Integrity Heating & Air Conditioning

Brad the owner of Integrity Heating & Air conditioning did NOT provide me an estimate (written or verbal) nor did he provide work order listing parts and of services to be performed beforehand. He did say the invoice was back on his desk. To my shame, I relied on recommendation from my neighbor who had similar job done for cash for $280. My research for the components they have used (at Menards retail prices) were just under $400. so I figured maybe around $200-$300 labor the total would be in the $600-$800 range since I supplied and had already installed the Heater into the garage ceiling and hooked up its electrical wiring and fished the thermostat wire. Brad only had to install 30' of black pipe, 25' of flex gas pipe and 15' of roof vent. Afterward Brad texted me for $1776.25 as a 15% discounted cash price! I protested then what I still think is an outrageous price and requested an itemized invoice that arrived 3 days later for $1601.82. Which also listed 10 hours labor at $72 per hour and that they used 40' of black pipe. This job took less than 4 hours. They arrived at 9am and were driving off at 1pm. Prior to hiring Integrity (farce) I had already received email quotes from local HVAC businesses, so as to gauge whether to hire or do it myself. I then decided to go with the professional at a cash discount. 1 quote from area Berken HVAC was $1700 complete WITH a furnace included! 1 quote from Bob's Quality HVAC company was $900-$1100 for a Installation of customer supplied heater, to include gas line, electrical hookup, thermostat install and vent pipe through roof. 1 quote from Blount HVAC company was $1000 flat rate for installation of customer supplied heater, It all comes down to you can't trust anything not in writing beforehand. Lesson learned and I burned my bridges with this Business and his associates. I paid out $1600 for what should have been a $750 job at most. He did not look out for this customers best interest, beware that he looks out for yours! At worst a crook, at best an opportunist, either way he decidedly deceived me.
