This has been an absolute horror show of contracting, I Hired ARC to do my Rubber Flat roof replacement with a foam taper to help give it pitch. They tried to rush the job in the late fall and showed up unannounced to deliver the install materials but didn't bring the main part the Taper system then said due COVID and supply chain it wouldn't be until March or April before it was in stock. End of April still haven't heard back so I called them and they acted like oh yeah it's been here I don't know why no one called yet. Now Here we are ½ way through the roof replacement that should have taken 2 days and my kids bedroom is leaking water because they only had 2 guys doing the job and they only got ½ the roof done and didn't manage to get it sealed or as the Appleton Manager Ryan told me dried in. They knew a storm was due to roll through tonight and didn't ensure the job was done right or even close to at all.

Terrible. It started out putting metal bar ice stops on our metal rood during spring then months later they came to install them and turned out they orders the wrong bars. So another month and they said they couldn't do the bars so they were going to do individual ice stops. Then because instead of being spring and it was late fall I couldn't get the stick on ones due to the cold so the one they could put on required 4 screws for each ice stop which are every 2 feet and 2 rows. I was told each ice stop would have a gasket between the roof and the ice stop to prevent water leaking. when they were installed them they only put a bead of silicone caulk between the roof and ice stop. I requested a drop in the price when they said they were putting on different ice stop because the bars are more expense. They wouldn't respond until the worker showed up at my door to do them and I refused them to do it until I got a reduction in price. now I have to worry if we will have water issues later that make us have to replace a metal roof that I shouldn't have to but need to due to all the holes in it.

I would call what we experienced with ARC horrible customer service but quite frankly you can't even call it customer service of any kind. We had a storm blow through our town on July 29th and had quite a bit of damange to our garage, roof, eaves, etc and called ARC per a recommendation of a neighbor just a couple days later. What a mistake that was! We had someone stop out to "do a quote". Our insurance company has been waiting for the quote "he would finish that week" but nothing. My husband left 6 messages total in the last 4 weeks alone. Not only on his cell phone but also with the receptionist who informed him that there is nobody else he could speak with. He doesn't seem to have time for even a return call. I understand you are busy, but don't promise a quote that you OBVIOUSLY never intended on completing when you are aware the insurance company was waiting. A simple, "We don't have time for this" could have been easy enough to say instead of making promises and then ignoring us. Also, we don't appreciate waiting while we don't have the eaves or roof taken care of for all of this time. We will be utilizing another contractor and I will be sure to let friends and family know so others know to contact anyone but ARC contracting if they need work done.

I absolutely would NOT recommend this company to anyone, EVER. We never received a correct estimate on our order, as we had changed from a regular sliding patio door to French doors. The customer service is incredibly terrible. We would call every day and were sent to Alex's voicemail. It took months before someone finally told us he didn't work there anymore. Why wouldn't the secretary update us on that? Why would she continually send us to his voicemail, knowing that no one was checking it or going to get back to us? Months later, they installed the wrong doors. Someone named Will spoke with me, and made it sound like he was the owner, and assured me he would order our correct doors immediately. When asked how he would make this right, that he didn't want a bad review. That made me irate. I asked if we would be compensated in some way for the inconvenience, he said the only thing they would do, is "eat the cost of the French door". A month later we get a call from someone we had never heard of or worked with before, telling us that he JUST ordered our door that day, a month later. We called constantly, and were promised someone would get back to us the next day. It took several days for someone to get back to us, and unfortunately we didn't get out of work until 4 pm, which we were incredibly clear about. Yet we would get calls from employees around 8am, when were working and couldn't answer the phone. They almost never left voice messages, and when we would call at 4pm after we got done with work, we were told that they had left for the day, even though the hours are listed as being open until 5pm. When we were finally able to get ahold of someone, we told them that the doors would have to be installed on a weekday after 4pm, otherwise on a Saturday. We were told Saturdays didn't work, and we would have to get off of work to get the doors installed. After it was installed, it wasn't working properly, so we had to play phone tag again for a week, to get someone to come fix it. Again, we would not be home until after 4pm, so they would have to wait until then. We were assured that they would make that work. We got a call around 8am on the day of service, saying that the carpenter was there, at our house, at 8am!!!!!! We had to make arrangements so that we could get there at noon. And when it came time for payment, I asked again for an itemized receipt so we knew what we were paying for. I was sent a letter saying that we had windows done, no mention of the doors and no prices anywhere. I called and asked for an itemized receipt and received a copy of paperwork we already had, that listed the windows, no mention of the French doors, and again no prices. An itemized receipt contains 5 pieces of information: "the name of the person who received the service, the provider that delivered the service, the date when services were provided or the item was purchased, a detailed description of the service provided or the item purchased, and the amount paid for the service or product." We only got information regarding our name (the client) and the provider's name. No date and time of service, no DETAILED list of items and no cost. Finally, I called and told them I was going to the office so someone would have to meet with me, I was done playing phone tag. Unsurprisingly, everyone was in a meeting, so I had to wait. When someone did meet with me he brought out the book for pricing, yet did not let me see the prices. When asked about the difference on the price for sliding patio door and French doors, he told me that the French doors were $500 more. So they "ate the cost of the French door". Considering that our bill was around $10,000, the difference that they were "eating" is only 5%. That hardly seems like some compensation for the constant struggle and lack of customer service or care. No company, ever should talk to an angry customer about getting a good review. If a company actually took care of the customer and their needs, good reviews would happen organically. This company does not care about their customers, they just want the money, and will play phone tag with you.

