Infintiy Exteriors responded quickly and Jake & Tami were very professional & friendly. We were impressed with them, and would have chosen them for our project. However, we decided to go with a different company due to Fall being their busy season and Infinity Exteriors had over 100 roofing jobs ahead of ours. We would recommend their company to anyone needing a new roof. Their prices seemed fair and we give them an excellent A rating on Angie's List.

The project started off well my estimator was on time, friendly and professional. However when the project started everything went sideways fast. I would either receive a start time on a day and no one showed up or called to tell me what's going on. this continued the entire project which was only to take 10 days to complete that became 7 weeks of no show and I would call to find out what's going on, they would tell me a different day the process repeat. This long time delay cost me my insurance on my house and I have been unable to get new insurance. To top it all off the gutters on the house are still not right.

The person who did the initial estimate was professional and informative. I had received bids from 3 other companies before I met with the Infinity rep. The estimate process for Infinity was more time consuming than the other companies because the infinity representative worked up the estimate on site instead of emailing it later. The quality of the products and the price was in line with the other estimates that I had received. I chose Infinity because the rep. told me about a recall on my failing shingles that none of the other reps had mentioned. The work went as the rep. said it would. A person came and measured my window in the next week. The roofers arrived about a month later. The dumpster and shingles were delivered the day before the workers arrived. The work crew were professional. They roof took two days to remove and replace. The work crew did a great job of cleaning up the driveway and yard. However, the work crew left on Thursday and the dumpster was not collected until the following Monday. I found that the home office is not open on evenings or weekends. Also, there were some nails and a roofing tool left in my driveway that were under the dumpster. The window crew arrived a week after the roofers. They were scheduled to arrived between 8 and 9, but call that morning to say that they would arrive between 10 and 10:30. They did a great job of installing the window. They did leave a pile of sawdust in my yard. The next day I notice that the siding on the dormer had separated in one place. I called Infinity and they said that someone would call to come and look at it. I received a call and a visit the next day. The person was able to fix the siding and took some time to look for nails in my driveway.

AWESOME is how it went. Infinity had to replace our roof as part of solving a leaking problem. You can read that review in the windows section. Infinity send 4 crews in emergency mode to do our roof before bad weather came in. They had around 30 people at our home and did the compete tear-off, repair a couple of bad spots and install new roof, step flashing, ice barrier etc. It was amazing that they did this on a 4000 square foot home in two days! Highly recommend this company!

We wanted to replace all the front windows in our house as one of them was leaking and we wanted them to all look consistent. We were referred to Infinity by a friend who had windows done and after looking up the Angie's List reviews and getting a few other estimates we decided to use Infinity. The sales process was laid back with no high pressure tactics which is refreshing. Mike Fabian came to our home, looked at what we wanted to do and guided us to the right product for our home and then helped us nail down the decorative details. We chose to go with Marvin Integrity windows with full frame removal and complete replacement. So that was the easy part... What happened next is why I would hire Infinity again in a second and recommend Infinity to anyone. Our install date came and it was going to take two and a half days. Four of the five windows were in and looking awesome! Then during the removal of the last window, the one that was leaking, they found that the wall, header and even the exterior OSB was rotted away. This is a load bearing, exterior wall in our living room facing the front of our house with brick exterior - read: not a minor thing. Within hours Infinity had carpenters on hand building a temporary wall to support the second story, an electrician to cut the electrical in the rotten wall and had the rotten portions removed. By the end of that day the wall was rebuilt from the inside out and the new window installed and waiting on drywall and trim work. The one issue we had was at this point a third party came to do the drywall and the finishing was really poor. Even here Infinity shines! I called and let them know I was not satisfied with the finishing and they didn't even blink an eye before sending someone to take a look at it with me and then had someone come and refinish it correctly. I know service providers put up with petty complaints all day long but the Infinity people expect that the work they do is right and they sure make sure it is. I wish the story ended there but it didn't. It turned out the roof put on several years before we bought the house was put on wrong and that the leaking was due to several issues with the roof. I am writing a separate review for the roof but the short story is that Infinity also did a complete tear off and replacement of our roof solving the problem completely. They did this on a 4000 square foot home in 2 days! That is not typical, they sent 4 crews as it was an emergency due to weather etc. but it was a sight to see around 30 people working on a single roof! We spent around $44,000 altogether (windows, wall repair and roof) and while we were disappointed that the project exploded with issues and added expense, Infinity was very responsive and took care of the issues as they came and walked us through the issues, what needed to be done, and most of all did the work professionally and right. I am sure we could have gone cheaper but we would have been in real trouble not having a company that could respond quickly with the depth that Infinity has. Infinity also worked directly with our insurance which streamlined that process as well. Infinity turned one of the worst experiences a homeowner could have a positive experience and left us and our home is a way better place.

The receptionist and estimator who took my call were both rude and short. They each had their list of questions to ask me, and were not interested in hearing what I was asking for. They will not send an estimator to your house for an estimate if you are not home; they expected me to take off of work just to get an estimate to repair a leaky chimney. I recommend not wasting your time with this company.

