 + 0 moreThe windows were great, but the garage organization wasn't really what they said it was. I wasn't that pleased with them. I wouldn't do it again. I just didn't think their work was all that good. Their interaction was good. The garage organization was a lot of money for the work that he did.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big deal for Lake Shore Services for $105 for Inside or Outside Window Cleaning and $179 for Spring Garage Clean-out, Organization and Haul Away. They cleaned all the windows.

When Lake Shore showed up, he said it was too much stuff and I asked him to simply provide the service for the 2 hours that were included in the Big Deal. He did not want to provide the service at all and it was a terrible experience.

 + -1 moreJamie performed a number of tasks on our house, and he did a fantastic job. We were really happy with all the work, and he was really patient with us, because we added a number of items as the project went on. The windows in the basement were gleaming they were so clean. It added so much light to the basement, it was liking walking into a different house. He did a great job on all of the other tasks we asked of him, and he did them in a timely manner. When he knew he needed more time he would call or text me and let me know when he could come back. I would suggest his services to anyone I know, and if we hadn't moved recently, we would definitely be calling on him again.
Description of Work: Jamie removed, cleaned and replaced all of our basement windows, removed the old screens, cleaned all of the walls and floors of the basement and then painted the walls. He took care of removing all of the debris, and also moved all of the items we had in the basement, which included many heavy boxes and other assorted items. He also calked our baseboards, shortened doors so they opened easier, installed door stopper magnets and cleaned out our garage.

 + -1 moreThe work went well as far as I know. The job was quality as far as I know. Very cooperative and on time. Willing to help to get job done.
Description of Work: Jamie removed the present cabinet that was in the bathroom and the shower doors. He installed a new cabinet, plumbing and cleaned shower tub ledge after removal of shower doors. He needed other parts and went to get them as well as left the receipts at the house, etc. He was timely and provided a completed receipt via email to both my sister and I as asked. I asked him to work with my sister there to scheduled times to do the estimate and do the work. I have tried to get a report on quality of work but my sister has not gotten back with me after asking several times. I rated him well as I am sure from his reputation he did well and I would have heard if any thing was different. The completed work invoice came via email and I think it should have come via a paper receipt with the name of company and logo on it for records purposes. If one advertises his company then his invoice should reflect that. I am sure we will use him again if need be and therefore I rated him well overall. I will insist on a company logo invoice the next time around rather then an email with the work completed since he is a professional advertised company.

 + -1 moreIt went great! Jamie returned my phone calls promptly and was able to come take a look at the job on the same day that we spoke on the phone. He quickly assessed the problem and a way to fix it and he returned the next afternoon to do the job. I wasn't here while he performed the service but my fiancee said that it took him about a half an hour and we feel that what he charged us was exceptionally fair. I had had another service provider quote me a MUCH higher price/longer fix time/scheduled farther out for the same job, same fix, so I'm thrilled to have gotten this job over with quickly and painlessly. I will definitely be calling Jamie Conklin for more services in the future.
Description of Work: Part of my front steel storm door (the part containing the strike plate, where the lock meets it) had been jammed and subsequently ripped out of the wall. I simply needed the strip re-attached so that the latch and strikeplate could align and so that the door could be locked (which it wasn't doing previous to having Jamie fix it--it was poorly installed years ago--different service provider). He also made a little cut in one of the edges so that our front light (which we'd replaced ourselves and was hanging askew) now hangs straight.

 + -1 moreOur windows were embarrassingly in need of a thorough washing inside and out. The job became unexpectedly more difficult as the combination storms and screens wouldn't come apart and had to be disassembled entirely from inside the house. Jaimie good naturedly tackled the more complicated procedure and made every one of our windows and sidelights and glass doors becpme virtually invisible. He didn't increase his quoted price despite the hassle factor. It is amazing - the windows are more than 30 years old and now they sparkle like optical quality glass! We were delighted with his very professional work and relieved that our gentle but barky collie dog didn't seem to bother him. They bonded by the end of his hours with us and Jaimie humorously said he wanted to take him home as partial payment! We were happy to give him a substantial tip and we will absolutely recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

 + 1 moreIt was one guy that came out and he emptied out most of the garage. The deal was for a two-car garage, I have a three-car garage, and I had to pay extra for the third one. Then he organized it and we went through it. I worked with him to determine what was junk and what I wanted to save. He loaded up his van with what was junk and we also loaded up my pick-up truck with the things that I wanted to donate to charity. Then the rest of it was put back into the garage after he blew it out and power washed it. I thought that it turned out pretty nice. My only complaint was he had a lot of garbage to haul off and all he had was this van, there was stuff that he could not take because all he had was a van. He did organize it well enough that I could still get it down and recycle some of it and things like that. It was about $25 more for the third garage. He did a lot in the time that he was here. I might use them again.

When I called a month ago, he very nicely said he would honor the coupon still. We set a date, he arrived on time and quickly got to work cleaning the exterior windows, window sills and screens. We scheduled another date for him to come back to do the interior. I don't know what the final cost will be but I am pleased with the work that was done so far and I'm sure that Jaime's additional charges will be reasonable.

 + -1 moreThings went very well. Firstly, Jamie went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. which was very much appreciated. He showed up on time, worked efficiently and was pleasant as well as professional. When the quantity of my windows needing work exceeded the amount allowed by the voucher, Jamie did a quick calculation and made a fair price offer for the overage. My only dissatisfaction with the experience had to do with the verbiage in the voucher which provided a price for a certain number of 'windows.' Potential customers need to be aware that the term 'window' should more specifically be 'per window pane.' Each of my old style arched 'windows' were actually four panes which greatly increased the 'per' price.
Description of Work: Jamie of Lake Shore Serv provided window washing on first floor windows, inside and out, of a 1920s home with many windows.