I paid 50% from ~5k contract, waited for 4 months to get the repair start date until it got cold and had to cancel the contract then. Besides that, for the money I paid I had to call them about 20 times to get at least approximate date of my roof repair. Every time on the phone I was told that I would certainly get a call back and it happened about 2 times out of ~10 calls. I got my down-payment back from my first request, but I've lost the opportunity to fix my roof during this year and I got no single sorry from them for that, just a silent check back to my mailing box. Terrible experience! Also, when you look for reviews for this company on this website or others, take a look carefully. I'm not sure what that is but some people got very disappointed and they have a story like me or even worse, but all others mostly have a 5 stars review..

We had an AWFUL experience with ARC contracting. We hired them to install a new curbless shower. We had numerous issues with install, including them putting the drain in the wrong spot initially, and then the frameless door we ordered (which wasn't frameless at all) was wrong, so we had to wait weeks before we could even use our brand new shower. They wrecked the drywall behind the shower, along with some trim work and told me it was my issue to fix (luckily we got them to come fix it) Finally we got everything fixed to how it was supposed to be, and were told we'd get the rest of the bill put onto our financing. (Half was paid up front, half was to be put on after job was finished)..needless to say we never got billed for the other half. After numerous phone conversations with them about it where they promised to send out a bill 3 times we never got a bill. Instead, because this has gone on so long we got a notice that we were in collections because we haven't paid the bill (hard to pay when I don't get the bill!!!). We get in touch with ARC again, and of course by now the project manager, and the man we discussed the bill with on the phone no longer work for them (go figure) so nobody has recollection of this being talked about. We end up getting screwed out of another $2000 due to the fact that collections was now involved, along with interest that had accrued. Devon in the office is who I was emailing, and she agreed to drop the interest if I had paid the bill (along with $1000 for collections notice), but I had 3 days to do it. I had questions and she ignored every email and phone call I had until those 3 days were up. I will NEVER recommend this shady company to anybody. They do awful work, and do not hold true to their "accountable, reliable, committed to excellence" BS slogan

Everything went wrong....tooks almost 2 mo to start....work was all subcontracted out which we were told they NEVER sub contract. did not replace the rotten wood like they said they do...ran out of siding...left a bucket worth of nails and screws and scraps of metal in my yard. Straight out LIED about being able to refinance with them when the 18mo is up so now we are screwed with a giant loan we cant refinance with them because THEY DO NOT DO THAT!!!

ARC quoted the job We signed the contract on 4/11/18 gave $1933 down payment check Financed the rest They came out a week later to measure and order the doors. We were told about 2 weeks to make the doors and about 2more weeks until installation. On 5/10 I received a notice the first payment was due so I decided to call ARC to find out the status of our job. After being run around for 3 days and multiple calls and voicemails left, I told her I would hold to speak to someone. After a lengthy delay Chad finally came on the line and told me bluntly "We cancelled your job, Why would we take a job we lose money on" I said that you should stand by the contract because it was your mistake and you should honor it. He said he would send my check back (they already cashed it 2 weeks ago} and "take care of" the finance company. No apology for THEIR MISTAKE or further explanation or compensation. The whole thing is just horribly managed. I don't know when they planned on telling me this but they should have at least told me when the order was placed for the doors. They cashed my check and took the money from the finance company (Green Sky} without ever even having the doors made. The worst part is the condescending way he stated it turning it into my fault because I didn't read the contract close enough. Business 101 these days don't take responsibility for your mistake blame the victim. Arc owners Read the story of Jesus throwing the money changers out of the temple for putting money before God. Who are you in that story? Sorry no pictures since they did absolutely zero work.

