carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreHe walks in with this handy dandy portable unit which looks pretty filthy. The vent cleaning is a joke.. he sticks a 20 year old brush at the end of a really long vacuum hose and pushes it in the vent and beats it around !! Each vent took about 5 minutes and I am pretty sure it did nothing. The "deep scrub" carpet cleaning .. he lightly mists the carpet with some solution.. and scrubs as if though the carpet feels pain.. At this point I am getting desperate and ask him if I could scrub myself.. I get a rude reply (aaahh.. the paper is signed). He then delicately uses the vacuum to extract all the "grime" in the carpet. "Steam cleaning" evidently means cold water sprayed over the carpet and sucked back.. There is no steam or even luke warm water.. Everything said and done.. if the carpets are clean I am happy. After he left I took my 3 year old Bissell and vacuumed... I got 6 filter fulls of dirt.. DO NOT hire these guys..buy a $150 vacuum instead and be HAPPY !!
Description of Work: They did the Whole House Special carpet clean with the Deep Scrub option for $79.95. Also cleaned the cold air return vents for $110 or so The guy walks in .. I am supposed to get the carpets cleaned for $7.95 per room and $74 for all the vents (as per the coupon). Since the prices are amazingly low I am expecting they will come up with a higher estimate somehow. So he does .. about $600 !! Cold Air return vents, main line (hot and cold air) each step is charged separately, furnace cleaning ... deep scrub carpets .. So we just bought the house and the owners had a dog.. I opt for the cold air vent cleaning and the "deep scrub" carpet clean. I sign the paper authorizing the work.
