While the price was a bit more than I expected, you do get what you pay for. Excellent work, good person, and kept in communication with me from quote through work. All you can ask for.

Extremely well. Dan and Susan coordinated with me on the selection, ordering and install of 2 windows. Additionally, I asked that cedar window trim be installed around my other windows as a separate project. Scheduling was timely and quality work was completed efficiently. They kept me apprised of any materials delays (covid-related) and were always highly responsive to my questions.

To say I’m deeply disappointed with the overall outcome of my experience and services provided would be an understatement. Dan came to see the spot where we needed a storm door in order to assess the scope of work and provide a quote. His wife provided a quote via email. Dying our meeting he discussed weatherstripping with copper and hanging a storm door for our half round front door. We were asked to pay half before the job was completed. On the day of instal dan had asked where all the hinges and other hardware were. When I let him know that I had asked his wife via email the week before our scheduled instal who was responsible for hardware and she noted that dan world being everything, he ignored it and acted very annoyed. I asked what hardware my husband should pick up and he told us which local store to go to and to ask for a specific employee who would know what hinges to give us. Dan then hung the storm door and installed the hardware but the hinges were the wrong ones as they didn’t clear the awning built in to our house. Dan then attempted to hack away at a portion of it with no success of getting the door to open. He told us “it’s unfortunate” but that we can figure out what type of hinges we need for this specific scenario, order them, and then he can come back for an hourly rate of $80 to install it all. That night his wife emailed me the invoice for the job…. Of the entire scope of work that was quoted dan installed flexible rubber weatherstripping and I was being billed over $1,000 for it. Hilarious. I let his wife know that I’m not willing to pay on a job not completed. This changed the tune of Dan’s approach. Suddenly he called saying he wants to make it right. When I let him know that I can’t open the front door with one hand as the weatherstripping is too tight he made a remark about differences of strength between men and women. He ended up picking up a pair and a half of hinges he should have gotten in the first place and installed them, knowing we would be having the door painted. Upon the door being painted, it no longer closed. We had another handy man look at it and he removed the middle hinge as Dan had installed it backwards. The whole experience was absolutely awful. I would never recommend Dan to anyone.

Excellent, very professional, knew exactly what he was doing. The only delay was getting the parts from the door manufacture. I would recommend to everyone.

The overall experience was outstanding. Dan is professional and personable, and does excellent work. We had 10 room and linen closet doors replaced, with the linen closet doors changing to a custom pantry style door to match an existing linen closet door. In addition, we had bypass doors replaced on 4 closets. The new doors are solid core 6-panel. All were custom stained. High humidity weather affected drying time for the stain and finish on the doors, which delayed final installation, but we were kept informed of the status. The focus was clearly on letting the doors dry sufficiently so the job was done right, instead of rushing things to meet an artificial deadline. We're extremely pleased with the project, and highly recommend Dane's.

We had a total of 17 hollow core doors from the original house construction that were replaced with six panel. Dane’s facilitated the selection process of our new doors and hardware. Dan initially fitted and hung each door and then replaced the existing doors. We wanted to keep the existing door molding which was in good shape but required matching the original stain. The staining expert they provided worked with us and did not rush the process until we were satisfied and signed off on a sample match. The new doors were stained and finished after which Dan returned to complete the final installation. We are very happy with both the look and fit of the finished product and the quality of the work provided. Dan and Sue were a pleasure to work with and kept us well informed at each step of the process. I would highly recommend their services.

Dan was referred to me by Lisbon Storm, Screen & Door after I inquired about an installer to help with a window project we were having trouble with. Though Dan did not bid on this project, he took time out of his busy schedule to give me feedback on what was done so far and what needed to be done to get this back on track. His input was greatly appreciated as he has over 30 years of experience in the business, is very detail oriented and seems meticulous in his work. He had nothing to gain by giving me his honest opinion, other than helping a frustrated homeowner figure out the next step. Susan was also helpful in her communication with me up to the day of Dan's site visit and the followup afterwards. I highly recommend Dan, Susan and Dane's Quality Craftsmanship and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for a project that needs a company with tremendous problem solving abilities, quality work and great communication. Quality of work exceeded my expectations! The doors look wonderful from both inside and outside the house. The price of the work was reasonable and I would definitely use Dane’s Quality Craftsmanship for future projects.

This is my first Angies List review. My wife and I originally wanted a single door and side lights to replace a french double door system with storm doors. Went to home depot and had an estimate done. Installer came out and after taking measurements informed us that the opening would not support a single door and side lights without going to custom (WOOD) sizes. I wanted no maintenance doors and this would not work. Settled on replacing double doors with double doors. Home Depot then began messing up the order and their customer service (Installers and Store Employees) sucked. Finally got a call stating my install would have to be moved as the door hey were holding was damaged at the store. Only saving grace was that they refunded all of my money (Door was special order). Still needing a new front door I went on Angies List looking for contractors. Dan from Dane's Quality Craftsmanship called and an estimate was set up. Dan showed up on time and his communication was excellent. He was extremely friendly and understood what we wanted (Estimate for double door as we were told the side light and single door could not be done). The estimate was reasonable, but wanted a few more to compare so the job was not initially set up. While seeking other estimates, we were told that a single door and side lights COULD be done. These other contractors that came in either gave a "ballpark" estimated, or took forever to get back with an estimate, or did not get back at all after repeated calls. Needing to get the entry door replaced I contacted Dan again (6 Months after initial estimate). I explained what we wanted and the changes to his original estimate and requested he return to verify measurements. I was told that because he was busy he would not be able to return to remeasure, but due to his friendliness and customer service decided to hire him regardless. A deposit was paid and Dan did make a return trip to remeasure and provide a more detailed estimate of the new job (Single door and side lights). The estimate was along the same lines as the previous estimate (increased only a few hundred dollars). Dan ordered all the materials. Due to Covid, the wait for the materials was 6-8 weeks. When they did come in Dan was quick to set up an install date that matched with my schedule. Dan arrived on time and got the job done. Job took a day and a half to complete, with some modifications and additions discovered during the install. My wife and I now have a great looking front door that is sealed from the weather. We did not even want to open the prior door due to the issues with closing the doors. I would highly recommend Dan and Dane's Quality Craftsmanship not only for his quality of work, but also his friendliness and customer service.