A contract was signed in mid-September with a deposit. The work was promised for three to four weeks, around mid-October. After repeated calls, the work was scheduled for November 6th. The materials arrived on Monday, November 6th, but without the roofers. After calling ARC, I was told the roofers would be on the site later that day or first thing Tuesday morning. Two sub-contract roofers finally showed up Tuesday afternoon at 2:00PM. These roofers were there to reroof the garage, but not the porch. Meanwhile, a ARC representative showed up later Tuesday afternoon and I asked him to check on when the porch was to be completed. After several calls, he found out the the porch roof was scheduled for sometime the following week. I told him that this was a summer vacation home and the plumbing needed to drained and winterized before Thursday, Nov.9th when the temperature was expected to fall to 10 degrees. He said they would try to get in contact with the scheduler. After several calls to their office, they said they could not come until the following week. I told them this was unacceptable and the the work would have to wait until next spring. They said okay. The reason that I hired them was for their expertice with TPO roofing for the porch. I have been having problems with the porch leaking and I really wanted to get it fixed before winter. The garage was not critical and could wait. They finished the reroofing the garage on Thursday, Nov. 9th with one inch of snow on the ground. The garage roof looked good from the ground level. I just hope the shingles seal well.
Description of Work: Needed the porch addition roof torn off, fix the sag in the middle, and reroof with a special material (TPO). Also the garage needed a tear off and reshingled, along with the facia replaced.

I left a voicemail with Amber who typed up all the information for my complaint and she gave the information to Jesse Chase. The date of the contract was for them to begin the work on November 28th of last year and to complete the work by December 20th. The work was started on January 12th and completed on January 18th. They didn't even begin the work until after the completion date had passed. I said to the PM Grant that what if I had breached the terms of the contract? Grant said he would file a lawsuit. I am suing the company for $2000 for breach of contract. Jesse Chase gave me a call and left a voicemail. I called back the next day and left my name and number and that was in February and he has never returned the call since. When I left the message with Amber for Jesse Chase I let her know that I had filed a law suit and I also contacted the media. The job took less than 10 hours to complete which is what confuses me. I don't know why they delayed the project so much for so little work. The workers were great but I had a big problem with the project manager Grant Wallsworth and his supervisor Wyatt Fisher. It took a total of 52 days before the job was completed.

Upfront Promises 1. Nails per shingle will be 6. I was home on day 1 and listened to the roofers work. The person on the East Side was putting in only 5. Those on the West end varied between 4 and 5. I am not sure how much that matters but the expectation was set at 6. I will be reviewing this with the inspector for PNC. 2. Shingles and nails will be picked up, usually hourly. The place was a disaster. During day 1, nobody was walking around picking up anything. Even at the end of day 1, not everything was picked up. 3. Everything will be covered while roofing and shingles will be taken down in one or two spots. Shingles were falling from everywhere. Only part of my deck was covered. My pool was not covered and had shingles and asphalt lying on top of my good cover. My good tractor was covered with shingles and nails. 4. Layout of Downspouts ? We had discussions about adding a downspout by the front door. Apparently there was a misunderstanding that I was supposed to call Phil back about the addition. In any case I had a real concern on getting the gutters sloped better to get the water away from that transition. If I had not stopped at home that day and run into the installers, they would have never known about my concern. We also had to piece in one downspout because of access issues. 5. Communication ? We had no idea when anything was going to happen. We would get an email that we were scheduled for a date and then that date would come and nobody would show up and no email saying ARC would not be there. Then a few days or weeks later you get another email. It really became a standing joke in our house when the next email would come and how wrong it would be. 1. Fireplace Vent Cover Installed ? I have asked at least 5 times where the cover is at. Here I sit on 6/27 with no cover yet. Other Issues 1. OSHA Inspection ? I am not at home and my wife is on the phone freaking out with the inspector at the front door. 2. Nails ? The nails never did get picked up. Even after the past meeting with Phil when we showed him the bucket the kids picked up off the driveway and front porch area; he promised to come and pick them up himself. We have picked up the nails best we could. We have had one flat tire on my wife?s car so far. 3. Siding ? The wrong color siding was ordered initially. When the siding finally arrived, 4 different colors of siding were delivered to my yard. 4. Siding ? After the siding finally got done, a piece of siding fell off the house and was lying on the ground. I have never heard of siding just falling off your house after installation. I will be bringing in another company to do an inspection on this work. 5. Air Conditioner ? Our air conditioner would not power up and run this summer. After spending hours tracking the signal and power out to the unit itself, I found that they removed the connection bar on the 208V box outside when they installed the siding. In addition, they broke the co-flex going to the unit so they tried to tape it back together and then cover it with a piece of siding so nobody would see it. The most unprofessional thing I have ever seen!!! The also cracked the shield on the primary line coming from the house to the unit distribution box.