[Member Name Removed], I have gathered details from both people you spoke with yesterday afternoon. They both said that you refused to be home for the estimate or answer any questions about the leak and possible repair. I apologize if you were offended in any way by us trying to gather as much information as possible. We need to ask these very important questions to best solve your problem and give you the most accurate estimate possible. It is also imperative that the home owner be home so we can FULLY assess what will solve your leak. Again, as the owner I apologize you took offense to this procedure but through our years of excellent repair solving performance it truly is the only way to accurately solve leaks. Respectfully, MaryJean Sparks

We signed a contract on 8/26/2015, and the work was not finished until February of 2016. We were told it would be done by winter. We were blamed for a delay in the siding, saying that we did not select colors, even though we selected colors the exact same day the samples were given to us, on 9/10/2015. We have emails to prove it. Our upper tenant's bench was put to the curb without any discussion with them or us, and ultimately it was taken by someone who thought it was being discarded. Tenants were not paid for the bench for months. We were told that there was a possibility we would need a new railing on the upper porch. Added cost, but we were warned of it, no problem. We were NOT told that our 100+ chimney was in disrepair, and would need to be rebuilt/replaced. They tried to tell us they "knew a guy", but we only hire licensed, insured, bonded. We did some investigating and talked to 3 masons, ALL OF WHOM ADVISED US NOT TO DO what Infinity was recommending, because the chimney (long story) should only be rebuilt in warmer temperatures. This resulted in a weeks long delay that was not explained to us, in fact, the chimney is still not rebuilt and there are tarps on the roof, resulting in our insurance company threatening to drop us. HAD WE BEEN TOLD BY Infinity that the chimney was in disrepair, it could have been rebuilt while we were waiting for them to get the project started. You would think a roofing company would look at that in advance?! We were told that the new gutters could be angled so that drainage from the house was sent to the street, like we wanted. OH, NO! When the gutter installers came they quickly pointed out that this would not be possible so we had to scramble to go over and reevaluate. Communication was a complete disaster, throughout the project. It usually took over a week for Sam, our project manager, to respond, if even at all. Again, we have proof. Did he call us, then? No, we had to call or email again to get a response. Our duplex is in Wauwatosa, where street parking permits are not available, not possible. In spite of this, a dumpster was left in the driveway, blocking tenants from using the driveway and parking in their garage or assigned spots. When they used up the grace period days (less than 7) that Wauwatosa allows, tickets started to pile up. Infinity refused to pay them, didn't finish the job for 3+ weeks, and made no apology. Sam told us he would "look into it' and again, a situation that started in late November (we emailed asking Sam when the dumpster would be removed) was not resolved in February. Sam said the tenant should have gotten a permit to park on the street (why is that her cost and responsibility?) and that he KNOWS about the rules for parking in "Milwaukee". Except, Sam, we are not in Milwaukee, we are in Wauwatosa and you have proven you don't know what you are doing or what you are talking about. We TOLD SAM, the rules in Wauwatosa are different for overnight parking, and he still ultimately refused to pay for the tenant's parking tickets. On 12/4 we got a call from Jessica at Infinity exteriors asking "how we liked our new siding." Except THE JOB WAS NOT DONE!!!!!! In 15 years of being a landlord, they are the worst contractors we have EVER dealt with. No concessions whatsoever for additional frustrations that we have documented in emails. We secured financing for the job, and because the job took SO LONG, the financing company threatened to pull the financing if we did not use it- except that we were told we did not have to pay until the job was done, (90+ days in!!) Another broken promise. This was a big job, $41,000- but we were treated very poorly, as were our tenants. Time and again it was clear they had screwed up big time and blamed us or whoever else they could, but never took responsibility or remedied the situation. It will be interesting to see how the product stands up over time. They were not the cheapest bid, either! We paid over $10,000 more than the cheapest bid, and got less than cheap service. [Member Name Removed] Not only is your review completely inaccurate but some of it is completely fabricated! I will do my best to respond online with your review: Upon your signing your contract on August 25, 2015 you were well aware that our start date would be end of October early November ( 8-10 weeks). You were also made aware that we are dependent on weather and other projects. We consistently emailed and called before the start of the job. Your roof started 6 weeks after you signed(when you were told it would start) and finished within a week. There was a bench that was moved to the curb by our staff to avoid damage, and I personally reached out to your tenant and she did not respond to me. Also, it clearly states in the "project setup email" you received 3 times, that all landscape and patio furniture need to be moved from the perimeter of the property, and that Infinity will not be responsible for items not moved. As the landlord it technically would have been your responsibility to relay that information to your tenants. However, because we are a good company who values customer service we reimbursed your tenant the $100.00 for the bench after they finally got back to us. You were notified of the chimney's state of disrepair as soon as it was discovered, when the roof was being done. You were contacted by your estimator the same day, with a quote for rebuilding the chimney. This was BEFORE WINTER AND THE WEATHER WAS NOT TOO COLD TO complete a chimney rebuild(original price given on 10/26/15). The homeowner decided it was not an investment they wanted to make at that time. The estimator explained to [Member Name Removed] during the estimate that because of the accessibility to the roof during the estimate we could not examine the state of the current chimney. YOU WERE TOLD, THE DAY IT WAS DISCOVERED. You also were aware that your estimator did not look at it at the time of the estimate! Communication was anything but a disaster, I have reviewed all call logs and emails and there was no time that you went without a response for longer 48 hours! I HAVE ALL CALL LOGS AND EMAILS SHOWING THIS! (the only exception was in regards to the parking tickets, not our responsibility in the first place) The gutters could not be pitched the way you had hoped because of the condition of the wood on the front porch. This is not something that could have been determined beforehand. The parking ticket subject is where you are completely INACCURATE! You are the owner of the building and should know that in Wauwatosa they absolutely do allow street parking when a construction dumpster is using the driveway. In addition to allowing the temporary street parking, Wauwatosa will also not "count'' those days toward the normal permit limit! This is what was explained to you in an email on 12/1/16 the same day it was brought to our attention. Your dumpster was needed to complete the job and your tenant had the ability to call in their car with no penalty. However, when we were made aware of it they claimed to have accumulated $400 worth of tickets. As the homeowner you were aware that the dumpster was going to be in the driveway and also responsible for letting your tenants know this. AGAIN BECAUSE WE ARE A GOOD COMPANY WHO VALUES CUSTOMER SERVICE, WE REIMBURSED YOUR TENANT FOR HALF OF THEIR TICKETS! Not only was this not something we had to do but something we thought would show you we do care about you as a customer and in hopes to ease your burden of "dealing with them yourself"(Not to mention we did find that your tenant was including some tickets acquired in July in their total!). Instead of appreciation, I get a message from your tenant with a forwarded message from you bashing Infinity saying " it is our responsibility" . Sorry but you are WRONG. It, in no way is Infinity's responsibility. On 12/4 you got a call from Jessica to see how you liked the new siding because the siding portion of the project WAS DONE! I not only am the owner of Infinity but also a landlord, and the level of blame you threw on us as the contractor was unbelievable to me. I could not even imagine doing that to someone working on one of my properties! As for concessions; your main complaint was about the tenant reimbursement, which we did. You were also not charged a full $400.00 on the original contract because of a simple billing error and you refused to pay. So in total concessions made on your behalf are $658.00, and dealing with the tenant/ Wauwatosa parking situation instead of simply refusing to do so. We all are aware that the job took a while but as you mentioned it was winter and the only incomplete portion when you were asked to fulfill your financing was the gutter on your rotten porch ($600 out of the$38,000). If you would like to list or mention any other "broken promises" or the instances that we "screwed up big time" that would be helpful. Infinity took responsibility for things we did not have to! The work done on your property is fully warranted both by Infinity and the Manufacturers of the products installed, exactly as promised. INFINITY TRULY APPRECIATES YOUR BUSINESS AND WE HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR END RESULT. Sincerely, MaryJean Sparks- Owner

