It worked out real fine and we have used them for years. I call them and they come; it is just that simple. They have fixed our house a number of times and know our property.

Ideal Plumbing's plumbers are not only excellent, they really care about their customers, and want to help. We've used several of them over the years, and they've all been great. The biggest we had was a kitchen sink drain that clogged up frequently, because the pipe it connects to is very thin. They have unclogged it numerous times, given us advice on how to not have it happen again and also have given us a quote to replace the pipe.

I've used Ideal a few times, and will continue to use them in the future. They replaced my hot water heater last year and that went fine. It cost a lot more (+$300 ?) than their original estimate because they didn't ask whether it was a power vent (vents out the side of the house, not up the chimney) and those are more expensive. I also called them a few years ago for sewer backup, and they referred me to a lower-cost provider, which says a LOT about them that they could have made more money on me, but chose not to.

Installation went smoothly. Installer was friendly and knowledgeable.

called them because the air unit wasnt working. the recommnded parts and labor to repair the problem would be about $1000 (new blower motor) and there still could be problems not identified because of the old equipment. so they suggested replacing the unit. everyone bent over backwards to make the purchase and installation as painless as possible. they even arranged 12 months financing. The price could have been lower but the service and install were excellent. the new equipment is much better than the 17 year old equipment we had. a more constant temp and less fan blowing. a great unit.

Mike showed up on time, was very professional and personable in his approach. He worked quickly and efficiently. He did a fine job.

They were awesome. They did such a fabulous job that I had them come back a few days later to install a toilet upstairs.

I've used Ideal twice in the past, and they were my first call for this project. I discovered late at night that our water heater had shut off. When I was unable to relight it, I called Ideal. Their answering service took down my information, and I received a call from a technician within about 15 minutes. He offered to come that night, but given the after-hours minimum ($250), I opted to have a technician come out in the morning. Since I already had them on the phone, I also asked to schedule a technician to come look at my A/C, which was overdue for service. I was able to get both appointments within the same 3-hour window. (1) A/C Service. Keith, the technician for the A/C arrived first. Within about 30 seconds of looking at my furnace, he said, and quot;You need more freon, but I'll test it to confirm.and quot; After examining the furnace and blower, he went out to the compressor unit. After his diagnostic testing, he confirmed that it needed and quot;rechargedand quot; and promptly brought out a tank of freon to recharge it. During the servicing, I learned a ton about my unit, options for new units (mine is 20+ years old) and the service he was performing. A short time later, after he had cleaned the compressor unit and confirmed the recharge was successful, he finished up the paperwork and was on his way. (2) Water Heater. Pete, the technician for the water heater arrived just after Keith left. Pete quickly examined the water heater and began relighting the pilot without trouble. Feeling like an idiot for being unable to do that last night, I made him turn it off and let me practice relighting it. This time, however, neither he, nor I could get it going. My piezoelectric ignition was not working great, so lighting it was more of a challenge than it should have been. After discussing that the pilot could be lit manually, we went ahead and lit it using a torch. He gave me the option of replacing the thermocouple, and I decided to have that done since he was already at my house. He replaced the part and cleaned other parts of the heater. I learned a tremendous amount about the heater (including that it could have significant life left!) and was very thankful for his help. Both Keith and Pete were a pleasure to work with, knowledgable and helpful.

This was a follow-up visit from our water heater replacement. The building inspector did not like the length of the drip pipe on the gas line (it's supposed to be 6 inches, but our old one was 5 inches), so we had Ideal / Friese-Mueller come out to take care of it. I also wanted to have some other frozen/leaking valves replaced. Pete arrived right on time and went to work. He only replaced the parts that needed to be replaced, and showed me the inside of the old valve and pipe that he removed. It was probably constricting the flow, as it was an old-style valve. He also replaced the drain valve on our boiler with a ball valve. He didn't have exactly the right part on the truck, so he made an assembly that did the trick. It looks nice, but it's probably a little overkill for what's really needed. Pete cleaned everything up and left the place very nice-looking. This was our second experience, and as before, they did a nice job. The price was a bit steep, and I probably could have replaced the boiler valve myself, but it's done and it works.

