Description of Work: We called greens apes after we discovered a breach in the siding in the exposed basement allowing water in and mold to develop. Greenscapes came within days of calling them and cleared away the dirt that had fallen and built up above the siding line. They also rebuilt the retaining wall to prevent anymore soil seeping out. Good fast work though they did leave a bit of mess on the lawn but that's easily forgiven.

Description of Work: I called to request that someone come out to provide an estimate on some work we wanted done in our front yard. That was the extent of our communication - no one ever contacted me about this. As a result, we moved on and have contracted the work with another company. I contacted Greenscapes because of the positive reviews received on Angie's List. Evidently we fell through the cracks. This is exactly what happened, since the company contacted me as a result of my review and apologized profusely. This was, I am convinced, an honest mistake. The company even offered to do some other work for us for free, or at a reduced cost, just to demonstrate the kind of company they really are. That was a classy move on their part, and I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future should I need more landscaping work performed.

 + -1 moreThey usually showed up before the snowfall had ended. Therefore I was left with the task of clearing out the driveway in the morning so I could get to work. Clearing the driveway, after the snow plows had come through, was my main reason for hiring snow removal. Before signing the contract, I expressed my concerns, especially since I live on a road that is usually one of the last to be plowed, I did not want to rack up excess charges for repeat visits and was assured this would not be an issue. They also used a plow for the driveway and would leave snow pack of up to 4 inches on the sidewalk.

 + 0 moreNot that well, but mostly not their fault. They were just beginning the grading when the a fire hydrant was flushed and flooded the front two thirds of the yard. They tried to work on the non-flooded part while the rest dried -- with the result that not enough soil was placed in the appropriate areas so that the tree ended up on a little mound in the middle of the yard and the rest of the lawn was sunken around it rather than having a gradual swale to one side of the yard only where the drainage pipe was placed. Also they ran out of sod and had to go back to the greenhouse and get some left over pieces from another project to fill in the rest of the lawn. We may have the front yard re-landscaped when we landscape the back yard after an addition is built.

They did not, as our previous company did, rush over on days there was a tiny bit of slush, then plow it yards into the lawn, with real damage, just so we'd see they were actually there. They were great, and a refreshing change.By the way, the "date of service" is not relevant. It was ongoing , as needed through the winter.
Description of Work: Excellent work and timeliness. The prices were fair and exactly as quoted. Hard to believe that in addition to doing the best work, they also had the best prices. Here:s what they did and didn't do compared to our previous snow removal company: They came only when needed and then they came soon. Their billing always reflected the actual work done on the dates they said. Since they billed based on nsow depth, their report of depth was always

 + -1 moreVery well. I'm a pretty light sleeper and often my neighbor's snow removal service wakes me up, but I didn't even hear Greenscapes visit. But besides the work, I especially appreciated their flexibility in setting up the snow removal terms. For example, if there's a light snow my kids and I will just clear it, but I wanted someone else to handle heavier snows for us. They were happy to do that for us. I also found the communication very good at times when we ended up not needing their help, or had questions about upcoming service. We plan to sign up with them again next year.
Description of Work: They cleared our driveway and sidewalk of snow twice this winter. We also needed them to be on call for a winter vacation, and though we didn't end up needing their services I appreciated knowing they would take care of snow removal in our absence.