It was a great experience from beginning to end. Mike, Infinity's salesman did an excellent job responding to our request for a quote for the job and even worked with the window manufacturer to come up with a semi-custom grid solution for the window(s). The date he quoted for completion was relatively close to what ended being the actual install date. The fulfillment member in the office of Infinity (Lenora) was very communicative and worked with our limited availability to arrange a time for the install. The team doing the installation were prompt, courteous and very efficient. There were some decisions that we needed to make about the sill that I had no idea about and the installer explained the options so I understood them. The window went in with care and efficiency. The associated wood trim matched perfectly because we had provided our stain earlier in the process (it had been stained at Infinity's shop when it came in from the manufacturer). A day or so later, we noticed an imperfection in the glass and notified Lenora at Infinity right away. She expedited a replacement window and two weeks later the new window panel was installed by the same team that did the initial install. I have to say that this was one of the best construction projects I have encountered and recommend Infinity without hesitation.

I got 4 quotes for my roof replacement job. price and details of the work seemed best with infinity. roofers came with 1 day's notice and complete replacement took 2 1/2 days. roofers were very professional and cleaned up better than expected. dealings with office staff have been excellent. I was disappointed with follow-up to me report of problems with workmanship. however once I spoke with the owner things moved along quickly. the follow-up repair work took less than 2 hours, so I guess it can be inferred there wasn't too much to repair. it should not have taken more than 3 weeks to get the guy on site for the repair. the wife is happy with the look of the roof and that makes for happiness and harmony in the house.

