Ideal Plumbing Heating AC & Friese Mueller Service

They are very good. They did an excellent job. I'm not sure what the going rate for plumbers are, but they're not cheap.

The plumber was fast, efficient, clean, helpful, and got the job done.

It was raining and I was doing laundry. I went down to the basement and there was a huge puddle surrounding the basement drain. About 10min later, the water went down the drain. I assumed I needed the drain pipe snaked. I called Ideal at around 10am, and they said someone could be there between 12:00 and 3:00PM. Their guy (Eddie Patton) arrived at about 12:45. He did several diagnostic checks. He suspected that rainwater had backed up, but told me everything was running, and advised keeping an eye on it, and showed me how to look at the cleanout. VERY personable, likeable guy.

We called and the operator was pleasant and prompt. We had someone out to our house within 2 hours and the problem took a 1/2 hour to fix. We were charged only for the part ($15) and one half hour of labor. Great!!! Would absolutely call them again

They came right out after I called them on the same day, gave me a quote right there and finished the work in a day. He was punctual, friendly and everything is working fine. I think the price was reasonable. He gave me a discount on maintenance work because I also took the humidifier.

Oustanding service. He did more than I intially asked. I was pleased.

They are excellent plumbers. They are competent and they don't leave a mess. They get in there and do their work. The prices have always been reasonable. I have referred others to them and the price always been less than others. I have been using them for the last 20 years.

I have used them before for other work. I always use the same guy, Mike. He explains things to me and gives me tips on how to keep the drains cleaned. He tells me everything he is going to do. He is very polite and respectful to my older kids that are here if I can't be. Their prices are fair. They come when they say they will.

Excellent! They were the first out of three other companies to setup a time and provide a quote. When I had questions, I emailed the person who quoted and I had an answer within a few minutes, everytime! They also provided me with a list of $950 worth of rebates ($225 I didn't know about). Their final price was exactly what they quoted.

The last time they came out it was like magic. He just walked in and the sink drained. They then said they had to charge for a service call, but then he came back in and said they would not charge. They have been very good. They installed a new sump pump for me and prior to that they had fixed the sump pump and thought I did not need a new one. Then, they did come back and replace the sump pump, but I have never had the feeling they were trying to sell me something. It has always been if you really need something. I feel they are very honest and I like the work they have done for me.

We received three bids on the remodel of our bathroom and Ideal was the lowest. They were extremely professional, friendly and performed quality workmanship. I would highly recommend Ideal, we have never been so pleased with the work that was performed. Our bathroom turned out beautiful and the price was very reasonable.

I called and could have had someone at my house the same day it I could have been home. Mike was courteous and professional from start to finish. Not only did he diagnose and fix the problem, he also check my hot water heater to make sure that I wasn't having a problem with it (which could also be a source of the smell). He explained exactly what he was doing, and why, in terms that I could understand, which is wonderful for a woman who has little to no plumbing knowledge. I never felt as if he was telling me I needed more work than was necessary. He worked quickly and efficiently so that my bill would be as low as possible. He cleaned up any mess he might have made. I will definitely call on them again if I need a plumber for any reason.

We had water in the basement of our brand new house after heavy rains this spring. An especially bad rain resulted in sewer water backing up the floor drain. We got estimates from several companies, and although Ideal's wasn't the cheapest, they were the right pick. They clearly had the expertise to do the job, they took time to explain everything in detail and discuss other options, and they were very highly rated on Angie's List. We were about to go on vacation and really wanted to get the work done before leaving town, and they worked with us to make it happen. The plumbers showed up on time each day and worked steadily. They called me in whenever needed and kept me in the loop on their progress. They finished on time and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. The basement looked better after than it did before. We haven't had rain since the work was done, so I can't say for certain whether the problem is solved, but I'll be very surprised if it isn't.

I wanted the pipe repaired. I removed old toilet so access was open and went to purchase a new toilet which I was going to replace once pipe was repaired. The pipe was wratched out and replaced (15 minutes would have been excessive) however after spending well over an hour I realized I had relied too heavily on Angie's list for a quality plumber. After an hour and a half I was presented with bill (15 min in his truck to prepare the bill) for $438 for screwing a pipe out of the wall and screwing another one in. Apparently Frieze Mueller was purchased by Ideal Plumbing which doesn't believe in repeat customers. Don't make the same mistake!~STAY AWAY.

For each job I was consulted on my preferences re: how the work would done (e.g., given choices on toilet fix) and also was given extra information that would save me money and headaches in the future (e.g., a non-caustic drain cleaner). Also, attention was paid to cleaning up thoroughly when the work was done. This company is a little more expensive than some, I think, but worth it. A+

Very well. He was very efficient in emailing a quote and answering email questions I had. He was very knowlegable. He also didn't complain about needing to dig up dirt so that the vent outside would have clear space.

Previous sump pump died on a weekend during heavy rains. Returned call within 30 minutes on a Sat. and came out within 1.5 hrs. Indicated the work would be at double time. Work was completed in a reasonable time frame and sump pump was cycled several times to alleviate water build-up in the drain tiles. Plumber was knowledgeable and professional. Have worked with company previously and will again.

They showed up within an hour after I called (I didn't ask for any rush service). I was pleasantly surprised and all was handled very well.

I like them because they do a very good quality of work. Also, they were very efficient and honest about what they were going to do.

My furnace was blowing but there was no heat coming out on a very cold February day. The serviceman was there w/in the hour! They checked my furnace for any malfunction. There was none. I had apparently checked it twice while the heater was ramping up. He checked the filter, controller and connections. He didn't see are real cause and cut the house call fee in half!! A followup call came w/in a week to make sure the furnace was not malfunctioning again. I had mentioned the heat exchanger had been changed, which was not the name of the part I was talking about. He thought the 2 replacements sounded very unusual and actually took the trouble to call the manufacturer after leaving.

Excellent and amazingly fast - which makes it seem like you didn't get your money's worth! Cost was $835 which inlcuded labor, new 40 gallon gas water heater, and installation of new water line for humidifier on furnace ($45). Quality of work was tremendous and Bob was very professional. Probably could have had this done at a lower cost, but with water on the floor, I had little options. As a point of reference, one other company quoted me at $875, so I think Ideal was in the appropriate price range.

Tragedy! They are out of business! They have been bought out by another company. :(

I called Ideal at 7:00 p.m. to report water gushing from the base of my water heater. The gentleman on the phone talked me through the steps to shut off the water going into the water heater, thus stopping the leak. Someone arrived the very next morning, removed the old heater, installed the new one, and disposed of the old heater for me. All very professional from start to finish. Based on comparison costs, I feel their price was very fair.

I was charged for a hour of work, including a half hour travel time and half hour labor time. The price seemed a little steep, but I did not have a chance to get other estimates. They were able to come the next day. They arrived promptly. They had to re-light my pilot light, and that seemed to take care of the problem. The technician was very chatty, but friendly. I would use them again in the future.

The installer, Tom, called about 30 minutes before he arrived to confirm our appointment. He drained and removed my old water heater and installed the new water heater. He was very considerate in closing the door to my house each time he went out to his truck, showed me how to raise/lower the temperature if I felt I needed to change it, and was very helpful in answering some general questions I had. He was one of the nicest and most courteous people I have worked with in years and years! I would highly recommend him and his company.
