ROETHEL ELECTRIC

when looking around for an electrician to work on our remodeling project, a friend recommended Roethel Electric. The owner came to our house, and we later received an email from our friend with a few quotes. One of them from Roethel Electric, which was quite vage, but the best quote for the jobs to be done. The email read, that the whole wiring of the house with standard outlets and lightswitches would be around $9500.00, if we wanted more modern outlets, switches and fixtures, it could go up to $11000.00. One of the first jobs in need to be done, was switching over our electric from commercial to residential, with 2 new meters installed, 2 new fuse boxes and the wiring for the fuse boxes. The sons of the owner performed most of the work. I had asked the owner numerous times for an interim invoice, so that we would not get a bad surprise. After the switch of the electric was done, the suprise came. Even though we only received the 2 new meters, which were hooked up by the electric company, and 2 new fuse boxes, which were installed and the wire for them pued by the electrician, none of the wiring for the downstairs was done, but we received an invoice for $7800.00. Since we did not have a written estimate from Roethel Electric themselves, and the email was just a "piece of paper" our friend sent us, we were s.o.l. Never again, is all I have to say.

The electrical work was done when required and with quality. We had a walk through prior to the work and Jeff made suggestions for additions. We wish he would have informed us about more since we did not know there was only one room with a switched outlet. We thought this was standard. Jeff was available to meet with us at our convenience and was helpful.
