I contacted Badger Carpentry on May 24, 2016 and we arranged for an estimate for a remodel of a small bathroom. Bob came out for a walk thru and project measure on June 3, 2016. We were told that they would have an estimate for our project within a week (this was fine since we were not in a particular rush). On June 3, 2016, I got an email from Jeremy asking if we had another toilet in the home (I replied that we did). He replied thanks to my response (everything seemed normal at this point). I did not hear anything at all from them after this. I assumed that they might be busy, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I emailed them again on June 30, 2016, asking if I had missed an email with their quote...no response. I never heard from them again...this is just bad business. If they did not want to do my project they simply could have informed me of that instead of making me wait around for a quote that wasn't coming. I am glad I'm not out any money in the process.

It started out very well , Jeremy from Badger got back to me right away . Bob came out took pictures and we talked about what was going to be done , he did say they were busy and it would be a couple of weeks . It was in early July I got an email from Jeremy that they reached my estimate and I should have it by the end of the week . That was the last I heard from them that was over a month ago . That is what I do not understand , They go through the work of coming to your house and getting all the info. then nothing . Never Again !

Fantastic! I couldn't be more please with the results. Badger remodeled my kitchen 9 years ago and when I entertained the thought of this addition I knew I would work with Bob and his crew again. They are professional, timely, and do quality work. I also appreciated arriving home at the end of the day knowing they would cleaned up. Bob gives you a calendar at the beginning of the project with the plan of what will happen and the projected date of when it will happen. They were either on time or ahead of schedule. If I had any issues, it was reviewed with a plan to resolve. If I every needed anything else done again they would be my only call.

They did a great job installing in a very reasonable amount of time. Did a great job cleaning up the work site and it has been over a year later and the roof is perfect. Would use them again.

Great, on time. Had extra guys on job to be sure completed in 1 day. It was a remodel, and 1 or 2 things I would have done differently - hence the imperfect score, but we are scheduled to do more work. Highly recommended.

It was great. It was a wonderful experience. The workers were professional. The job was done in a timely fashion. I have no complaints.

Easy to work with, no problems. A family run business that we felt like we were part of for the two weeks it took to complete the job. All contractors they deal with are first class and will be happy to use in the future for plumbing or electrical needs. I was given a proposal that was over $6000 of a previous well reputed contractor. I wanted to go with that contractor, but when I chose to proceed, he had already booked his schedule. So, I received Badger's and accepted. It was for $25000, which, per previous writings, seems to be his pat estimate for similar jobs. I was given a calendar that stated the project would be completed within 2 weeks. Due to mismanagement of the project's work details, and of the sub contractors used, the project was finished in the 7th week. Bob had to come by, per my prodding, to complete things that his staff did not. I noticed that Badger states they use 90+% of own staff. That did not appear true in my case. Bob's staff consisted of three work men who tore up the flooring, placed cabinet doors, and built the mantle. Other workers consisted of subcontractors, of which one in particular was not quality in their time or work. During this project I also used wallpaper, painting and my own handyman professional services. All were of excellent quality and professionalism. I personally would not hire this company again. Should you do so, place caveats in the agreement regarding quality and timeliness of project completion, and related deductions for such. Great lesson learned.

Everything went well. The gentleman was dependable and honest, and he checked his crew's work to make sure it was satisfactory. He charged a reasonable price, too.

The estimator came and we looked at the property. He did some measuring, some sketching, and talked about some of his ideas. He provided an estimate in a very timely manner.

This is the second time I have worked with Badger Carpentry which speaks for itself. The first job was the remodeling of my kitchen which involved the removal of a large portion of the front of my home and roofline. They did a great job all the way through on the first job which led me to work with them a second time. I did not get any other bids as I knew I wanted to work with this contractor again. Bob Bates is easy to work with and very knowledgeble He does a great job in guiding, not pushing you through the job. His ability to coordinate all of the various subcontractors is flawless. He does not waste any time with getting the job done and he is mindful of the cost. I would describe myself as being picky/high maintenance when a project like this is happening. Bob handled this well. He educated me as we moved through the project and resolved any concerns that I brought up. His team of carpenters are great, beautiful work. I held off on completing this review as I wanted to live in the space for some time to make sure there were no issues and if there were I wanted to experience how Badger would respond to any concerns. After recent warm weather I found the addition did not cool down as I would like. This was an anticpated concern on my part knowing this was a renovated attic space and it would not be unusual. I sent an email to Badger with this issue, received a followup call and I had the subcontractor at my home within one day to review options to resolve this concern. Very pleased with the response.The addition is beautiful! I could not be any more satisfied.

Very well - I wasn't there but the results were great!

He was very professional and efficient, and the quote was very detailed. It was more than I was willing to pay and I found someone to do the work for less money.

They addressed each situation as needed, and worked around our schedule as much as they were able. We were quite pleased with the results.

They seem to understand the problem and know the right solution. They seemed very knowledgeable. They promptly returned our calls when there was kind of an emergency.

I just talked to Bob the other day. He was very thorough. The estimate was for $25,000. He will be doing work for us next month. I've been talking to him on and off for a year about this major project. The main problem I have with contractors is that they don't follow through, but Bob is different. The main reason I'm going with him is his proper follow through. He does it to the T. He is great. People would come out and say they would get back to us, but they never do. I am big on customer service.

Planning and permits took about six weeks...a little longer than expected but worth the time as the plan met all our requirements. Work began a week after permits were received and crew showed up everyday for the next two weeks. Crew was very professional and friendly. They left the job site in good order each day and went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied with their work. Inspections went smoothly with no major issues. Crew showed up periodically over the next month as items like windows were delivered for the finished work. Both the results and experience met all our expectations.

They seemed to understand the problem and had a simple solution for it. They seemed to know what they were talking about. We will consider using this company again in the future.

Bob Bates had calendar showing what would happen when and pretty much stuck with it, but be sure to get confirmations on what he plans to do first so his thoughts agree with yours, and you get what you want. We enjoy our remodel, and plan to work with Badger Carpentry in the future for new windows.

They were fantastic. The guy gives you a schedule and tells you what day everybody is going to be there on, and he is right to the day. He has got a calendar he gives and when he tells you somebody is going to be there, they are there. They are very, very organized.

Bob and his crew are terrific! They are good at staying on task. We were nervous about jacking up this old porch as it has 14 windows that didn't close because over the years the porch had sunk 3-4 inches. Our house is stucco and the porch wood. None of the stucco cracked and as soon as they had it lifted all the windows closed! We did have some problems with their electrical subcontractor getting here to finish his work but Bob handled it. I've seen kitchens, baths and additions they've done too which came out great. After having a bad experience in Ohio with a general contractor Bob was a breath of fresh air!
