Description of Work: I listed my home with this Real Estate Agency under the recommendations of a professional that is also involved in the Real Estate Market (not an agent). This is the first time I have ever sold a house. First off I was forced to sign a 6 months contract with her and was told this was industry standard (I know better now). I was told by her that she was rated one of the top marketers in the city of La Crosse (whatever) and my home would be listed on multiple sites and she was very aggressive. She seemed very nice and for the first couple of weeks of the listing everything was great. She was helpful, called every few days to give me an update on how things were going, gave me advice. I found out (after I signed the contract, unfortunately) that she had a disagreement with the La Crosse Tribune and doesn't do business with them any longer (the only newspaper in the La Crosse area) and I had to BEG her to do 1 open house in 6 months. She told me that my house was filthy (I had cleaned it from top to bottom) and also told the person that referred me to her that my house had a terrible odor and she couldn't take anyone through it (He told her that it didn't smell, which it didn't; there were air fresheners on both levels!). After that she actually put a hold on it and wouldn't let anyone show it for 2 weeks without asking me or contacting me about it (I found out from the person that had referred me to her!) I also found out that there were people who asked to see my house that she wouldn't make an appointment with and she let people go through it with there shoes on and thus I got stains on my CLEAN carpet which later I had to clean at my expense. When I told her that I would not be renewing my contract with her at the end of 6 months (2 weeks before the contract was up) she refused to call me back, didn't answer either her cell phone or her office phone and I have had no contact with her since that time (she didn't even send the list of people who had looked at my house which is required of her to do if she wants any of the commission if those people should end up buying it). And speaking of returning phone calls when I had my home listed with her, I told her specifically when she should call me and when I was busy. She ALWAYS called me during my busy times and when I would call her back, she wouldn't answer and NEVER returned my phone calls. When I had questions and would leave them on her voice mail, she would have her assistant e-mail me back.