So glad Chris knocked on my door and offered a free roof inspection! He was instrumental in getting my insurance company to pay for a full roof replacement, plus extra funds to pressure wash my deck, paint water damage inside the house, and paint outside surfaces pockmarked by the hail. And the installation was fast, painless and professional! Thanks to the whole team at ARC!

Excellent experience. The project manager was exceptionally thorough, polite and easy to contact--he returned calls promptly. Before the insurance adjuster arrived, Mr. Youngers, the project manager had inspected our entire property using a video to record all the damage--not just to the roof. When the insurance adjuster arrived, all he really had to do was follow Mr. Youngers about and confirm the damage. It went so smoothly and quickly. While waiting for the insurance check, I was able to call and ask questions any time and when it was time to replace the roof, it was done well with a minimum of mess and the ARC project manager checked up on the progress of the roof. When we paid the balance due, the corresponding receipt and paperwork arrived in the mail in a very timely manner. I don't think I have ever had a home repair that was as hassle free as this experience.

It went well. The crew was in and out in two days. They were very conscientious and cleaned up after the work was complete. The only minor issue was with cleanup in between days. We had nails in the drive that could have caused issues. It was likely the result of a storm that ended day 1 work early.

Our house and roof was riddled by hail from the hail storm that hit San Antonio, Texas in April 2016. We contacted Ryan Nowak from ARC Construction and asked him inspect our roof and sky lights for damage caused by the hail. After our initial phone conversation with our insurance company, Ryan took over and met with the insurance adjuster to ensure the insurance adjuster was aware of all damage to the roof, sky lights and inside the house where the hail had broken through the sky lights. Ryan explained what the insurance company was going to cover and what materials his company was going to use and when they were going to start. The roofing crew and materials arrived as promised. The roofing crew did an awesome job and the shingles looks great as well as the "no seam" gutter that was replaced as well. Upon completion the roofing crew walked around the house twice and picked up any debris and nails that hit the ground. Ryan, contacted the insurance company upon completion of the job and handled all the paperwork required from the insurance company. "AWESOME JOB" IF YOU NEED A COMPANY FOR ROOFING CALL THESE GUYS
Description of Work: After contacting our insurance company initially, ARC handled all communication with the insurance company from then on. Ryan Nowak, Sales Director from ARC Contracting met with the insurance adjuster to ensure that the insurance adjuster was made aware of all the damage to the roof and house. The roofing crew stripped the old shingles from the roof and replaced them with 50 year shingles. The gutters along the front of the house were removed and replaced with a no seam gutter. The roofing crew and gutter technicians walked around the house to ensure all debris and nails were picked up.

Just a note to show my appreciation for the ARC Restoration & Contracting Company. They completed the hail damage work in a timely fashion and even spent their time working with my insurance company to get the full amount of the claim. The insurance company was not following through and ARC people caused that to happen. All work was satisfactory and the ARC inspector, Quicken Loans inspector and myself all were pleased with the final results. I would give special thanks to my project manager Brad and Wyatt for their efforts as well as Brian who did some installation work. A BIG thanks to all.

They were wonderful from start to finish. Wyatt gave us our estimate, spent time with us while we picked out our shingles and explained the process. The crew showed up on time and had the entire project completed and cleaned up in a day. We highly recommend ARC!
