Stanek Windows

Scheduling and installation were not as promised and service is wanting also: After placing our order for three windows and a patio door, I contacted the Stanek salesman to insure that the person who was supposed to show up to measure our windows at a ?scheduled time? would be here. The salesman said that the measurer had been hunting and might not be able to meet his scheduled time. I was adamant that he be here as had been agreed upon because of time constraints; he did arrive. At the time of ordering, we were told that installation would be anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks after measuring and we would be contacted for an install date so this measure time was important. After the measuring, we didn?t hear from Stanek for several weeks hoping for an install date, and I sent several emails to the salesman alerting him to the fact that my husband would be out of the country for six weeks and installation was paramount in a time frame that should have been met. Finally an "installation/crew supervisor" contacted us. After a lengthy phone conversation with the scheduler, we were given a date for installation which was very, very inconvenient ? the reason being that the salesman had been sent an email earlier advising him of a confirmed airline reservation that impacted this proposed installation and my husband would be out of the country for six weeks. Telling the scheduler of this dilemma, we agreed upon a date two months in the future. I was told that I should call him the Friday before the future scheduled Monday installation to make sure everything was in order. I did that and the scheduler said, SORRY, he could not keep that installation date, etc. etc. etc. and it was cancelled though this date had been agreed upon two months earlier. The crew supervisor told me to keep on checking the weather over the weekend using Weather.com, call him on Monday morning, and pick either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for installation depending upon what I thought the weather might be on one of these three days. He told me that if the date I chose had inclement weather, we would be put on the bottom of the schedule and another future date would be assigned for installation. Luckily I chose a date where installation was met. At installation, I saw a screen was torn and pointed this out to the installers, and the installers made note of it and told me it would be replaced. Almost two weeks later when I didn?t hear from Stanek, I contacted the salesman via email. He answered me the next day saying my email pointing out this problem would be forwarded to another party. A number of days have gone by and I am still waiting for a contact. Also I mentioned the outside window frame was bent. Since then, I also have looked at the concrete that has been scarred by the installers and this will also have to be addressed when I will FINALLY be contacted.

We liked them very much for what they did. I was there during the start of the installation and I though they did a wonderful job, we were very pleased with the windows we had installed. I went on to Angie's List and looked at several service providers. We chose Stanek because of their warranty.

I believe Stanek is more false advertisement than anything else. We have had issues with the electrical when they put the doors in. They some how messed with the doorbell. The wiring was reveresed on the doorbell. Niether of the backdoor doorbells work now. We had to call them back out. They were supposed to fix it, but they never did. I do believe the door company was sub-contracted and not directly through Stanek. Stanek just did the guarantee work for them. The company was not responsible for it, because it fell under my Stanek contract. The insulator strip under the door came loose within the first year. It just started to disinegrate. I have never had an insulator strip come loose that quickly. The door is a little off kilt. The gap on the left side is wider than the gap on the right hands side. The window handles that you use to slide the windows back and forth have come off. I called them back to have them replaced and they did some sort of application with them and put the same handles back on. They have been off for the past 4 years now. I refuse to call them back out because they don't want replace things, they want to replace it with the same faulty material. They were custom made because of the window size. I think it would cost them too much to have it replaced rather than repairing it. Some of the material is coming loose. If the locks aren't done properly than pieces will come off. We asked them a lot of questions about what they would do if we had problems. They told us that they would come out and replace anything that was faulty. I felt like they were responsive while they were here working, but then they didn't live up the their expectations after. We purchased one of their top of the line windows at that time. It has cut down on my electric bill. The minute we called them with the problems they should have replaced them, not repaired them.

They were pretty competitive. They matched all the prices. My interaction with them was okay. The sales guy was good. I didn't have a good experience with another contractor for the same issue, but it was a good experience with Stanek. You get what you expect. I was pleased with their work. Their professionalism and customer service were fine. It was hard to compare them all, but they were a little expensive. I would use them in the future if I needed some work done.

Received brochure in the mail and am looking for storm windows. Called and set an appt for 6:00PM tonight, 6/29. No show, no phone call. Won't call them again.

