Older home, 1970's construction. I had the front sided with vinyl due to deterioration and sun damage to cedar board and batten siding. The other 3 sides of the house have 15 year old horizontal cedar siding and needed repainting. Adam, one of the partners in TPC was a pleasure to deal with from estimate to completion. Prep work with power wash, scraping and caulking was done well. Paint chips were cleaned up. Painting (2 coats) was largely completed in 1 day with a crew of 5. Adam and another painter returned a few days later to complete 2nd coat on some of the trim. Drop cloths were utilized over the concrete drive and patio and there was no mess from splattered paint.Trim work and downspouts were painted in a different color. Paint colors for siding and trim required match to sided front of house and the Sherwin Williams match was spot on. Painting crew was neat and courteous. Adam took me on inspection and we found only a couple of minimal areas on the trim requiring touch up. Adam and his crew were very professional and courteous. My wife and I are very pleased with the job, which carries a 2 year warranty. Others have commented that it looks like a brand new house. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I dealt with Ben only and never met or talked with Adam his partner. TPC was my 7th bid for this job and when Ben asked why I had so many proposals I said I wanted the right man for the job and the other bids ranged from $5,500 to $14,000 . I read all the reviews and decided TPC was the right painter's for me, I wanted the 26 yrs. experience that they claim on their ad here on angie's list. I was specific in telling Ben that I did not want someone dropping off a inexperienced crew and leaving . Well that's exactly what he did . Ben power washed the house and never painted a stroke on the house ,WOW , when I asked him about this he said they all had at least 6mo. experience and he trained them. I could of saved 3k and still had a teenage crew out here. All in all they did a good job and worked hard ( 5 young men) and were polite, but I did have to take ben around the house and show him where they had missed spots (after 2 coats). When I met Ben for the proposal we discussed painting the trim in a different color then he hit me up for a extra $800 mid way through the job and said it was not included in the proposal, What? I was PO'd to say the least. All said his crew did a pretty good job but if your expecting 26 yrs. experience ,good luck. Also don't expect the paint chips from the power wash to be cleaned up.mine were not.

Ben came out and gave us an estimate for painting the exterior wood portion of our home; fascia, overhang, exterior service doors, garage doors, basement windows and three tall gable peaks with a stucco surface and board and batten planks. Two weeks before the painting was scheduled to start, Ben came out and power washed the surfaces. The actual painting was delayed about 2 weeks because of rain. Ben contacted us a number of times to explain the delay. It was very nice that we were updated on the schedule. The painting crew did an excellent job. They were very friendly and enjoyed their work. They asked us to check the job and to let them know if we found any problems so they could take care of it before they left. Ben came at the end of the job to check the workmanship. He told us to let him know if we found any problems and they would be back to correct them. The paint job looks great, we are very pleased with it, and would hire TPC again without reservation. The job took 1 and ¾ days to complete. Two coats of paint were applied.

The job went very well! Ben came to give me a quote, which was very reasonable, and the work was done by Ben, Adam and a third gentleman. They worked quickly and did a really nice job. Their work was neat and professional. I requested a last minute change, which was to take down the oak crown molding in the tray ceiling of the office, and Ben agreed to do so. They patched all of the nail holes from the crown molding, and it turned out wonderful. While I expected to pay for the additional time for this, Ben did not charge anything extra. It was great to work with these guys, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

They took care of everything for us. We had it done in stages. They just finished on Monday. Before that was six months ago. They were just fantastic. They did what they said they were going to do. We had a couple of problems and they came back the next day to resolve them. They were just excellent to work with. I would recommend them because of the job they had done and the price. I didn't have any issues since the service was provided.

Overall it is the best painting company we have ever used!. Adam was very prompt in calling us and completing our project. He was very professional, reliable and also did an excellent job painting. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will absolutely use him for future projects. He exceeded our expectations.

