Colt's Construction

My friend referred me to Colt as the person to talk with about installing a new driveway, front walk, garage floor, patio, and side walk to the patio.. Colt did a very nice job and listened to all my concerns. He handled each change to the original plan that we discussed. They were always on time and plenty of workers. One thing I saw during a heavy heavy rainfall was where this huge amount of rain falling all at once. The water on the front sidewalk went to the driveway and then turned 45 degrees towards where we wanted the water to go. I could see 6" tall waves. Colt aced this job. Perfect and his prices were close to all the other contractor's I spoke with. Did I mention he installed 2 rain gutter's drained under the sidewalk. Very nice work.

He and his workers were VERY respectful of our property and landscaping. He encouraged us to be around so he could ensure we were happy with how things were set up. They cleaned up the yard every night. He even assisted us replacing dirt after the concrete was completed. We went with Colton after seeing the great job he did on a neighbors project. Another neighbor who has the same yard set up as us had work done last year by a different contractor and now wishes she had gone with Colton because the pitch and quality difference is VERY visible. If you want a quality job, go with Colt's Construction.

showed up at time stated for estimate and actual work. stayed at the estimated cost. cleaned up. pleasant. professional. will be calling him in spring to rebuild one chimney. will not be calling him to rebuild chimney, as stated above. roofers stated, [march 2014], that not only did he do a poor job in the patching and tuckpointing of the damaged areas of both chimneys.......missed a lot of areas, did not completely patch/tuckpoint some areas.......but broke a total of 21 clay tiles around the brick chimney. called him and he will not take any responsibility. he assured me when he was being considered for the job, wrote up the estimate and came out to start the job that he was, indeed, experienced in masonry work on chimneys on clay tile roofs and would use special equipment and take precautions. guess what?he obviously did not. this is not something that the consumer/home owner could see from the ground level when the job has been completed, you have to just trust the person and what they tell you. shame on me! shame on colton kennedy!

He called back and looked more professional than most of the others that came out to look at the work. He gave a good, honest bid and was upfront that the price might go up depending on what he found when working on the walls. I was impressed with how knowledgable he was and friendly. He showed us what was happening each step of the way and wanted to make sure that we understand what was going on and gave approval before proceeding. I'm very happy with the work and would recommend him to anybody.
