After the work was completed, I asked them if we needed a new opener and instead of trying to sell me one, they were honest and said that we had a perfectly good opener. I was thoroughly impressed by their promptness and their work. I recommend them to anyone needing garage door work done.
Description of Work: After a spring snapped on our garage door, causing it to fall and become lodged on a slant, I called Joe Wilde on the recommendation from my parents. They came out on one of the hottest days of the summer and replaced not only the door, springs, and tracks, but also performed a test on our garage door opener to make sure that it was working properly.

+ -1 moreThey came out and did not promptly (in 1 day). The price was right. He cleaned up after himself. (11/3/06) The garage door opener would not close the garage door because there was a bolt that needed turning from summer setting to a winter setting. They came and showed us how to do it, and did not charge us for the service call.
Description of Work: He repaired our garage door. We had made an appointment for repair, but before they came out, we decided that we needed it replaced.

+ -1 moreWhile we appreciated the call from the Joe Wilde Co canceling their Friday appointment, we decided they really didn't want our business. They had ample opportunity to call us and change the appointment day and/or time during the week, rather than at the last minute.
Description of Work: We called to arrange a time for the repair of the garage doors(both were sticking) and were told they would be out on Friday. We were to call them around 9 AM to confirm the time later in the day. They called us in the AM Friday instead and told us they were unable to get to us that day. We set up a less convenient time with them for this week, and then decided to cancel with Joe Wilde Co. and find someone local. We called a garage door service in Cedarburg and received immediate assistance over the phone regarding our problem. They took time to give us several recommendations that allowed us to fix the doors ourselves.

Description of Work: My husband had worked for a whole day trying to replace a broken spring on our garage door, without success. We called the company and they came out the next day. They fixed the spring in less than an hour. They also noticed that the rollers were bent and straightened those as well. The work was done properly, and we have had no further difficulty with the door.

Their price was very reasonable compared to others we checked with. When we need our garage door replaced, we will definately contact Joe Wilde!

+ -1 moreI was pleased that the company was accurate as to when the workman would arrive. The workman was very pleasant & knew his stuff. I think the price was reasonable.
Description of Work: Garage door opener would not open door. Chain was draped along track. Called on Saturday. They said they had a good idea what the problem was & scheduled work for Monday. The workman arrived in the middle of the 2 hour window the company had given me. Their initial diagnosis of the problem was correct. There was a small problem during final adjustment of the opening/closing settings but that was easily solved.

Description of Work: As my husband was leaving for work, the overhead garage door grazed the top of his truck. The door would not close with the opener so my husband forced it to close by hand. We thought a spring was broken & called for service. It turned out to be just some adjustments with the door & opener. The tech also oiled it so it wouldn't squeak & screech when it opened & closed!!