I really like Stanek Windows! I had first used them in 2000 to replace my nine foot patio door and have not had one bit of problem with the door in 10 years. This year, I had them replace 2 sidelights and will have them do a third this year. I live in a condo and have referred 5 of my neighbors to Stanek and each of them got bids from Stanek and at least 2 other companies and all of them went with Stanek for the price and the product. The whole process from the salesman to the final measurement to the installtion was on time, friendly and efficient. The installers were fast and very neat -- My home was cleaner when they left than it was before they got here! I really like that Stanek is not a third party in the process as they manufacture the windows and doors and have a lifetime guarantee.

Dwaye was our salesmale and came out a few times to make sure we were all on the same page. did the windows and the siding. they do contract out for siding installation but they did a great job. my entire home old wooden trim was wrapped as well.

I can be hard to get a hold of the agent that we have worked with. If I cannot get a hold of them right away, I can always leave a message and they will usually call me back before the day is over. If we have a problem, once we got a hold of them they came right out sometimes the very next day. The guys who come out always take the time to show us what was wrong and explain everything to us. They make sure to keep us informed when they come out. The price is great, because the windows have a lifetime warranty. They have a good reputation and are well known in the area.

They came right out to do the estimate and the install. They were very good about explaining the options and answering any of my questions. They came out and designed a window to go in place of the picture window. They did not use any of the sales tactics on us. They came out, gave us the quote and told us they would call us back in a couple of days. I was very impressed with them. They did a wonderful job.

Their products are fantastic and I was very happy with their services. They were timely and did a wonderful job on the installations. I have had problems on 3 different occasions and they have come out each time and gotten the problems fixed without any charge. I really like them a lot.

I was happy with the windows. They installed them in one day. I was not happy with the person who put the vinyl on. He started and ran out of vinyl and then came back again and again. It took him too long, but he did a good job. I had to call quite a few times to complain. It just took too long. The windows are not as easy as I thought they would be to bring in. I'm not sure if I would hire them again.

They explained everything up front. When they installed them two servicemen did a very good job putting in that many windows. Their pricing is very competitive with everybody else.

This was an outstanding experience. Craig Stites was my salesman who explained everything to me in detail. He remained patient with me while I peppered him with every conceivable question regarding windows that I could think of. His demonstration of window efficiency and the features of the window was very good. Prior to deciding to purchase the windows, I had a few lingering concerns. Craig arranged for the General Manager, Robert Knechd, and me to discuss the windows and the timing of the installation. Robert reassured me that they would be installed by the deadline indicated in the contract. Ultimately they were installed almost two weeks early. In the end, the new windows make it feel like we are in a new house altogether. I have not yet received a fuel bill, but can already feel a difference in that there is no longer a draft. The kids have commented about how much warmer it is in their rooms. Installer workmanship was flawless. They respected my house and family.

Ordered three of their level 9 windows (most energy efficient) and was advised it will take 6-8 weeks. At the eight week point they called and advised our windows were in. I scheduled an appointment for installation where I would be able to take vacation. 15 minutes after they were to be at our house they called to say that they did not have the windows after all someone failed to count the number of windows received. We were told the next shipment would be in two weeks and they would call that Tuesday, so we scheduled the install for the following Thursday (another day of vacation). The Tuesday came and no call. Went to their office on Wednesday to find out that the windows failed to come in again. They did hire a separate delivery to complete the installation this time but even though they said they would make it right never contacted us again to compensate for the extra time off I was required to take. Of course we received the bill same day as install.

From the start, we were impressed with our salesman, Lew. We had four other window companies come prior to Stanek, and Lew was by far the most personable, non-pressure salesperson we had. He gave us ideas and understood what we wanted instead of just trying push the sale. It took a few months to get the windows, which was understandable for the time of year. Although it took longer than expected, Stanek was quick to schedule an appointment once the windows arrived. The day of the installation went without problems. The two installers were very friendly, professional, and seemed to be very experienced. Interestingly, they talked very little to each other while working: they seemed to have a "system" in place and worked efficiently. So far the windows have been great, and are great improvement over our old windows. Not only were we impressed by Lew, but the product specs also drew us to Stanek. The windows were also available in the two-toned color we needed.

