Description of Work: Managed to schedule 2 services for the same time - but needed to different techs. No problem! They knew each other and took care of their own services. Condenser needed checking on subzero fridge and control on upper double wall oven needed to be replaced. All items available on truck and service completed on same day. Have used at another residence in the past and was happy with service then as well.

Description of Work: We called Akrit to check and calibrate our Wolf dual fuel cook top/oven. They did a great job. Also we suspected a small leak in the gas line and although they were not licensed to fix it, they suggested having the furnace checked as we would normally do and asking the furnace guy to check it which turned out to be a good suggestion.

Description of Work: DACOR Oven wouldn't heat up and lights in oven wouldn't work consistantly. Made appointment and before serviceman arrived oven resumed heating, although the lights never did work properly. Kept appointment any to check things over. He determined that it was probably the control panel. The estimate was about 300 dollars to fix. I decided to wait to see if it failed. He said that if they had to come back to fix it in the next 30 days the 95 dollar service call would apply to the control panel repair. Very fair, in my opinion. Oven has worked fine since, except for the lights, of course.

Description of Work: Called looking for appliance repair; educated me that most repair services only service certain brands and then Clarice did a Miracle on 34th Street and gave me names and phone numbers on services that would repair the brands in question. I was able to use them for estimate on dishwasher repair but ended up canceling repair as replacement cheaper and more practical. Unfortunately they do not sell appliances because we would head there. They were helpful providing numbers to check on coverage of item needed and honest about the cost for repair. What a great way to provide service. We will recommend them for their pre-customer service as well as their service. Estimate $64.95.

+ -1 moreTHEY TOLD ME THE PART WOULD BE IN BY TUESDAY, AT THE LATEST. I CALLED THEM ON WEDNESDAY TO FIND OUT WHEN THEY WERE COMING. THEY TOLD ME THAT EVERYONE WAS ON VACATION AND THERE WAS NO WAY THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN IT TO ME THAT FAST. AFTER WAITING ABOUT 10 DAYS I CONTACTED YOU. YOU CALLED BACK AND SAID THAT THEY WOULD BE HERE BY 1:00. I WAS SURPRISED, BECAUSE I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE COMING.

+ -1 moreMY DISHWASHER WAS UNDER WARRANTY, SO THERE WAS NO COST FOR THIS REPAIR. THE COMPANY WHERE THE DISHWASHER WAS PURCHASED SENT THEM. SERVICEMAN WAS ON TIME AND VERY PERSONABLE. HE IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AND USED COMPUTER CODE TO RE-ADJUST THE DRAIN TIME OF THE MACHINE. HE ALSO HAD OTHER GOOD TIPS & COMMENTS RELATING TO OPERATION. EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT CHOSE AKRIT MYSELF, I WOULD CALL THEM ON MY OWN FOR FUTURE SERVICE AS THEY ARE ESPECIALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON HIGH-END AND EUROPEAN MANUFACTURED APPLIANCES.

+ -1 moreTHEY ARE THE ONLY ONE I KNOW OF WHO SERVICES SUB ZEROS AND FISCHER PAYKEL. THE SERVICE MAN CAME ON THE 15TH OF AUGUST TO REPAIR OUR DISH DRAWERS AND ADJUSTED THE LENGTH OF THE HOSES. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED AND HE RETURNED ON THE 18TH TO INSTALL NEW FLAP VALVES. NOW THEY ARE WORKING FINE. I ONLY WISH HE HAD REPLACED THE FLAP VALVES ON THE FIRST SERVICE CALL SO WE DIDN T HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE AND PAY AGAIN. THE CHARGE WAS $68.26 THE FIRST TIME AND $71.47 THE NEXT.
