I The above tells how it went. The owner of this company did not back up his work. He did not even talk with us, but made the installer act as a go- between. (This is a small company.) Companies that don't stand behind their work and keep their customers happy, should not be allowed to go unreported. He should have worked with us until our TV was working reliably once again, but chose to ignore us. We were very dissatisfied with this lack of service. Currently our TV is working, but we never know when it will be out for days at a time. ON and off ever since we had this installed, it has failed to work consistently. It is now fall of 2013, and the TV again has whole days in which the antenna fails to work and we cannot see channel 11 at all. There is a"no content" message on the scree following days of high pixelation. I had called this company and told them I was going to go to this list and give them a bad report but I wanted to contact them first to see what they had to say. The owner told me, basically, that a trip out to New London would not be cost effective and he couldn't afford to come out and fix the problem. The distance was not a problem for them when he took the job in the first place. I explained that I didn't feel he could get much business by not backing up his work. Again, he kept trying to get me to understand his side. He simply couldn't afford to come out and make it right. He did offer to come out and redo some of the wiring or cabling which he felt might be the issue, but I would need to pay another $200. Needless to say, I didn't want to spend any more money with this country. This has been a long and sad story for us, an is still unresolved. I believe I tried to be fair by calling him before posting anything, but I am not satisfied with the job, and we still don't have reliable TV service on channel 11 - that was what I explained was the goal of our hiring and that was made clear from the getgo.
Description of Work: The owner of the company sent out an installation person who did his job, was punctual, very nice man. No complaints about what the installer did. He took down our dish TV dish and replaced it with an antenna he sold us so we could eliminate the monthly fees and still get local stations 2,5,11, and 26. That is all we wanted. It was a brutally hot day and he had to work longer than expected to do the location of the existing cabling. I felt bad for him that day, but all seemed to work well. The trouble started five months later when we stopped being able to get channel 11, and then we lost all service for days at a time. It seemed to remedy itself when we adjusted cable on the back of the TV, but that was coincidental and the problem - no TV - came back. Multiple calls were made and the installer was our go between. WE were never able to talk to te boss. The installer felt our pain and tried to help us out but we were told they would have to come out and do it all over - differently this time. And we would owe another $246. The installer tried to get the owner to understand he needed to back up the antenna he sold us and the work that was done. He would not give us any money back or fix the issue, unless we paid again.