I am very pleased with their work. They arrived as scheduled, removed the old door in remarkably short period of time, installed the new one, cleaned the glass, cleaned the floor both inside the house and on the patio and departed, all within about an hour and an half. Both installers were professional and personable. The door is beautiful. I would highly recommend Stanek.

I SPOKE TO BILL, CAME OUT ON 03/08/2007 AND HAD MEETING AND LOOKED OVER THE DATA THAT I HAD PUT TOGETHER. HE TOOK A LOOK AT THE NUMBERS AND HE CONTACTED ME BACK AND STATED THAT THE WINDOWS WOULD BE REPLACED AGAIN. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT TODAY TO REPLACE THEM AND EXPECT PAYMENT IN FULL. ON 04/24/07, THEY REPLACED ALL BUT THE SLIDING DOOR AND WILL REPLACE THAT ON 05/16/2007. AFTER MUCH ADO AND DEBUT I FEEL THAT I DID NOT GET MY MONIES WORTH AND WAS TREATED POORLY.

Very pleased with service and quality of work. Picture window looks great and opens up room, installed new oak molding around window and doors as an added touch which was included in price.

We were solicited by phone as a previous customer and told there was an expected price increase. We phoned to have small windows expanded into picture windows. A courteous salesman came at our convenience. However, the job was beyond the scope of their company.

They came to make the repair, they promised to cover the outside edges of the window to ensure that no water would seep in, & that wasn't done. The man who came to look at the situation & put in the shimmy told me that I should've researched the position before having it installed. I told him it wasn't a good design, & he said, "It was designed by engineers." They subcontract, which might've harmed the quality of the work. The guys who came had to put a can under their truck to catch leaking oil. I left a message w/no c/back. The initial service was good & prompt, but when they came to repair it, problems began. Once they run with your money, the service suffers. The product is not good-- it's cheap-looking. They blindly protect their product, even though I can prove there's a problem. (Their engineers must not have tested their product for w/standing water.) Great initial service hides poor quality of product. The 3rd time when they came out to make the repairs it took them 3 hrs.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE. THE SALESMAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WAS NOT PUSHY. THERE WAS A LARGE GAP IN TIME BETWEEN OUR QUOTE AND WHEN WE DECIDED TO MOVE FORWARD.

The installers were very fast and friendly. Did an excellent job. The warranty is great, they came out to fix a screen that was pushed out without a problem and to re-insulate around the window at no charge. The insulation value of the window frame is not good. I still can feel cold radiating through in the winter. I liked the service but not the product.

WE RECENTLY HAD TWO STANEK WINDOWS INSTALLED IN ONE OF OUR APARTMENTS. THE QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS IS VERY GOOD. UNFORTUNATELY, THE INSTALLER EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY WAS NOT. HE WAS RUDE, INSULTING AND HAD AN ?IN YOUR FACE? ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER. WHILE TAKING OUT THE TENANT?S AIR CONDITIONER, HE DAMAGED THE TENANT?S PROPERTY THAT COULD HAVE BEEN REUSED IF HE HAD TAKEN MORE CARE IN REMOVING IT. THE INSTALLER DIDN?T ASK IF WE WANTED THE OLD GLASS WINDOWS AND SCREENS FOR FUTURE USE. HE ASSUMED THE OLD PARTS WERE OF NO USE TO US BEFORE BENDING THE ALUMINUM SCREENS. THE INSTALLER NEEDS TRAINING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO STANEK WINDOWS BECAUSE OF THIS ONE INDIVIDUAL.

WE ENTERTAINED 3 ESTIMATES FOR THE JOB AND WE''RE VERY PLEASED WE CHOSE AARON AND STANEK WINDOWS. WINDOWS LOOK GREAT AND THERE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. PROMPTLY CAME OUT TO RE SERVICE THE CASEMENT WINDOWS HANDLE AFTER MY MOTHER-IN-LAW''S DOG CHEWED ON IT! TALK ABOUT A GUARANTEE THAT A COMPANY STANDS BEHIND-STANEK HAS IT!
