Roofing Exterior Painting Tree Removal and Tree Pruning Storm-Damage Work

I was so happy to find Chad on Angie's List. He is very capable and does a great job. I will be calling him back soon to power wash the siding and repair a piece of siding. I know he will do a terrific job on both.

Due to a medical emergency, EMT's had to break into our house, which resulted in two broken exterior doors. This was causing me security issues and after reviewing local handymen on Angie's List, I contacted Grunts for Hire per other recommendations. Chad answered right away and although was busy with another job, still offered to come out that same day for an estimate. He took the time to listen to my situation and evaluate thoroughly what had to be done and once we agreed, he wrote an estimate which was fair for the materials and about how long it would take for labor. He scheduled me right away for a day and time that worked out for me. He actually was able to do the work earlier than expected and did a complete job in a short time. He was totally prepared, brought a helper, and was in and out in less than 2 hours. I would highly recommend Grunts for Hire and let him know his catchy name stands out!

He was able to complete the work within our tight window, was very thorough in all of the work and reduced his actual bill by $150 when the column repair required less work than he had originally estimated. All of his work was done in a quality way.

They have done several jobs for me. They put in a railing in my porch and installed a new storm door. They fixed the railing in less than 3 hours. I was really impressed with their work.

The handyman arrived promptly, we discussed what all needed to be done. He hung the trim work for 2 doors and a window. He went to the store to buy the wood to create baseboard molding. It didn't look right to me so we went back and I picked something else, we discussed stains, took it back to my house and he stained it and hung it on site. Overall the entire project took somewhere between 4-6 hours. I was and still am very pleased with the results. The cost was reasonable considering what work was needed.

Arrived on time. Attic job seemed to go well although it took longer than he had thought. Apparently had not had much experience with doors & locks, but worked it out. Sometimes I made suggestions that helped, even though I had no experience. Had to call him back about 3 weeks later, as door was not latching. Turned out the latch was defective. He went to the hardware store & got a replacement, which I was grateful for, since he had not been the one to have had the problem. He tends to speak in a gruff manner but when I asked about this, he said it was his way of joking with the customer. He seems to want to do a careful job.

Chad is personable and genuinely trying to do a quality job. Only area to be aware of is he tends to under estimate the cost of the job. Because Chad works hard and does good work, I quickly learned to add a bit to each job so that Chad covered his time. I mention this because I always had him give me an estimate and the final bill was at times for more, or I knew he was eating his time. All in all I feel the price I actually paid was fair.

The entire process went very well. He had to leave a bit early one day, but finished quite late the next day to make up for the time. We were more than happy with his service.

Her gave us advice on how to solve a couple other pesky problems on our own. He came to Stevens Point, which is a hour drive from his home location. The travel fee was reasonable. Great service. I called one day and he was able to come out the next day. We needed an opening were the sofet meets the siding closed. We also needed around the front door re-caulked. It took no time at all. Since the door wasn't closing properly I asked if he could deal with that as well.He's now been to our property twice and I will use him again for our general purpose needs. I just wanted to note that when you first see him you might be taken back... he looks a little intimidating, but he's a very nice guy. He was even a nice guy to my toddler.

I am 100% pleased with Chad from Grunt's for Hire. I will give anyone references if they need them for Grunts. Could not have asked for anything more. Thank You Grunts!!! Being that this was the first time ether of us had any experience with this product it was a bit challenging at times. The consistency is thick, similar to a solid stain with sand in it. The finished deck is amazing and should be good for 6-10yrs per manufacture. Love it, because all the flaws in the deck and covered by the product. Amazing product, amazing handyman!!

He was really fast. He came when he said he would. The price was very reasonable.

Built in cupboards above counter had been nailed up sometime before our occupancy of 34 years began. Shortly after replacing the china we had used for Christmas dinner, the whole thing crashed down. I checked Angie's list and got a neighbors referral as well, Chad was on Angie's list. I called three outfits. Only Chad called back. Chad came out the same day to estimate. He estimated two hours plus setup, quoted me a good price, and said he could perform the work the next afternoon. I hired him. He was delayed approximately two hours on his earlier job, but called as soon as it became apparent that he would be late. He came at the newly arranged time and worked diligently until completion. He glued and screwed some separated glue joints. He removed the nails that had been holding the cupboards up. He built braces. We put cabinets in approximate position where he braced them and then shimmed them into proper position. He replaced nails with wood screws and added more. He added woodscrews to other kitchen cabinets as preventive measure. He replaced some trim requiring some modification to molding. He gave me advice on how to repair one damaged bottom shelf. I had always intended to do this myself, because it involved additional time for fitting a piece, gluing, and clamping.

Chad the owner was very polite, professional, prompt and did a great job. When he came to look at the jobs and quote it, I had one area that he very honestly suggested could be covered under warranty and that I should look into that first before he proceeded which really impressed me. He was fair and reasonably priced and the most upfront and professional handyman I have ever worked with. I would highly reccommend, and intend to have him do other work as well.

Chad, the owner of Grunts for Hire, is friendly and honest. He offered suggestions that would fit in my budget. He explained what needed to be done every step of the way. He doesn't tack on money to building materials. Overall I am very pleased with ALL of the work Grunts for Hire has performed for me. I have had Grunts for Hire back to help with things around my home at least 10 times. I have recommended Grunts for Hire to several people. My neighbor was so impressed with Grunts for Hire that she has had them come back to her home for several jobs.
