Three years later and we are still in love with our home. The quality of our house is outstanding and the only time we have had a small issue (a crazy storm blew off roof shingles) they have been responsive and helpful - even when it was not required of them to do so. They stand by their excellent product and provide attentive customer service at every opportunity.. Dan is the best and we have really enjoyed working with him. We would recommend a Tim O'Brien home to anyone.
Description of Work: We bought a new home from them.

We had no trust in this builder and were concerned that there would be other pricing surprises in the future. We are looking for another builder.
Description of Work: We approached Tim Obrien Homes in May of 2013 to build our new home. We had looked at their models and were pleased with the quality of work. We picked a floor plan and began the pricing effort with the Tim Obrien representative. We felt that we were very clear on what we wanted but it took several iterations to get the pricing somewhat stable. Each iteration took 2 to 3 weeks for a response from Tim Obrien. We wanted our house complete by the end of 2013 so we were hoping to settle the pricing quickly and get the house started. By August it was apparent that our completion date was not going to happen. We felt that we were close to a price (even thought the price increased by about $2500 during the pricing effort). We finally had a site visit. We told The representative that we felt the price was close enough and that we should go ahead with contracts. About a week later we received a revised pricing sheet that now showed the price at about $20,000 higher than what we thought and we would not get into the house until April 2014. Needless to say with all the delays and never getting a full and complete pricing sheet we decided it was time to look for another builder.
