He was the lowest quote and was very personable. However, upon contracting the work, it took longer than expected and we had to keep having him fix things that weren't what we wanted. After 5 months, our new fan didn't work and we called twice to have him come take a look at it, he never called us back. After 2 weeks, we went with someone else.

Horrible. The person the owner sent to do the work was completely unprofessional. He drilled a hole through my hardwood floor and one of my fans doesn't work properly. The owner said he would fix it, but never did.

Gerry gave an estimate and was the lowest cost out of 3 bidders. He specializes in service upgrades. A three man crew took about 4 hours to perform the upgrade. A permit was pulled, and the village inspector signed off on the completed work.

Gerry was not able to perform the work himself, as he had been very busy and realized I needed the job done quickly. He sent a sub to do the job who was very personable and efficient.

As a busy professional I find this kind of experience very frustrating. I told the electrician what I needed done...for fixtures to be hung and a quote on some exterior wiring. If not planning on doing any work, I should have been told, so I could get someone else to do the work I needed done by a certain date! Dealing with this company was a waste of my time.

REBUTTAL: PUTTING A LIEN ON MY HOME IS RIDICULOUS. I'VE ALREADY PAID G&G OVER $7000, AND I DON'T OWE WHAT HE IS CLAIMING. HIS "1ST" FINAL BILL WAS $540 BUT SOME ITEMS WERE INCOMPLETE. I CALLED TO ASK IF HE WANTED TO FINISH THEM; HE TOLD ME TO DEDUCT THEM. HENCE THE $230. THEN I GET A "2ND" FINAL BILL FOR $1100 WITH MADE UP ADD'L CHARGES. AT MOST, I OWE $230, WHICH I HAVE OFFERED TO PAY, BUT BECAUSE OF HIS THREATS, WILL PAY ONLY IF HE SIGNS A WRITTEN LIEN WAIVER. I HAVE OFFERED TO GO THROUGH EVERY BILL AND, IF NEEDED, EVERY CHARGE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT GERRY (OF G&G) NEVER IMAGINED I WOULD TAKE HIM UP ON HIS OFFER TO FIND A DIFFERENT ELECTRICIAN. IT JUST WASN'T WORTH HAVING TO DEAL WITH HIM ANYMORE. HIS THREAT OF LIEN AND INCREDIBLY OVER-INFLATED FINAL BILLS ARE HIS REVENGE. IF HE PUTS A LIEN ON MY HOME, HE IS ABUSING HIS LICENSE. THANKS, ANGIE'S LIST, FOR TRYING TO HELP, BUT I WILL NOW PURSUE THIS WITH THE BBB, THE ATTY GENERAL, AND THE DEPT OF COMMERCE (LICENSES ELECTRICIANS).

JERRY SHOWED UP PROMPTLY AND GOT THE JOB DONE ON TIME AS PROMISED. THE INSPECTOR HAD A COUPLE OF MINOR COMPLAINTS AND G&G CAME BACK PROMPTLY TO ADDRESS THEM. I WILL CALL HIM AGAIN WHEN I NEED MORE HELP.

VERY EFFICIENT TEAM.

THEY REALLY UNDERSTAND WIRING FOR OLD HOMES. HE TAKES A PARTICULAR INTEREST IN OLDER HOMES, AND MAKES SURE OLD WIRING IS NOT INTERFERING WITH NEW WIRING. HE REALLY TAKES THE TIME TO TRAIN THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR HIM, AND THEY ARE VERY SKILLED. EFFICIENT, RESPONSIVE, VERY DIRECT AND I HAVE CONFIDENCE IN WHAT HES TELLING ME. HES A REAL TREAT TO WORK WITH.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. ONE OUTLET DID NOT GET FIXED PROPERLY AND THEY RETURNED TO FIX IT WITHIN A WEEK. WHILE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS, CLEANLINESS WAS A PROBLEM. WE WERE ASKED TO SUPPLY A DROP CLOTH AND HAD TO FIND SOMETHING MAKESHIFT, SINCE WE DON''T OWN ONE. WE THOUGHT THEY COULD HAVE MADE MORE EFFORT TOWARD VACUUMING UP THE DUST AND INSULATION AND COVERING THE WORK AREA. IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO GET EVERYTHING, BUT WE HAD TO DO THE BASIC CLEANING AFTER THEY LEFT.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND CLEANED UP WELL. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN ON OUR OTHER PROPERTIES. PUT IN EXTRA CIRCUTS FOR US, AND GAVE US REALLY GOOD ADVICE.