I had TPC power wash and stain our deck this past summer and they did a great job! At that time I wanted my bathroom also painted and Ben told me I would have to wait till the end of the summer because of all the exterior jobs they had. No problem on my end. Things changed in our household, a new job out of WI and I needed my whole interior painted getting my home ready for sale. I called Ben up and he promptly showed up and gave me a quote on the interior. I need a rush job and he fit me in immediately. I also added an additional room and that didn't bother him. He brought in his partner Adam and two other workers a couple of days ago, and the did a FANTASTIC JOB! VERY professional acting by all of them! They not only did a great job, but cleaned up and moved everything back. I couldn't have asked for a more professional crew! My only regret is that I am moving out of WI and I won't be able to use them again, but I highly recommend them. I really don't understand a recent review because they were on time and came to give me a quote immediately. Something must have happened in their case

I talked to Adam on Oct. 10th requesting a quote. He said he would be out on Oct. 14 or 15th. He never appeared. I have since called and emailed Adam and received no response. TPC painted our house in 2009 and is due to be done again next year. We are very disappointed and will not be using them.

We obtained very similar quotes from two high ranking companies and chose TPC based on responsiveness, thoroughness and helpfulness in decisions on the details of the job. A $300 deposit held our position in the scheduling queue. The job was delayed for several weeks by a long rainy streak, but Ben kept us fully informed on projected start dates. The job, when started, was completed within a few days due to provision of a crew of up to 5 including owners, Adam and Ben, who personally handled the parts of the job requiring the greatest precision. For example, the deck railings are stainless steel cables affixed to cedar posts with stainless anchor bolts and toggles. Adam and Ben stained around the 100 stainless steel fixtures with very small brushes to avoid discoloring them. I have not noticed any issues. Splattering on concrete around the house and garage was very minimal. The crew was experienced, each having been with TPC from 2 to 7 years. They were courteous, accommodating, prompt and clean. This was a very pleasant experience.

Ben surprised me when he came out to do the quote the same day I called him- and I was so pleased to hear that he would squeeze our job into his busy schedule. He made our house remodel complete, by helping us get this task done this year. His quote for the work, was more than fair and I am sure I couldn't find a more competitive price, as I had another quote for the job and it was a bit more. Ben and Adam were fantastic, and I was a treat to have the both owners working on my house- Our doors and garages look brand new! If I could give them a better grade than an A, I would give them an A++! Professional, friendly and great at their trade, I would certainly use then again. They arrived on time each day and were very clean on the job. I wish they weren't so busy this season, because I would certainly find other jobs at the house for them to paint! I'll schedule them early for next year.

TPC painted our house last summer (2012). Adam came out and did the estimation. I originally was only going to have the second floor trim, etc. painted, but the estimate was reasonable enough that I went with the whole house. A crew came and painted, and did a good job. Unfortunately, over the winter and spring of 2013, the paint in several places cracked and peeled. Adam came out, assessed the situation, figured out right away what happened, and he personally came and did the touch ups. At no cost by the way; it fell under their warranty. I would absolutely use TPC in the future, and I would (and do) recommend them to anyone. Thank you!

I saw this company working in our neighborhood on another home. They thoroughly scraped the wood siding, and the home looks great. I got a quote for our home from Adam or Ben last spring. I got two other quotes; one was quite high, and the other was lower but didn't include potential repairs to the wood. They referred me to Sherwin-Williams color consultation service, which was great. I'm thrilled with the new color choice and so are my neighbors. They spent a week this August prepping and painting our home. Workers were polite, respectful, hard workers. We are very happy with the results!

