I felt they knew older homes, that was a selling point for me. Some are good, some are bad. I'm disappointed, personally I am. I had a lot of kind of fighting with the owner. He was kind of unwilling to do what we wanted him to do. Every year he seemed to get sloppier. We put in a new electrical service and he messed up all the writing on there. He crossed out writing and has lines all hooked together on one side of the house, its a mess. If I was smarter and knew what he was doing, I never would have hired him.
Description of Work: They have done my electrical work for 20 years.

Ivan Martin and his team did a great job on the house. He is an honest, sincere and trustworthy craftsman in his trade. Ivan is also a good teacher; he took the time to explain things to us in a way that clearly showed he was passionate about sharing his knowledge and doing things the right way. Ivan is also someone who can appreciate the value of an old home (ours was 100 years old back in 2000) - unlike other electricians that are only interested in working on new/newer homes. Growing up on the east coast, I am not a trusting person, and I not only trusted Ivan to be alone in our house all day, but I also trusted him and his crew to not set our dog free with all the goings-in and out of the house.
Description of Work: Added a water softener outlet, connected all basement lights to a single switch, added light and outlet in coal room, replaced 6 outlets, added 2 new outlets, added a 3-way switch, general removal of knob-and-tube wiring, added 2 outlets on their own 20 amp circuit. Addded phone and network ports and networking wiring all throughout the house. Added a door opener outlet to the garage.
