I have had some real disappointment with other sweeps in the past, so I was happy to see very positive reviews for this father/son team and wanted to give them a try - they are VERY nice guys who know what they are doing and are reasonably priced - I will definitely use them again -

Jim Fletcher (father and son) are professionals who relate extremely well to customers and demonstrate highly competent skills. While Mr Fletcher Sr. helped to dispense fire-safety information, his son carried out the routine inspection and removal of unwanted blockages. What a team!

We just purchases a new house and the first thing we did was have the fireplace inspected. We found out it looked like the previous owner did not have the chimney cleaned the entire 30+ years she owned the house, nor did she have a rain cap on the chimney. This was causing the firebrick liner grout to deteriorate and cause the bricks to fall back in the firebox. Jim and his dad were very professional. They explained what they were going to do and didn't finish until the job was done. Jim mentioned that we might need an insert if we wanted to use the fireplace. I asked if that was necessary since we loved the look of the fireplace, and we did not need it for heat. He took a closer look at things and said that since we didn't need the fireplace as an additional heat source, that we would be fine with the liner.

I do not live in this home. It is an investment. The renters were very happy with the work done and said Jim was very professional and cleaned up after himself. My dealings with him were over the phone. He promptly emailed the suggested repair pictures with a quote for those repairs. At this time I did not have repairs done. I will surely call Jim when I have the work done.
