New Berlin Heating & Air Conditioning

I said I would need the weekend to think about it. This morning around 9am, the salesperson just showed up at the door. He said he was here to talk about a new unit. I told him I hadn't yet made that decision. He said he had a 9am appointment for someone to come out. I told him I was busy and there was no appointment today. I thought it was pretty sleazy that they would show up without an appointment claiming that he had one. I had used them in the past, but after this experience I probably won't call them again. I probably will buy a new furnace but I'll go with another contractor.

Very well. The workers were prompt and courteous. They did a good job of explaining the new furnace.

Tim Schultz was very personable, and he knew his product well. He suggested an option I hadn't considered to save operating costs. He wasn't quite as detail-oriented as I was seeking, however. I had to repeat my request for some of the information I originally asked for. He was very prompt in his follow-up. I would have felt comfortable having New Berlin Heating do the work if I hadn't found another vendor I preferred.

Final price was good, sales rep was very helpful, installation was within a week and was done quickly and in a very professional manner. Price does not include the rebates and discounts we were eligible for.

Tim provided little to no information about the type, breadth, and scope of services New Berlin Heating could provide. I was not provided an official estimate. He did not offer any educational or helpful suggestions like the other estimators did. It seemed that he was not interested in my business. Overall I was disappointed.

Asked simple questions about things I might do get it working and save money. I had done all of them already. They clearly stated weekend rate. They came on time and fixed quickly so repair was limited expense. I have had them before for other things and am very satisfied.

They were in and out really fast and they seemed very helpful

TALKED WITH MANY PEOPLE ABOUT THE PROBLEM, AND NOBODY COULD TELL ME WHAT TO DO. THEY CAME OUT AND HAD A NUMBER OF IDEAS ABOUT POSSIBILITIES. THE GENTLEMAN WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. A GASKET HAD LEAKED AND THEN RESEALED ITSELF. JUST DID SOME MINOR CLEANING AND ONLY CHARGED US FOR THE SERVICE CALL. HELPFUL, PROMPT, AND HAD GOOD SUGGESTIONS.

Wonderful. The sales people came out to our home, inspected the current furnace, listened to our needs and gave us options of what would be the best type of furnace, etc., for our home. Upon installation of the furnace, the sales people were at our home to answer any questions. We will have them back when we are ready to purchase a new central air system.

Tim was my salesman and did not pressure me into making a decision, which I appreciated. New Berlin offered the best combination of price and quality for both furnaces. Once I received all the bids I called Tim and he came over late on a Friday to complete the papers. We scheduled the workmen to come in two weeks and they installed both furnaces in one day. The upstairs unit was without heat for about 5 hours, which is not bad. They cleaned up nicely and both units run great.

I am very impressed with Kelly (receptionist). She has been pleasant and knowledgeable each time I spoke with her. Frankly, she was the deciding factor in hiring this firm before I even spoke with Tim (salesman). When Tim came to my home, he gave me information on various heating and air conditioning components that he felt would be effective in my situation. His estimate was clearly stated and he did not pressure me into spending more than I could afford. Interior component installation was on time and professionally done. Shortly after the furnace was installed, I had a problem with a lack of heat. Kelly sent a repairman out promptly. Bill said he would order a replacement thermostat and recommended that I leave the fan on low instead of automatic. The thermostat was replaced today and I hope that resolves the problem.

Despite being the beginning of the cold weather, I was able to get a tune and clean appointment in a few days. Another highly rated place I called was booked for months. Greg arrived within the 2 hour time window for the appointment. I picked his brains during the maintenance, and he was nice and very knowledgeable. He suggested a combined furnace/AC cleaning in April/May in order to save on trip costs. Price was very reasonable. Other places were quoting $100/furnace, so $75 for 1, or $135 for 2 is a good deal.

THE PLUMBER WAS ON TIME, POLITE, AND INFORMATIVE.

ARRIVED WITHIN 2 HOUR TIMELY WINDOW. QUICKLY DETERMINED WHY NO HEAT. HAD PART ON TRUCK. COMPLETED TUNE UP. MIKE WAS FRIENDLY, ANSWERED QUESTIONS, AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING.

