Mike took extra care to insure the problem was fixed and he was a great resource for questions that I had.

I remember he was wonderful. He came on time and was clean. He not only cleared the drain for me, but he actually fixed a time to tell me what to do to keep it running free. I really appreciated that. I would use him again in the future if I needed his services.

Results were as expected. Service men were professional and courteous. Work quality was excellent. I would hire them again.

I like their work and we are pretty satisfied with them. I like their availability.

I had an old cast iron bathtub that was rusting around the drain and tile walls that were starting to show signs of water penetration. I called three plumbers for estimates. Ryan from Idea was prompt in emailing me an estimate the day after a visit to see my project. His estimate was in the middle but I have had Ideal help me out in the past so I hired them. The plan was for me to remove the old tiles and drywall. Rob (the plumber) came first thing in the morning, easily removed the old tub in one piece, and installed the new Kohler Villager cast iron tub with a helping hand from Ryan (a brief stop for Ryan). All the connections were updated and the tub was finished being installed by early afternoon. John came later in the afternoon to install the drywall and he began taping and applying joint compound. John returned the second day to finish the drywall, apply a coat of fast drying primer, and he installed the Swanstone tub surround (3 pieces plus 2 trim pieces that cover the corner seems). The new tub looks great! Rob and John both were courteous, did great work, and they did a nice job cleaning up.

Tried for over a week to get in touch with Mike Scherer. No luck. Called the company several times. Was told each time he was out and was given his voice mail. Left several messages, but still no response from Mr. Scherer. I should point out that he did return one call and left his cell number (I wasn't home). Tried calling his cell number and even left a message on his cell phone. Still no contact. I wonder how this company got all the and quot;Aand quot; ratings.

Overal a little frustrating but in the end i was satisfied.

We had Ideal come in to give us a quote on a new water heater, furnace and AC. The technician was professional and friendly (but we did not get any information on a quote at that time). It took longer than promised to get the quote, but the supervisor did call me to apologize for the delay in sending out the quote, which was appreciated. Their prices were good, but we ultimately just went with another company.

As promised, the job took one full day including the electrical inspection. The basement was fully cleaned before they left and very little disturbance outside where the air conditioning unit was replaced.

He put the snake in the sewer drain in the basement. And also fixed the toilet that was contiously running. He cleaned up everything when he was done. I would highly recommend him to others. I called this morning around 9am and he was out to my house before noon!

When I called he took the time to answer all my questions on the phone and give advice. He was very professional and gave me estimates for a replacement water heater.

Experience was fine EXCEPT that the workman used my good beach towel that I had put on the floor (to kneel on) as a rag. I found pieces of welding melted to the towel and can no longer use the towel. If he had asked, I would have gotten him a rag. Also, the hot water pressure in the kitchen faucet that he replaced is extremely low whereas the rest of the house is good. He said it was "probably mineral deposits" in the pipes.

It took a while for the technician to determine what the issue was, but he was thorough and we did get to the root of the problem.

I spent around $1700 or $1800. They did a good job. Their service was good. They cleaned up after themselves. The price did seem to be on the higher end of the price scale, but it was proportionate for what I got. I got the service that I paid for. I would possibly use them again in the future if need be.

It was good and everything is still working fine. The guy was pretty punctual. He showed up earlier than we expected which is always good and he did a great job.

Came out promptly, worked very hard to reach and open our Palmer valve, which was corroded and wouldn't open. Explained everything clearly, and the price seemed fair.

I had no hot water on July 21st. I called Ideal and they came that same day. Mike checked and added a new part, but said several parts were not up to code (the heater was 21 years old). He thought it would work for awhile, but after being out of town for the weekend, I came home to cold water. I called Monday morning, the 25th. and by afternoon, Mike appeared with a new water heater. He did a great job taking only a few hours to install it and now I have lovely hot water.

They are very reputed and very good company. We went with a different company just because we had different dealings with them. The guy who came out was nice. They explained things to me.

They came within two hours of my call. Best of all they successfully identified and patched the leak.

It went great! I really couldn't have asked for better or timelier service.

I liked the fact that they were quick, timely and they pretty much left the area as it was before they came. The workers were polite and professional. I only have 2 issues, I wish that they would have explained that they would be cutting into the vent down in the basement that is connected to the furnace - I wish they would have explained that before they did it. I didn't know until the job was finished. I also wish that they would have told me there would be a whistling noise from the holes they drilled into the vents. There was a whistling noise every time the furnace came on. It's not a loud whistle but you can hear it in a certain part of the house.

They arrived at day and time scheduled. Repair was done quickly and without any additional charges. Only delay was waiting for Village to arrive to shut off water and valve near the curb.

The plumber cleared the clog but suggested that he only needed to go about 20 feet past the obstruction because when he flushed the lateral with water everything appeared to be fine. A few days later I found out that the plumber only partially cleared the lateral when we started to use the sinks/toilets and sewage starting backing up from the basement floor drain. I contacted Ideal Plumbing and explained what had happened and they told me that sewer cleaning work was not warranted and the problem might be something new or unrelated to the previous problem. After explaining why I thought they were responsible for the new problem I ended up calling another plumber (ABC Sewer) who completely cleared the lateral as I requested. Because two rooms of carpet were ruined by this situation I intend to pursue this matter further with Ideal Plumbing. And I now know to ask specific questions about warranty work instead of simply accepting the fact that a company advertises that they guarantee their work (because it may only be on specific items).

I called the company at 7 am (as soon as they opened) and left my name with the desk. I was still waiting for a return phone call at 8 am. I ended up calling them back and the plumber arrived at 9:15 am. It took him 1 hour to complete the services. He gave me recommendations to avoid the problem in the future.
