TERRIBLE QUALITY AND TIMELYNESS!!!!!!!! removal of old slab went as planned but the poor quality started immediately after that. the crew tried to frame up the slab but failed miserably, when I came home from work I decided to measure it and see how they did. all four sides of the framing were off by up to 2" in overall length, corner to corner measurements were off by 4-5" ( no exaggeration ) and as we all know if corner to corner is not perfect the slab does not have square corners. needless to say I emailed them to inform them of the POOR quality and they returned the following Monday to completely disassemble the frame and start over......completely done in one business day, impressive. remeasured once again and everything was good......(side note, I did notice that no excavation was done, old slab was removed and 3/4" road stone was put down directly on the old dirt for the foundation). vapor barrier placed inside framing, re-bar laid on top of vapor barrier but not sure if they ever lifted it up while pouring concrete?????????? concrete poured ( not a very even finish on the 'crete ) and seal coat put down later in the afternoon ( not a very even coat of sealer either ). after forms were removed I noticed that some of the rebar around the perimeter was visible through the outside of the concrete along with a few voids in the 'crete where the forms were, apparently they forgot to vibrate the concrete as they were pouring it. visible re-bar on the edge just makes you wonder what the rest of the re-bar looks like huh? still laying under the concrete, on top of the vapor barrier? DO NOT HIRE SHOWCASE CONCRETE........friendly owners and a quick estimate DO NOT equal quality!

They were very responsive, they responded right away. Their quote was very high; they were charging me way more than it was worth for the job. They were doing some work for my neighbor and I asked them for a quote for my driveway repair and they didn’t want to do it because I have a very long driveway. The piece that needed replacing is right by the garage but they wouldn’t have been able to bring a truck in and I just don’t think they wanted the job. I will not be using them in the future because they are too expensive.

I did not go with them. The prices were too high compared to the others in the area. He was the first one to respond.

Matched old concrete edge very well. Some edge cracking occurred due to differential in old and new slab floating over winter. Finishing was very good. Pitch was set accurately. Concrete thickness was more than minimum 4 in. Reinforcing rod (1/2") on 2 ft centers. Wished I would have buried a drain pipe and eliminated the surface downspout drain.

Not well. Huge grooves from the excavation, contractor said he would do better on the next guy's job. When pressed to make repairs he used fill loaded with stone. Had to have another company come and rake out the stones. The steps are still not right. First, the steps were poured to the wrong dimension. To repair the situation, instead of removing and replacing the steps, contractor decided to "add-on" to the step. When I asked how that would work, he kept talking about the cream. Two weeks later, the steps cracked. He also sealed the concrete steps, getting sealant on the patio itself. He said he would contact us in September of '08 to replace the steps. Haven't heard from him yet. We have not paid the invoice in full.