Well, my water heater is 8 years old. About midlife for one. Recently the pilot started going out and not staying lit. Thought it was thermocoupler. Did not fix the problem. So they told me it was the control box, or brains. Fixed that. He left, water got hot, everything fine except I'm $400 poorer. Now today Sunday, 4 days later....no pilot light again. Turns out it was a flame arrestor issue, but I ended up buying a new one to get over the poor design. I made the appointment over website, they called PROMPTLY (barely hit enter) to set it up and confirm time. Only negative was the guy was 45 min early and I was on an important phone call which he was interrupting. So that kind of bothered me. But he was pleasant and professional but an appointment is an appointment. He explained a lot of things to me because I had a friend who kept texting me to make sure I didn't get sold a bill of goods for something I didn't need, and $400 later with a non-working water heater he might have been right. I am not mad that I got stuck with $400 for NOT fixing the problem because that is my choice for believing the guy but in retrospect I should have listened to my gut. However, it is customary nowadays to leave the parts behind just in case that wasn't the deal and then I can get some of my money back by selling the part that was not broken. NOT ONLY did he take my obviously working gas control valve away from the site (which he should not have done) and then told me it was in a dumpster (I don't believe him) he also asked for and took a brass faucet out of my trash and sold it for scrap. He asked me for permission which I granted, but at the time I thought I'd have a working water heater. But he shouldn't have even asked, it was unprofessional.

Very professional. I have no complaints except the price. I'm a retired woman with minimal income.

I have used them for projects in the past. They suggested one water heater over the other and gave the advantages and disadvantages for them. They came out and did the job. Installed the water heater and explained everything to me. They also cleaned up after themselves pretty well.

He was excellent. He came during the winter and used shoe covers. He had such a good clean-up, you couldn't even tell he was here. He was pleasant, friendly, very nice and professional. I wouldn't use anyone else!

Went well and met my expectations.

It went well, but the toilet got broken in the process.

The repair man performed the repairs quickly and correctly. We have not had any trouble since.

I discovered over the weekend that our water heater was leaking. I called Ideal - Friese Mueller on Monday morning and talked to Al about the choices. He gave me a price over the phone. I did some investigating and checked with other companies, and they were all in the same price range. I also researched water heater brands to be confident that Bradford White is a reliable product. I called back Tuesday morning at 7 am to set up an appointment for them to come and do the work. I was given a window from 9 to 12 (the same day!!), and I got a call about 11:30 that Mike was on his way over. He got here around 11:45. He checked the heater that was installed to make sure that he got the right replacement model. Since they were out of stock on the standard height, he ordered a short height model at the same price. He replaced the heater very quickly, and even replaced a bad shutoff valve while the system was open. He also put in a galvanic isolation barrier from galvanized pipe to brass to copper for the connection to the heater. He said that this would help keep the system from getting clogged up in the future, as some parts of town (Elm Grove, Waukesha) have problems with very hard water or well water. When he was done, he made sure things were working properly. He showed me the pilot light monitor and how to set the temperature higher than 120 degrees if I wanted to change it. He also cleaned up the water on the floor and left the area much better than it was before. He was in and out in less than 2 hours, including wait time for the heater to be delivered. All in all, it was a really good experience. It is hard to find a good plumber who will fix things efficiently.

I just felt they were really honest and I felt really comfortable with them being in my house. They came when they said they would come. The worked the whole time they were here. They were well coordinated. They have one guy, Ryan who seem to coordinate everybody else. He seems to have a good handle on what all was going on and who is doing what. I really appreciated that. If I had any questions or anything, I could always call him and he would have the answer.

Opening sewer drain took much longer than it should have, building hourly charges. Snaking shower drain broke the drainpipe which he didn't notice. Before he left, though, he went into my wife's closet to get at our cleaning supplies, without asking first, which he used to clean up the shower. We found this to be a significant invasion of privacy. By the time we noticed the leak a wall in our utility room (directly below) was flooded and we had significant water on the floor. I fixed the drainpipe myself and then asked them to return to snake the pipe (it was still very slow), which they did.

Plumber arrived about an hour after I called. Took him about a half hour. He was professional, efficient and diagnosed the source of the leaks right away. I would definitely use Ideal again for any plumbing problems.

The drywall surrounding the pipe that the shower head is connected to was getting wet. There was a leak where the curved pipe connected to the water supply pipe. He removed some of the drywall, replaced the pipe and showerhead. Great job and he was careful to place a towel in the tub where he was standing and cleaned up totally when he was done. He also left the name of a company to use for the drywall repair.