We met with several contractors prior to selecting Infinity Exteriors. I was sold on the value they were providing, the fact thet their best installer (Ian) would be on site every day, their scheduling and the project management was second to none and the pricing was middle of the four contractors we spoke with. Based on reviews and recommendations I thought they would perform well. We signed the contract 04-28-2015 and made our down payment, now committed. On 05-29-2015 I get an email notifying me that the project manager came out to verify my window measurements (a month after down payment) notifying me they miscounted my window openings. Of course it was not that they counted too many and I would get a rebate but they were short on their count and requested another $1600 for the additional window. Was it a way to show me a quote for less than their competitors, maybe. So now my radar is now up, they have used their mulligan. Mid July, I contact Infinity (yes 10 weeks after down payment) curious to know if my sales person has taken my down payment to live his days in Mexico as I have heard nothing. To Sam's (sales person) credit I finally get a call form scheduling explaining that they had an issue at the window manufacturer, they are backlogged. That means one of two things. Either they are now rushing to get all window orders out or their quality control is so stringent that nothing get loaded on a truck with out the proper quality checks (generally it is not the latter). The wheels are now turning, wait... Two weeks later (12 weeks after contract) the crew arrives and starts stripping siding, awesome, I may get to use my new windows this summer! Remember I am now paying attention, the start installing an underlayment wrap for the new siding on my house. It looks like they are using scraps taped together, I mention this and ask if this is also a weather barrier, the answer from Infinity is yes but they keep installing in the same haphazard fashion. During this conversation I mention that my chimney is left unprotected (no wrap, no siding) for nearly two weeks during several summer storms, a few days later it is corrected. Nearing the end of the project (the last day or two) I notify Infinity's Lead project supervisor (Ian) that an exhaust vent has been covered with siding, his reaction was of disbelief, he asked whether I installed it after they began the project. That same day I had a discussion with Ian about a part of the project they kind of ignored. I had to explain to them how to do it. Ian gets the project manager (Mike) on site to verify what I said should be done, could be done. During my discussion with Ian he said "don't take this the wrong way but, your house is not built very well", the studs are not 16" on center and this was a difficult project and some other stuff but I tuned him out. The project sort of ended at the end of August (Yes 16 weeks after down payment).we get a final invoice but the project is not done. We are still waiting for a chimney cap. We are also waiting for some hardware for one of the windows. The siding and trim look great, the windows are suitable but today (10-19-2015) we have one window that is splitting and we are still waiting for that hardware for the one window. As a side note: During the initial sale of the project my front screen door was sticking, Sam said they would take care of it. I know it was verbal but...you get the point.

Response from Infinity Exteriors LLC
Hello [Member Name Removed], I am sorry you are so disappointed in your experience with Infinity. It is not the norm that Infinity is unable to deliver on ALL that is explained with your Project Coordinator in the beginning. I would like to respond to your review in the same Time sequence as your review because there are quite a few differences in your account compared to our records. I show you signed your contract on April 28, 2015. We show your down payment posted on May 4, 2015. On May 11, 2015 you received a "project set up email" from our office that explains that we have processed your paperwork, and goes through in detail what to expect and how to prepare for the upcoming project. On May 13 we left a voice mail to schedule the final window measure. After your response it was set up for Monday May 18, 2015 After the final measure.. Our ordering department realized that there was a discrepancy in the number of windows on the final measure sheet compared to your original quote. When we contacted you to let you know that there was an extra windows not accounted for you as expected were not happy, but understood. Even sent the following: "I understand mistakes happen. Pricing was similar between you and Watry but you pledged better value and presented to me a smooth project. My decision came down to your value proposition vs. Watry. If someone had said to me that I would need to pay an additional $1600.00 for that value on top of the initial quote I would need to know what the value is. Missing the window count and hardware choice before the installation portion of the project starts leads me to question your value proposition. Mulligan's are not indefinite. I will pick up the tab on the additional window but in return I ask that management of the project gets tightened up. " Your sales rep Sam, then dropped off a gift card and cheese board as a token of our sincere apology. A change order dated June 5th was sent via email by Sam your sales rep. He also placed a follow up call to ask if you received it and asked for you to send it back signed. We NEVER received the authorized change order but ordered the additional windows anyway. Not only did we not delay ordering the "extra" windows, but Sam and I had a conversation to not push or ask for the change order from you, in order to not upset you. That change order of $1600.00 was never added to your total invoice nor was the subject even pushed because of the mistake on our end! So, to answer your question "Was it a way to show me a quote for less than their competitors" NO! We didn't even charge you for the mistake and ate that entire cost! The windows were ordered and an expectation date of July 2nd was given to us by the manufacturer. That is 10 weeks from your signature date, true. However, with window projects the wait time starts AFTER the final measure is made. The final measure date was May 18th. That would put expected delivery at 6 weeks, that is including any delays because of the miss-count on the contracted amount of windows. On June 15th we received a phone call from the manufacturer that they had a quality control problem with the laminate that goes on the inside of the window and our new expectation date was July 20th. While I understand, this is a frustrating situation but we do not have any control over the Manufactures supplies or procedures and a July 20th expectation date would be 9 weeks from measure. On July 10, 2015 Leona called to update about setting up for the last week in July. Scheduled install for the 27th, contact again on the 24th to confirm install. On Aug 03, 2015 (the following week) your siding project began. The siding install lasted for 3 weeks, concluding on Friday August 21, 2015. We give dates on our contract and estimates as dates we are hoping to start by, pending weather and other jobs. To mention how many weeks after your signature your siding job concluded is not really reliant. We produced your window and siding project in four weeks. Granted we had a couple of small punch list items to finish after, (screens to be put on after siding conclusion and one handle) 99.9 % of the job was completed. Your follow up call with Jessica was placed on August 24, at 3:27pm; in it, it explains your questions about the screens not being put on, and asked when the chimney cap was going to be done. Jessica, then said "Emily, will call when the chimney cap arrives so that we can schedule install", she then contacted the window department and made a service ticket made for the screens. Leona called the next day (8/25/15) to schedule the screen service with you. JR then was scheduled to take care of the screens on Tuesday September 8th. On Sept 25 we received a message, from our after hours answering service, from your wife about missing a handle. Leona contacted the manufacturer immediately and ordered a new one. Leona, unfortunately did not contact you about the handle. For this I am very sorry. On Sunday, October 18th at 12:53pm your wife left another message with the answering service wondering about the handle and saying there was a window starting to split. On Monday, October 19th at 9:40am Leona left you a voice mail and emailed about setting up a time to install the handle and get more information about the splitting. also on Monday Oct 19th; you wrote your Angie's List review... In your response to Leona, on Tue, Oct 20,2015, you wrote that you had time the following week for the handles, and that we could have the service tech look at the splitting when he is out to install the handle. Instead of waiting until the following week to even look at the splitting we sent JR over to the house on the 22nd to expedite a solution instead of waiting, he also installed the missing handle on that day. This sash was ordered and we are waiting for its delivery. --- I can understand your general frustration about the miscounted windows, and the manufacturer issues (laminate delay, handle, and splitting). The other legitimate problem was the communication between the time between when the handle was ordered and installed, and for that we are truly sorry. Infinity has tried our best to rectify every problem that has arose throughout your project. I have your file on my desk and will stay on top of the sash replacement to make sure that is handled in a timely manner. I hope after you are able to read my response you feel that we as a company have done everything in our power to solve any problem that arose. Infinity at all times has all of the best intentions for you as our customer and your project you have entrusted us with. Infinity is a honest, hard working, family owned, business that endlessly tries to keep customers happy and referring us to their family, friends, and co-workers. We are sincerely sorry we have let you down. I assure you it is not being taken lightly. Please, let me know if there is anything at all you feel I as the owner could had done differently. gutter repair, roofing, skylights, replacement windows

