We hadn't really planned to get new front windows on our house, but the nice salesman came by and gave us a good pitch so we decided to go ahead. Since we didn't comparison shop I can't say if we got "the best price", but the bid was affordable for us and we trusted that the quality would justify the cost for 10 windows. From our order placed in October we were told to expect arrival in February or March. One day in mid-February we got a phone call telling us that the windows would be installed the next day. WOW, not much time to move the furniture! Installation took about a day and a half, with a few days delay on final finishing due to back order of the dark red colored caulk that was needed. The workmen left a clean site both inside and out. KUDOS to Bill (head installer) who noticed a discrepancy in the color of the dark brown trim we had ordered when it came to matching our exiting trim. He showed us other samples and he was able to pick up the correct color cladding from his warehouse without any delay. The resulting color match was right on the mark. The interior finish we ordered is dark wood, to match our other woodwork. The surface of the window interior is actually a wood-grain vinyl coating, not real stained wood. It looks a little fake when viewed up close, but overall gives a pleasing appearance. The windows seem sturdy and well-made, with easy operation and mechanisms for dropping the window sections for easy cleaning. We are very happy with the results, both inside and out.