Ben and his guys are very professional. They did what they said when they said and how they said in a timely manner. The house is a tutor style and took a ton of caulk to seal up properly before paint could be applied. I believe they did this job even better than the builder that fabricated the house initially. The place looks great and I have no doubt the overall integrity of the building has improved. Thanks a lot guys for a clean, efficient, and cost effective job. Neil

Ben was the most responsive of the painters I called for a quote. He came to our house when it was convenient for us. The house had a lot of layers of old paint over cedar siding that were flaking. He explained exactly what he thought should be done and why. They power washed the house about 2 weeks before painting, recommended some of the cedar be replaced, and allowed me the time to get that done. Ben had a crew of 4 very hard working young men that worked about 13 hours the first day. They scraped and sanded the siding so that after painting it looked like it was new. They managed to get the whole house scraped, sanded, primed and painted in 2 1/2 days. The young men on the crew were friendly, respectful, and very hard working. Ben stopped by daily to check the work and make sure I was happy with the job. The Painting Company got the work done for under $4,000. The other quote I got was over $6,000. Ben is an honest guy who my wife and I enjoyed dealing with and I am completely satisfied with the work. Actually, they made it look better than I thought was possible. I am hard to please, but I think they did a great job, and I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. Excellent work, very good value, and nice people. They exceeded my expectations.

We are very pleased with the paint job provided by TPC. There had been many layers of paint from the previous owner of our home which made scraping a challenge but they worked incredibly hard and very fast. They also cleaned up very nicely at the end of every workday and were careful to step around plants etc. Because of the heavy layers of paint, they recommended a bonding solution, at no additional charge, to make the new paint job look better and last longer. The house looks great!

TPC did a great job overall. Ben came out and provided a very reasonable estimate and was very attentive to what we wanted. The weather did prevent the job from getting done right away, but as soon as they could the crew was out there and had the job completed in a day.

It was good. It was a small company. The owner actually came and did the work for me. They did it in the time line I needed. Their work was good.

My house looks brand new the guys did an excellent job! Ben was very particular on the paint job he saw flaws and came back to touch up areas I hardly notice. That is great dedication and service. The price was fair and reasonable. I would definitely hire them again.

Three men finished in one day. Two coats of paint applied. Clean up was excellent and they even vacuumed the floor where dressers were located to remove dust. Very pleased with overall service. They were called after providing quote and acceptance to find out when the job would be done. Because of their workload they responded ASAP.

The painting was done as quoted in the expected time frame. We were called and kept informed when they were arriving. They came ahead of time for color selection. Everyone was very courteous. Excellent job done -everything was neat and clean. I was especially concerned about not having any paint speckles from the porch on our brand new siding -it was fine. No need for concern. I also appreciated no paint on the shrubbery. I would definitely have The Painting Company again.

Response was excellent for estimate and work. They powerwashed areas to be painted to remove old paint, then primed and painted all exterior trim areas. Work was done quickly and to my schedule. Crew did forget two small areas, and owner of company responded immediately and painted the missed areas. Outstanding customer service and painting.

Ben was very responsive - immediately set up date/time to provide an estimate. He took his time and offered different options to fit my budget. He also pointed out boards that were damaged and recommended a carpenter who could coordinate the work with his crew, prior to and during the project. The TPC crew started the job by power washing the house on 23 July. Unfortunately, we were plagued by day after day of rain. As soon as the weather permitted, Ben's crew came in performed work. The entire project took about 4 weeks to complete. When the first coat of paint was applied, I determined that I did not like the color. Ben immediately met with me and we determined the color I was looking for. He then worked with the supplier to darken the paint that was already purchased so they would not have to purchase all new paint. They were able to use the paint as the undercoat, or first coat of paint. As a result, he was able to purchase just enough additional paint without stretching my budget. I was a bit demanding as the project progressed, but Ben was fantastic. He consistently went out of his way to ensure that I was absolutely happy with the project, without making me feel that I was being overly demanding. Ben and his crew did an excellent job and I will absolutely call TPC for the next job!

We were extremely pleased with the entire process, from the time Ben arrived to provide a same day estimate to completion of the job in a timely manner. I was very impressed with the attention to detail including the hand scraping of the old paint to the detailed painting of the entire exterior. The team was careful around our recently stained deck and all of the shrubs and flowers surrounding the house. I was very happy with the job and believe the cost was fair relative to the size of the job and the quality of the work. I will definitely use TPC in the future.