We are satisfied with the work Infinity Exteriors provided, with one major caveat: due to extremely poor communication, we had two skylights installed about 20 feet away from where we originally wanted them. When we found out the skylights were installed in the wrong place, the sales rep we dealt with, Nick, informed me that they would take the windows out, patch the holes and re-install them in the correct spot. That wasn't an acceptable solution for us - the patched roof spots would be visibly different than the rest of the roof. Nick's first response was to tell me that he didn't want to spend money on two additional skylights, and that our roof was in terrible condition - this was directly contradicted by the workman on site, who said our roof was in good condition. I was put in touch with Nick's boss, who very quickly remedied the situation, and offered us two extra skylights at no charge. That was a fantastic resolution, and we're very happy with the quality of the work. If I were to offer feedback on how to make the experience better, I would suggest less of a hard sell when providing an initial estimate. We were pressured into signing a contract after the first time we met Nick - he offered to provide the gutter repair for free, but only if we signed a contract with him on the very day he came out to create an estimate, no time to discuss or get other quotes (we declined). My other piece of feedback would be to provide better communication between the various departments. We had several different scheduling calls, and each person I talked to was different - some told me the three different jobs we contracted with them to do would happen at three different times, others told me they would happen all at once. There was no call prior to the day they actually came out to do the work - and I had to remind them that they agreed to repair our gutters. Receiving a call from a worker, while you're not on site at the home, asking where you want these skylights to be installed is not ideal, to put it very mildly. If I had advance notice on when installation was happening, I would have been on site with them, and much of what made the experience not so great could have been avoided. I probably wouldn't use Infinity again, due to the unpleasant interaction with the sales rep, but I can say we are confident that the work done was quality work, and we were very happy with our interaction with the manager who resolved the skylight mistake.
Description of Work: The contract included replacement of 5 windows, gutter repair at two points on the home's exterior, and installation of two skylights. Two additional skylights were installed due to installation error on the first two.

Hello [member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience with Infinity and I am very happy you are satisfied with the end product. Infinity offers some of the best windows in the business so rest assured you bought GREAT windows! The Work Order and drawing that the installation team used to locate the position of the skylights was not accurate. Our estimator inadvertently drew the skylights in the wrong location and the installation team followed the drawing. I do apologize for this mistake and we have changed the internal protocol to assure this does not happen again. I can say that there are probably very few companies that would have installed two brand new skylights at no additional cost rather than relocating the originals. I am not very happy to hear you felt pressured on the window consult. Infinity sells thousands of projects every year and this is not a comment I hear often. I do train our sales staff intensely on product knowledge and installation procedures so sometimes they might be a little overzealous. I will have a discussion with your estimator on this. Thank you again and should you need anything please feel free to contact me!

