I don't recommend them because they are horrible. I had to get somebody else here to redo my bathroom for the third time to get it to passed inspection. They never even called the building inspector to do the final inspection. They only put in one vent screen outside which didn't passed inspection either so when we took it down to fix it ourselves, we looked up in there and non of the soffit venting was put in. All they did was just lay the soffit vent in the attic and never installed them.
Description of Work: I used Level Headed Carpentry for carpentry and wood working. They extended my bedroom and added master bath and a walk in closet.

Our house is approximately 20 years old - we have lived in it for almost 8 years. Since the recreation/office areas were showing their age, we wanted to find a contractor to improve the overall appearance of the space. We went to the Milwaukee NARI show to talk with several contractors who had good reviews on Angie's list. We also talked with a few other contractors to get a good cross-section. We came across Level Headed Carpentry in one of the booths, and really liked the person representing the company. We set up an appointment for Bob Grams, (414) 762-6004, to come to our house to review our project. Bob showed up right on time, and we found that we enjoyed working with him right from the start. We discussed what we wanted to do, and Bob offered some suggestions that helped considerably. We made an appointment for him to return with drawings and quotes. When Bob returned with his drawings, we had decided that we wanted to add cabinets and additional woodwork to both the office area and the recreation/TV area. Bob did an excellent job of discussing what we could put in each area. Since Level Headed Carpentry custom builds all their cabinets, Bob had the viewpoint of "if you can describe it, we can build it". We were invited to the showroom/workshop to see actual examples of their work rather than just looking at pictures or drawings. Both of our areas offered some unique challenges for cabinets - none of which slowed him down. We agreed on a price and a starting date, and Level Headed Carpentry went to work. Every single person that Bob sent to our house was friendly, treated us with respect, treated our house with respect, and was a true pleasure to have in our home. The professionalism and craftsmanship that they displayed was excellent. It was very apparent that each took great pride in doing the job with skill and attention to detail. It was impressive to see how well the team worked together to build, assemble, and install all the pieces of this project. We are very pleased with the final results and would highly recommend Level Headed Carpentry to others. There is very high probability that we will use Level Headed Carpentry again if we decide to update our kitchen or if we have another remodeling project.
Description of Work: Our basement is split into half utility area holding the furnace, water heater, work bench, and storage, and half recreation/office areas. The previous owner of the house had the recreation/office areas finished with paneling on the walls and dropped ceilings. The paneled walls and ceilings were showing their age, and we wanted to freshen/brighten up the area. During the project, Level Headed Carpentry replaced the old paneling and fiberglass ceiling tiles with new drywall and better quality ceiling structure and acoustic tiles. They installed new oak baseboards, window trim, and new oak stair rails and spindles. In addition, they custom designed, built, and installed beautiful knotty alder cabinets in both the recreation section and the office section of the basement. They also coordinated with a carpet dealership to have new carpet installed.
