Description of Work: Nu Floors refinished most of the floors in our home and installed a new floor in our kitchen and dining room.

Description of Work: We needed our family room hard wood floors done this summer in preparation for selling our house. The work needed to be fit in amongst another projects and yet complete by our listing date. We called Kenny during the very busy month of August.

Description of Work: I hired them to install new flooring in my home.

Description of Work: Sanded and refinished floors throughout our entire house (about 2000 square feet) as well as our staircase.

Description of Work: I contacted Kenny after reading prior reviews on Angie's List and also obtaining a recommendation from friends who had used him, all of which mentioned that NuFloor does an excellent job at hardwood floor refinishing. I had actually made initial contact with Kenny 4 years ago, and never went through with the job, partially due to my reluctance to go through with the difficulties associated with moving furniture, boarding the dog, etc, but also due to difficulty in actually obtaining a bid from Kenny. With this job, I will say that, again, it was like pulling teeth to get Kenny to actually send me the bid and schedule the job, but, once that was done, everything went so smoothly, and I was absolutely thrilled with the job. He noticed that there was a distorted area in the floor in our family room - we had the family room and kitchen floors refinished - where the boards had to be pulled up, the cement block redone, and the boards replaced. This was done a week prior to the actual refinishing, and Ken and his assistant showed up exactly as promised, and did an outstanding job, with the repair perfectly correcting the defect. They then came in the next week exactly when promised, kept me informed each day of the plans and progress - they started on Monday morning, and were done by I believe Wednesday afternoon. It was far less painful than I'd expected - they did their work such that we were able to walk on the floors each night - and really kept the dust to a minimum. We were able to move everything back in by Saturday morning. The work was generally done by a two man team. The floors look beautiful; Kenny is really a master. The cost was also far less than I'd expected. I would highly recommend Ken and NuFloor - you won't be sorry.

Description of Work: We had a laminated wood floor glued to concrete that was not adhering, and made a "popping" sound when stepped on. Ken was very thorough in describing how he would remedy the problem. It was a small job, and while he indicated he would call within a couple of days, those couple of days became a week. I called to remind him, he apologized, and came as scheduled. He accomplished the job in a very short time (like i said, it was a small job) but nonetheless, he not only fixed the areas we had indicated were making the "popping" sound, but also thoroughly searched the floor for other potential "popping" spots. He ended up drilling over 50 small holes in various boards and injecting an expoxy glue into the holes. A small job that a lot of installers wouldn't bother with, Ken agreed to do it even though is was below his minimum fee. Very friendly guy, job well done.

Description of Work: I needed a hardwood floor repaired and refinished on a very tight schedule. Ken came to look at the job with a very positive attitude, and assured me he and his crew could do the job on time, even though it was last-minute before the first of the month. He was right on - the crew came as promised, and did extensive repair work on an old and damaged maple floor. They re-used as much wood as possible, and also installed new wood as needed. There was a lot of detail work to be done in installing thresholds, levelers, and new quarter rounds. All this was done, along with sanding and refinishing the floors in three rooms and two hallways.

Description of Work: Refinished old beat up multiple tone oak hardwood floors in 4 rooms and one hall way. Removed kitchen floor ( multiple layers of flooring stacked up) and installed new oak hardwood floor.

Description of Work: We had a decorative wood inlay around our fireplace that was cracking and popping out of the floor from the humidity and expansion of the floor. Ken's crew came out and repaired the floor and got it looking very nice.

Description of Work: Hardwood floors installed in new kitchen remodel. Existing hardwoods sanded and stained. Transistion between old and new flooring toothed in. Stairs refinished.

Description of Work: Totally refinish 1350 square feet of maple floors.

Description of Work: Ken refinished my living room / dining room wood floor before the house went on the market.

Description of Work: Two phase hardwood floor refinishing to 1929 Bungalow Phase one: Remove carpet from one bedroom. Sand and finish maple floors in kitchen and three bedrooms as well as stair treads. Phase two: Sand and finish oak floors in dining, living, and sunrooms as well as install new oak base shoe molding.

Description of Work: Ken sanded and refinished two bedroom floors in my parents' house, which we were about to put up for sale last summer.