Both projects went great. We have a roof with a number of angles and a fairly steep pitch that I would not feel confident having a lesser skilled company working on. But the crew working on the roof was superb. The crew seemed well trained, had well defined roles, and were personable. They appear to enjoy working with each other and there was no language that a neighbor or a neighborhood child should not hear. Just conversation, sounds of work being done and some good-natured ribbing. The work was done carefully, clean up was daily, and the crew supervisor, Mike, came out for a final inspection and walk around the roof (with me on the ground) and made sure I was happy with the job. He straightened cuts as requested and answered questions. Overall a very positive experience that solved persistent water problems we had struggled with for years. Neighbors still come by to ask us about the roof and admire the work as the homes age and they are faced with replacement. The gutter crew was a subcontractor. Again the work was done professionally and included some negotiation with another contractor who damaged some of the gutter doing siding work. Infinity handled all the negotiation and kept us out of it. Which we appreciated. We have had two call backs on the gutter work. One to complete a gutter run that went under a built-in deck bench and another this year to again correct the same 12 inch section. No questions asked, Infinity sent someone out regardless of the fact three years have passed. This, however, is when we learned they subcontract the gutter work. Second service call was by a provider who pointed out that the first provider installed the run backwards and created a "pinch" in the downspout that slowed water flow and backed up with debris. All better now.
Description of Work: This was a warranty call on a project originally done in 2012. We chose Infinity from three quotes to replace our shake roof with high quality composition, and upgrade our gutter system. We were the first home to switch to a 50 year three dimensional composition shingle under changes in our neighborhood covenants. Josh worked with our Homeowners Association over two years to answer questions and provided information to support the revision of the covenants.

The roofers were here for a few days and didn't make as much of a mess as you would think. We did find nails (even rolls of nails) for a long time afterwards, but the crew was hardworking and the result was great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Infinity if you're looking to have your roof redone.
Description of Work: We had the roof to our house, garage, and garden shed replaced (tear-off). We got the most expensive package with the longest warranty, best shingles, ridge vents, and the annual inspection. We also got some new gutters. There were still nails everywhere (on the road and the driveway), but overall the work was excellent and the crew chief was wonderful.
POOR WORKMANSHIP, POOR CLEANUP, CONTINUAL PROBLEMS. NAILS, SCREWS AND MORE: First work was performed fall of 2013. After original roof job, Infinity returned at least three separate times (without objecting) at owner's request to "drag" the yard for nails and screws (they used their magnetic strip on wheels). After Infinity's repeated efforts, owner EASILY found approximately (300) nails, screws, and pieces of aluminum in driveway, gardens, lawn, on deck, etc. On mutiple occasions owner found screws and nails (sometimes groups of 3-6 items) on driveway (after rework, for example) within a four square foot area. These were obvious and easily visible, and likely would have caused problems with owner's car tires had owner not cleaned up. SKYLIGHT: Prior to starting the roof job, owner informed Infinity that the skylight size was no longer available (per another local roofer's information) and that only the glass should be replaced (reusing the frame) to prevent having to rebuild the inside vertical "light shute" (to prevent extra drywall and painting work, etc.). However, Infinity indicated the skylight was available. When teh skylight arrived Infinity's crew found it to be the wrong size. This was discovered by the crew while attempting the installation on the roof after the original skylight had been removed. Later, the owners were told by Infinity that the skylight of the original size was not available. After AT LEAST FOUR skylight installations (and removals) a raised support (6" tall frame) had to be built by Infinity to accomodate a replacement skylight of a new size. This also required drywall work and repainting inside the home at the skylight's vertical "light shute". The 6" tall raised frame support allowed moisture to collect on the inside drywall causing discoloration (the raised frame is insulated, but stands above the level of the roof). After nearly two years from initial installation, Infinity and owner are still following this moisture issue. This will need further drywall and painting rework in the future, which Infinity has promised to take care of at N/C. FLASHING REWORK: Two areas of flashing had to be redone after initial installation - one area around chimney, and one area against a vertical wall of the house. The chimney area flashing issue was discovered by Infinity and seems to have been done properly. However, the flashing repair rework at the outside vertical wall June 11, 2015 was necessary to correct a suspect water leak into the home. This rework was to remove shingles, replace the (26) year old flashing which was not replaced during the roof job (but should have been), reinstall new shingles in two 4' x 20' peak areas, and correct a third flashing issue at the end of a gutter. This latest rework was an attempt to correct suspected water intrusion into the home which is suspected to have caused the horendous mold smell that began almost immediately after a heavy north wind and rain. Infinity suspected that rain along the wall (old flashing) and / or gutter water entered the home. An independant contractor was called by the owner to inspect the inside of the home where the owners noticed new discoloration on a ceiling below the flashing area. The discoloration occurred just after the north rain occurred and coincided with the time the heavy mold smell occurred. The contractor's moisture meter indicated moisture on a ceiling at 3-5 feet in from the outside walls. Since the damage appeared to inside walls and ceilings, the owners decided to hope the smell would subside over time rather than asking Infinity to start ripping drywall out in the family room. After two full months, the smell has begun to disappear. When this same (flashing) repair was first starting, the owner happened to notice movement and noise on the garage roof. The owner informed the repair crew they were removing shingles in the wrong area (where there was no reported problem). They appologized, ask teh owner what work was to be done, contacted their office, put the garage's shingles back in place, and moved to the reported problem area. Note that the problem area was CLEARLY identified to the Infinity representative who performed the inspection. He even took pictures of the area. After this job was finished, the owner EASILY found (15) nails left on roof where the crew was working, one nail sticking up 1/2", and numerous exposed nail heads. GUTTERS / DOWNSPOUTS: After leaving rework to two areas was necessary. An apporximately 4" x 5" gap in aluminum trim at the end of one gutter had to be closed up. Also, a hanger bracket for a former downspout was left hanging on the house siding. TO DATE: To this day there are still exposed nail heads on some shingles (although Infinity has inspeced the entire roof more than once, even sending their "best inspector"), nails are still being found on the roof, patio/deck, in gutters, etc., the skylight drywall is still being evaluated to determine how it will fares over this coming winter. WARRANTY: Infinity's owner promotes his company as the indisputable "#1 roofer", claiming "meticulous" workmanship, and stating "you pay NOTHING until a year after you are completely satisfied". Another ad states, "Nine out of ten installed roofs cannot pass a simple manufacturer's warranty inspection, and if the roof doesn't pass the manufacturer's warranty inspection there is no warranty". Our roof must be the tenth roof. To our knowledge the manufacturer has never set foot on our property, since Infinity (we're told) is trusted by the manufacturer to perform their own inspections. This owner has found it imperative to spend considerable time on the roof to personally inspect Infinity's work. OVERALL: Infinity has never complained about coming out and ATTEMPTING to fix a problem. Overall, their roofers and gutter installers are polite and close to "on time". However, their workmanship is not even close to what this homeowner expects, and not at all what Josh Sparks insists it is in his radio ads. We would have expected better from almost any other well known roofing company, and am convinced Infinity is grossly over-rated. We have been EXTREMELY PATIENT AND COOPERATIVE with Infinity. We would estimate there have been a total of (15-20) visits by Infinity to this home over almost two years by at least ten different employees. I paid to join Angie's List to write this review. We have the (50) warranty. That means 1.7 years down and 48.3 years to go!
Description of Work: Remove single layer of shingles, all gutters/downspouts, one skylight. Replace same.