OVERALL A GOOD EXPERIENCE. EASY TO GET A QUOTE, ON TIME INSTALLERS, NEAT WORK. I GAVE THEM A C IN PROFESSIONALISM AS THE SALESMAN REALLY TALKED DOWN A COMPETITOR. I HAD MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT THAT. IN A SENSE I WAS GLAD TO GET THE INFO, BUT AS IT WAS A COMPETITOR IT WAS DIFFICULT TO BE SURE THAT THE INFO WAS ALL CORRECT.

WE DIDN'T GO TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ONLY GAVE US ONE OPTION. IT TURNED OUT TO BE RIGHT, BUT WE FELT MORE COMFORTABLE WITH OTHER COMPANIES BECAUSE THEY GAVE US MORE OPTIONS.

THE REPRESENTATIVE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WAS EFFICIENT AND THOROUGH. HE WAS NOT AS INFORMATIVE OR FRIENDLY AS SOME OF THE TECHNICIANS WE'VE HAD IN THE PAST, BUT THE WORK HE PERFORMED WAS FINE.

EXCELLENT! I'LL BE CALLING THEM AGAIN FOR ANY HEATING and A/C REPAIR ISSUES IN THE FUTURE. THEY ARE HELPFUL AND PROMPT. I'LL BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO EVERYONE I KNOW, WHO NEEDS A GOOD HEATING and A/C DEALER/SVC COMPANY.

VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FROM PERSON WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE AND WITH THREE DIFFERENT SERVICE PEOPLE. PARTS WERE AS QUOTED AND REPAIR CALLS WERE FAIRLY PRICED. VERY PLEASANT, CONSIDERATE AND INFORMED SERVICE MEN. ABOVE PRICE IS JUST FOR SERVICE AT HOME TO MAKE NEW PARTS OPERATIONAL.

AFTER AN UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER CONTRACTOR WHO WAS UNRESPONSIVE (SEE MY REPORT ON SEIDER HEATING and A/C), I CALLED NEW BERLIN HEATING and A/C AND WAS IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED DIRECTLY WITH THEIR ESTIMATOR, BRAD ROCKENFIELD, WHO ARRIVED WITHIN AN HOUR AND SPENT TWO HOURS DISCUSSING MY OPTIONS AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. I WAS VERY FAVORABLY IMPRESSED AND SIGNED ON THE SPOT. THE INSTALLATION WAS PERFORMED PROMPTLY AND VERY PROFESSIONALLY THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY. ALTHOUGH THERE WERE A COUPLE OF MINOR PROBLEMS, THEY WERE PROMPTLY DEALT WITH AND CORRECTED. OVERALL, I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS CONTRACTOR.

THE PERSON SHOWED UP 40 TO 50 MINUTES EARLY FOR THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. HE WAS UNAWARE OF THE REASON FOR THE REQUESTED VISIT. WHEN HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE REQUEST WAS FOR BASEBOARD HEATING, HE SAID THAT THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE THEY WORK WITH WOULD NEED TO LOOK AT THE BASEMENT INSTEAD. HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE THEM CONTACT ME. THEY DID NOT AFTER 2 DAYS. I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL.

EVERY PERSON WITH WHOM I SPOKE WAS COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE RECEPTIONIST QUICKLY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME AND ANSWERED A FEW QUESTIONS. THE GENTLEMAN WHO PROVIDED THE ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. THE SERVICE MAN WAS POLITE, WELL SPOKEN, PROMPT AND TIDY. HE EXPLAINED CLEARLY WHAT HE HAD DONE, WHAT MAINTENANCE I NEED TO DO IN THE FUTURE, AND WHY HE RECOMMENDED ADDITIONAL WORK. HE EXPLAINED THE BILL THOROUGHLY. A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB FROM START TO FINISH.

THEY INSTALLED THE TOP OF THE LINE CARRIER. THEY WERE GREAT.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT I USED THEM. OUTSTANDING AND I RECOMMEND WITHOUT ANY RESERVATION! THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY THE MORNING OF THE CALL, COMPLETED THE WORK QUICKLY. I LATER CHECKED THEIR PRICE WITH A FRIEND WHO KNOWS A BIT ABOUT HEATING AND AC AND HE SAID THAT THEY ARE VERY FAIR IN THEIR PRICING.
