Batzner Pest Control

We had a major wasp problem this summer, almost overnight, 7 or 8 small wasp nests appeared around our house. I have little kids and was afraid to let them play outside with all the wasp activity. I called Batzner because of positive recommendations and because they are environmentally friendly. They were able to come out within 48 hours. As I was walking around the house with the exterminator, I discovered the beginnings of several more wasp nests under our eaves, for a total of at least a dozen. Yuck! He said he would spray around the entire perimeter of the house, under the eaves, with special attention to the active nests. Afterwards, he told me he had sprayed around our shutters as well, after seeing lots of wasp "activity" there as well. We didn't see any wasps for the rest of the summer, despite noticing nests on several of our neighbors' homes. We signed up for their quarterly program. For $37 a quarter, they come out and do preventative treatments in the spring and summer and will come back any time we see stinging insects around the house. The only thing I wish they had done was remove the actual nests. They said they could come back and do this after a few days, but it would be an additional charge. We decided to take care of this ourselves.

Ian explained the spraying he was going to do and assured us it would not harm out cat. He then spent time outside and inside the house searching for signs of rodent activity and entry points. He placed numerous traps and pointed out places where mice were most likely entering, and even patched one hole to close it. He also explained the on-going service and what would be occurring at each time of year.

They are wonderful. They are very professional and on time. They call before they come to make sure that were are here. They make me feel comfortable and they answer any questions that I have. They give me suggestions.

Batzner's was very helpful on the phone and promptly arranged for a technician to service our home. I was tired of setting mouse traps and we have been inundated with millipedes. Technician was thorough and scoured the house for potential mouse holes. Plugged several and identified an issue that required some attention at our electrical service entry box. The technician also offered us the choice between standard and a newer "green" product for application to our exterior and basement. Although the millipedes are greatly reduced, they are still on a mission to over-take our home. Batzner's promptly (within 48 hrs.) scheduled a second service visit. So they do live up to their promises and have followed through.

I thought they were very good. They were very professional and easy to deal with. They really seemed to know their stuff. They arrived promptly. The man who came out was courteous to my home and was very friendly.

Phone scheduler was very professional and spent a lot of time going through the different options and payment plans. She worked with me to get a technician there the next day, and the technician showed up promptly at the scheduled time. After a brief walk around the yard, the technician reported that he could not find the wasps nest in our yard, and therefore could not fix the problem. He sprayed poison in the backyard to kill the flying insects but said that we might not see any results for a month and it wouldn't fix the problem because the nest could be anywhere. He reported that the poison would only be safe for kids to go on after it was dry, but did not know what would happen if it became wet again from a safety standpoint since it was supposed to work for a month. I think because he felt bad that we had spent so much money for the service, he sprayed around the base of the house and said that it would kill any ants, spiders, flying insects etc. In the future I would search for a company that would provide a free or variable estimate, instead of having to pay the full amount only to have the technician say that he can't fix the problem. I am thankful that I didn't sign up for their installment plan up front. In the meantime, the wasps remain and with kids in the house we now have to worry about wasps AND poison.

We were replacing some old wood on my upper porch railing and I saw some carpenter ants. They came out on time and searched for the ants and luckily there was not an infestation. They were very helpful with any questions I had.

We have used them for about a year. They have been very helpful with the mice, but not quite so successful with the ants, but I am not upset about it or anything. When you're on the service contract, they will call you and let you know when they are coming, and you have to let them know if you have any special needs. You have to be a little bit proactive.

They were very professional, the job was done in a very timely manner and the ant problem did not arise again in that house. I recommend them to all of my friends and my neighbors.

This was done for a couple hundred dollars and I still have mice. I called them back to let them know I still had the mice, but they said there was nothing else they could do.

I literally had ants pouring into my home. Their work was a miracle. We have a service contract with them; they are helpful, and will work to resolve any problem, from interior pests to wasps around my home. They come out 4 times per year, or more upon request. They have proven to be very thorough.

Everything was fine, they were on time and very helpful.

I was impressed with the savvy and know-how of the technician who quickly identified the source of our problem and the easiest, most cost effective manner of eliminating it. I an very satisfied.

After trying to deal with mice on my own for about a year I gave up and called Batzner. They identified several points of entry around the house and said that filling these and setting out some poison would take care of it. I signed up for the 1-year service so they come back every three months to see how things are going, leave more poison if necessary, etc. Also had them spray for ants because we have those, too. Filling the holes ended up being an expensive process but three months later we have seriously put a dent in the population of mice that were living in our house. I still have a little more work to do but so far so good.

We were having problems with bugs in the house. I was getting to the point that I was ready to move out! I called Batzner on a Monday morning and the representative that I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and helpful. I got an appointment for that Saturday morning. The morning of our appointment, the technician (Matt) came right on time. He came in the house with shoe covers (which was much more than I expected). Then he sat down with my husband and I and we discussed the problems we had been having, what we had done, what he would be using, what we could expect, etc. He was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions. When he started spraying, again he was very neat, thorough, and he kept us informed with exactly what was going on. When he finished, we again sat down and he gave us all of the paperwork and his card so that we could call with any questions or problems.

It was so nice to work with a company that takes the time to make sure the customer fully understands the problem, and also takes time to do a thorough job fixing the problem.

Phoned for information about company. Shirley was pleasant and helpful. Appointment was made at our convenience. Mark came to our home and spent about 1+ hour going through the home and talking with us about areas of concern. Also walked around home and talked about surrounding yard. We noticed less activity in about 10 days (main area was the attic). No activity after 2 weeks. We made the decision to have on-going service with this company. They returned to re-bait the stations and assess for other insects and spiders.

At first contact, the sales rep was very helpful and a tech was scheduled to come out. An unexpected blizzard came up on the date of the scheduled service, resulting in Batzner canceling the appointment. Because we had seen mice, I was eager to get treatment started ASAP. Initially, none of the windows the sales rep could give me worked, which meant that we would have to wait an extra week for our first treatment. I informed the rep that I was going to have to decide if I wanted to have Batzner provide this service, being that there would be such a delay in getting a tech. Within five minutes, the sales rep called back and had a tech scheduled for the next business day. When the tech arrived, he was very professional and explained as much as he could about the procedure that would be taking place. He spent a good amount of time inspecting the house and applying the proper fixes.

They were very polite and nice. They would cover their boots when in the house to keep everything clean. They came out and made an estimate. It ended up taking less time and materials it thought they would need. I paid them the amount of the estimate then the next day they called me back and said they would refund me the extra they had charged. They are very honest.

I was pleased with what they have done.

They do a nice job on the quarterly inspections. They have also been extremely responsive when we have called regarding other issues such as carpenter ants, centipedes or wasps.

Came the next day, on time and explained everything. Scheduler was professional, arranged a visit when needed and no hard sell (unlike another firm I tried).

They are great. They identified the areas of flying insects and treated the areas around the nests as well. They also were aggressive on the ant and spider population. The bait stations were set and will be monitored four times a year. I decided on the yearly ongoing service, as I was used to having a pest control service (sadly for termites) in the previous city I lived in. Batzner was very competitive with price from what I was used to paying and they were very good at explanations not only of the pests and tips of how to prevent them, but also of the chemicals they used to treat (terminate) the pests.