Response from Infinity Exteriors LLC
August 3,2015 John, below is a detailed response for each of your Sections of concern. Overall we as a company are truly sorry that there were a few minor issues in the original installation but I hope in reading our response and speaking with us dozens of times you know that we have been more than willing to work with you to make things right. NAILS, SCREWS AND MORE: We run nail magnets at the conclusion of every job, I am sorry we were unable to collect all of them. I did speak with Jake and Peter who did the walk through and neither of them mentioned nails/screws or a big mess in their notes. We do for-warn customers that roofing jobs do have millions of nails and that a few may be found following the job completion. We are always willing to come back out to run the magnet more than once. SKYLIGHT: Prior to the start of the project, when your sales representative talked to you about replacing the skylight there was no mention to him about that size not being available. We did in fact get TWO INCORRECT skylights (NOT 4) because of a field miss-measure the first time and a miss-order the second time. Upon the right skylight being installed, we did explain that all skylights are raised off the roof deck and are not insulated on the rise. The skylight replacement did require some additional drywall/paint work that Infinity did at NO CHARGE for because of the issues. As discussed and agreed to with Mike Sparks the moisture is not condensation from the skylight. At your request we are "waiting / watching" that moisture and as you mentioned Infinity will of course repaint any damaged drywall at NO CHARGE. FLASHING REWORK: The chimney flashing was replaced properly. The step flashing was the second flashing area of concern. Aaron and Cory were the workers at the home for the repair. The repair foreman, staged the ladder at the garage and returned to the truck for the remainder of tools/materials needed. The laborer went up the ladder thinking that was the area the work was to be done. The foreman had a detailed work order with pictures and would have directed Cory to the correct work area but you came out before Aaron was out of the truck with the tools/materials ( a three to five minute time period) We would have NOT preformed work on the wrong area of your home it was a simple mistake by an employee who did not wait for proper instruction, but would have been corrected in minutes by the foreman. You just happened to come outside in that three to five minute time frame. GUTTERS / DOWNSPOUTS: We replaced an at least 10ft section of facia metal to cover the gap that was visible after the new gutters were installed. Not included in pricing but because of the issues agian was done at NO CHARGE. WARRANTY: When you said, " Infinity's owner promotes his company as the indisputable "#1 roofer", claiming "meticulous" workmanship, and stating "you pay NOTHING until a year after you are completely satisfied". Another ad states, "Nine out of ten installed roofs cannot pass a simple manufacturer's warranty inspection, and if the roof doesn't pass the manufacturer's warranty inspection there is no warranty". -- you were completely correct. I see in your file you did take advantage of our financing program which does allow for you not to pay until a year after the job completion. You also have a fully covered and Warranted roof system by the Manufacturer! So I am unclear what part of that you were implying is not true? If you would like to speak to a representative from the Manufacturer I would be happy to put you in contact with them. OVERALL: Infinity not only has not complained about coming out but has been timely and on top of every issue as it has been brought to our attention. We also have not ATTEMPTED but SUCCESSFULLY FIXED all outstanding issues and as previously mentioned at your request are waiting on the skylight discoloration until you let us know you want the drywall repaired/painted. You also mention us having a total of 15-20 visits which is a bit of an exaggeration. I am very happy to hear that all of our employees have been polite and on time. We do agree there were multiple small things that could have gone smoother. Infinity has given you and registered a FULL LIFETIME WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY, AND MANUFACTURER WARRANTY on all of your work. We have done absolutely everything in our power to fix any issues as they arose. I am very sorry that you felt the need to publicly post about your experience in a manner that would make it seem like we did not appropriately respond to any or all of your concerns as they arose. Infinity is the highest rated Roofing and exterior contractor in the area for good reason and we are in NO WAY OVER-RATED. If you do feel we can do anything more now please let us know, as we have shown, we are more than willing to come out! Kindest Regards, MaryJean Sparks Owner

