2nd Life Home Remodeling

Description of Work: We called for an estimate for a bathroom remodel. He came over and we discussed our wishes and ideas. He said he would provide an estimate for us. He never contacted us again.

Description of Work: I met Tim last spring and met with him 3 times in order to have a bathroom done in my basement. Everything was going great and I really liked him, he seemed like a very nice person. However after our last meeting I never heard from him again. I called and emailed him about 3 times until he finally told me he could not do the project. He stated he would not make enough money because he had to subcontract an electrician and a plumber to do their respective jobs. I believe he wanted to do all the work himself and for me not to take out permits.....We discussed the permit situation and I really did not feel comfortable installing a bathroom without any. I did want him to leave the shower untiled for my father to do that part. He mentioned that the quotes he had from fellow electricians and plumbers had changed..... I really don't know what happened. I really felt that I had chemistry with him and was willing to pay him more. I would rather pay more and feel comfortable with the person than to save some dollars and have to deal with someone I don't feel comfortable with. I don't wish him wrong I am sure he is a very nice guy, but I was disappointed I spent to much time waiting for him and lost the window to find a contractor that could do the project in spring or summer.... By the time I found someone else they were pretty booked........
