Response from INTEGRITY LANDSCAPE SERVICES, LLC
We had provided the member with a free specific, detailed proposal for their review. After they accepted our proposal, we began their project within 7 days. During and after the project, their were no requests for additional money or "up-charges" that was not originally specified in the original agreement. Within our agreement, the customer was to remove a pile of fill from the project area. Considering they failed to do so, we gave them 3 options (prior to the work commencement). #1. They can remove the fill, #2. we can perform their responsibility for $250, or #3. we offered for them to cancel the agreement and we would immediately return their down payment. In addition, a $300 discount was provided to the customer. After the majority of the work was completed, we received an email from the member stating, "Yes, things went well today, I am satisfied." Unfortunately, after the project was completed, the customer was asking for and expecting free work outside the scope of our agreement. As it is inappropriate for a contractor to ask for extra money when it is not due, it is equally inappropriate for a customer to expect additional work for free and to file a negative report on Angie's List 8 months later for the sole reason of being denied free work.