The crew cleaned up amazingly, I only found two nails. Only issue I had was that they didn't pull a permit, so I had to deal with two letters and a call from the village inspectors. But, they corrected that issue in a timely manner. As for price they were about 25% higher than competing quotes. Chose them based on the Angie's list and referrals.

It went horribly. They expected me to know exactly what I wanted done. I don't know what exactly has to be done; that is why I am on Angie's List? They informed me that they don't repair gutters, only replace. I agreed that I'd want a quote for having the gutters replaced. She kept repeating it for some reason. She told me they don't inspect roofs for free. It was obvious from the tone; this is another business that doesn't want to come into Milwaukee. Because I don't live in the suburbs and I'm not buying an all new roof; I'm not worth even being courteous to. I hung up the the woman. I'm not sure why they called me back; they obviously hadn't read my original message and had no intent of serving me. It would have been more courteous to simply say so up front.

Hello, I truly apologize for any miscommunication with our office staff! We CARE about every potential customer regardless of the size or location of their job! Your email submission from the website was received at 9:45pm on July 16, 2015. Our policy is to call people back instead of email because we feel it is more personal; unless of course it is specifically noted you would like an email. Tami, called about your inquiry on July 17, 2015 at 8:41am. Again, I do apologize if you felt that she was asking too many questions about what work you needed done. We do try to gather as much information as we can so that we can be more accurate in sending the correct estimator out to your home, so you get exactly what you are looking for. Our ratings with Angie's List show overwhelmingly that we care about every customer and are definitely not "another business that doesn't want to come into Milwaukee". I was born and raised in Milwaukee, actually about three blocks from your house, and we do over half of our work there. We would be more than happy to provide you with a Free Estimate on your gutters and ventilation as you requested in your original inquiry. We feel it went extremely well. They were professional, and the system for getting the roof on was flawless and well organized. They completed it within a day and a half due to rain, but only took off what they could put back on. Many compliments from my neighbors and a couple saying I have the best looking roof on the block. ? I feel their pricing is fair and there is an option for every budget.

I got a quote from them along with several other contractors 3 years ago for a new roof but decided to make some temporary repairs at the time. We are now going to do the roof this year and I got a flyer in the mail from them advertising "50% off labor". Their quote from 3 years ago was the highest but I thought with 50% off labor (which is usually about 50% of the total cost) their new offer would be reasonable. Their new quote with "50% off labor" was in line with their quote from 3 years ago plus material price increases and NO DISCOUNT. When I asked for the numbers showing the discount they wouldn't provide them but after some prodding said the pre-discount price would be over $19,000. None of the new quotes from other roofers are above $14,000. Jacking the price up and then offering a "discount" really irks me. If they are not being honest in their advertising and pricing why would I trust any of their other claims about how great their service and warranty are?

We installed over 600 roofs last year to a very satisfied customer base that continue to refer us to their friends and family. All of our negative reviews are from people who did not contract us for work. Far too many contractors fall short when it comes time to complete the work but as you will read in our countless reviews this is where we shine! Our material and labor rates have increased over the past 3 years and we do offer discounts....considering the cost presented now is in line with the price from 3 years ago makes that evident. Sometimes we are the most expensive and often we are the least! I am bewildered that you felt it necessary to take time out of your day to slander my honest and hardworking staff when you didn't even use our service. We are a 9 time award winner on Angie's List, have an outstanding outreach program with the community, and have donated a number of roofs to charity.
