Great experience from start to finish. Connie was so friendly on the phone, and was able to send someone out that very day to fix our garage door. The work was done very quickly and efficiently, and was explained clearly prior to starting. Really, really happy that I chose Blando. I would use these guys again, in a heartbeat!

They always do a great job, and they get here right away. If there is a problem with the garage door, the car is stranded and we are stranded because the garage won’t open. This time, we had a problem on a Sunday afternoon, we left a message, and they called us the next morning and they were here by eleven that morning, and they fixed it. They are some of the friendliest people.

My garage door opener had stopped working. I had delayed getting the work done until I could be available to be home during the day. I called Blando Door up at 11:00 AM. By 1:30PM, Blando had arrived, provided me with options and replaced the garage door opener. Completely lubricated and serviced the garage door and springs. Very happy with the service, and would definitely use them again.

I spoke with Connie Blando and we arranged a time for them to come out and provide an estimate to install two new garage doors on an existing two-car garage. The installation had to wait for some concrete work to be completed, but once that was done everything moved along well and the new tracks and doors were installed. Blando had done work for me in the past, so i knew it would be a positive experience from start to finish, and it was just that. I'd recommend them anytime.

When I opened the garage door to go to work, it opened too far, and I couldn't get it to come down. I looked on Angie's List, and found Blando with lots of good reports, and has worked in my neighborhood. I called, and even though I caught them on a busy day, they managed to schedule me the same day, in a 2-hour window. Mike came, and obviously knew what he was doing. He did the work mentioned above, and explained how things worked. He was done in about 1/2 hour. I wish every time something went wrong, it was this easy to get fixed. Knowledgeable, honest people, timely response. Glad I picked them, and I would recommend them to anyone!

He was done under 15 min. I thought it was a big job , but he had it fixed very quickly . The fact it was done quickly and correctly says that he really knows what he's doing .

The installation was quick and painless. My new insulated door has worked flawlessly for two winters. Whenever I have a problem or question, I feel comfortable in calling them. They respond to my questions right away. They are very honest and do good work.

The contractor came and was able to repair it by adding a support instead of replacing the whole frame. It works well and was much less expensive.

We have an old wooden garage door. They did a maintainence call for us. We were in a hurry and they responded quickly.

I called on Monday morning to have someone take a look at our damaged garage door. I was informed that someone would be out to look at it between 11 and Noon. Bill arrived just after 11, and talked me through what they would have to to and that the door would have to be replaced. We talked through the options and made a decision on the door. Just as we were wrapping up, they noticed that we did not have an entry door, and asked if we would like an emergency door release installed. I thought that was a great idea and we decided to have that installed also. He gave me a quote that I thought was extremely reasonable. I agreed and called in to schedule an installation. They were able to come out the next day, and did a fantastic job installing all the new hardware and the actual door. The whole process took about an hour. The installer was great, and everything was done to and above expectations. Everyone was very professional and pleasant. Just a side note, I got two quotes from other companies and both were higher. Also, one company could not get out to replace the door for a week, and the other told me it would be at least three weeks!

I called them initially about having some new garage door springs installed. The repairmen, Russ, was prompt and courteous and the installation went on without a hitch. I told him that the opener was 10 years old and was creaking and shaking quite a bit. It had been a box kit we bought at Home Depot. He mentioned that Blando could install a new opener of the highest quality with a solid steel rail, as opposed to the three piece rail we had in-place. It was buckling in a few places, so much so that the door opened in a jerky fashion. The price was excellent so I went ahead and scheduled the the new garage door installation a week later. It only took him less than an hour to install the new Liftmaster and it works outstandingly. The installation appears to be of the highest quality. Russ was very professional and Connie Blando provided excellent customer service.

From the call-in to the end product, everything went smoothly with Blando.

I called Blando Monday morning and they picked up on the third ring. I told them I had a 25 year old screw drive opener and that it didn't perform consistently. According to some research, this is a common problem for screw drive openers in Wisconsin. Basically, when drastic temperature changes occurred the opener would seize up. The lady who answered described the opener and the price, which was very reasonable. The same model can be purchased online starting at $289 or on sale for $226 and that doesn't include the keypad, which is $30 online. To get the entire thing professionally installed for $295 was a solid deal. I scheduled an appointment for sometime between 12-2pm the next day. The technician called at 1:30PM the day of the appointment and asked me where he could park (I live in a condo). I navigated him to my garage and he began working. It took about half an hour and he was done. The Opener is in and working perfectly. The only thing I didn't notice at the time was that when he took down the old opener he broke light bulb and several pieces were still on the floor of the garage when he left. I will definitely call Blando when I need more garage work done, though I suspect the opener will be fine for a long while!

Connie picked up as soon as I called, pulled over (since she was driving at the time) and took my call & made an appointment for the next day, even though it wasn't an emergency. Jason came promptly and was extremely professional, courteous and down to earth. He explained what was the issue, how he would fix it, and added an additional feature per my request. The garage door opener connection to the garage door had been bent due to wear and tear and the absence of a cross-garage bracket (which is a sign of simple installation). Jason worked on the hottest day in Milwaukee (96 w/ heat index of 110) like it was nothing. This is my first experience with Blando Door and Angies List, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed and pleased.

So after making a list of all the odd things happening, I finally called on July 5; and Connie Blando that day was their “chief dispatcher.” I learned it was a busy day for them and the first thing she wanted to know was if this was an emergency that needed their immediate attention. I said definitely not, no hurry whatsoever; so she scheduled me in on July 7 at a convenient time for me. Bill Blando came right on time and he was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT. Super friendly and quality conscious. He went through my list and tried things for himself and agreed that the garage door mechanism was acting strangely. He brought out some special testing equipment, did a process of elimination, and finally concluded the main problem was the wiring and function of one of the photo eyes. He fixed that and did some tightening of screws and lubed the mechanism and INSTANTLY my door mechanism acted “like new.” I could kick myself for waiting so long. BY THE WAY, if you don’t have a garage door key pad, you don’t know what you’re missing. They installed mine years ago and it has been a big blessing.

We left them a message on Sunday and they got back to us the same day, very fast response. Within a few hours, we had an appointment scheduled for the very next day. The repairmen were on time and perrformed all required work at a much lower than expected cost, including an Angies list discount. Very friendly. Would recommend.

From beginning to end this company does a great job. They know exactly what they are doing. I am very happy with their work.

I appreciated the prompt service so that I could get my car out for a medical appointment.. The staff were professional, efficient and personable. They insured that we checked the functioning of the remotes, keypad and open/close switches after installation of the garage door opener. We would use this company again.

Blando Door Company was very responsive to my needs. I called first thing on Monday morning, and Kevin was able to come out for an estimate about 2 hours later. Since my garage door was a standard size, they had a new model in stock and were able to install it the next afternoon. I was planning to replace the door this year, but decided to do it sooner after the tension cable snapped. I had collected a couple of price quotes beforehand, so I knew Blando had a very fair price for the door and installation service. I picked Blando Door Company based on the high number of positive reviews on Angies List. This told me they do a lot of garage doors, and do them well. I will use Blando again in the future for any service or maintenance needs.

I had a very pleasant experience with Blando, starting with the initial call to the office. The woman answering the phone took time to answer my questions, and gave me some direction when she didn't know the answer to one of them. The representative was right on time (actually about 10 minutes early), and explained to me what the issues were with the garage door. He offered me several options, ranging from fixing sections of the door, to full replacement. He explained the pros and cons of each, as well as the price. I felt absolutely no pressure either way, but he was also clear in what he felt would be most beneficial. Given the state of the rest of my garage, he actually discouraged me from spending more than I needed to. I felt the recommendations really matched the situation. Services were provided the next day, when I was working. I came home and could hardly tell anyone had been there, except everything was new. Everything was clean and neat, and nothing out of place. I would definitely recommend Blando to anyone, and would use their services again if needed.
