Russ's Tree Service

I called and they said that they diagnose issues with trees for residential, I agree to $25 consult fee and they said they would come same week and never did. I called the next week to follow up, and they said that it was too late in the year to treat my tree and that they were too "backed up" anyway.

They came late at night for emergency, around 9:30 to 10:00 in the evening to get the tree off the road. The next day they came back to clear off the yard and the big trunk was 5 feet high, and they cut it all off and grind off the stump as well. Very professional and very good people. With very reasonable price for a great service that they've provided, well worth it.

They were prompt and did a good job. They've cut down trees for us in the past at another property, and we've always been satisfied with their work.

They worked in a professional coordinated manner. They seemed to have all the state of the art equipment. It was incredible to watch. They efficiently removed the trees and during the process discovered a problem with one of our maples. Russ immediately brought it to our attention and discussed our options. We truly respected his knowledge. During Russ's visit when he prepared our estimate' we were very impressed with his knowledge of the trees. He could not remove some roots because it would damage the tree. He noted an infestation in one tree and a severe crack in one large limb. He pointed out some invasive plants and recommended ways to address the issues. They cut all the logs into 18 inch segments and cleaned up the yards before leaving. In all respects, it was a pleasure having them work at our home. We feel the cost was very reasonable and the results were outstanding.

We are extremely satisfied with the work performed. We were contacted by phone when the crew would arrive.They completed the job in three hours including clean up and raking of the area. Everyone on the work crew was courteous and friendly. We have already recommended the company to our neighbor.

We called for an ordered of firewood and it was delivered in the afternoon. What great service! They dumped the fireword exactly where we requested. We ordered kiln dried wood. This was a little more expensive but well worth it. We have had three fires and could not be happier. Excellent service and very happy about the wood we recieved. We recieved a face cord which was really a lot of wood. Very happy and will use them in the future. $175.00 for a face cord, kiln dried, and delivered. Could not find a better quality deal.

We had an 80' silver maple tree in our yard which was beginning to buckle the driveway, so we decided to have it removed. We contacted three tree services for bids. Russ Tree Service was one of them, as we have had them do work for us before and have been happy with their work. They had the best bid of the three, plus we knew the quality of their work, so we chose them. They did the job well start to finish, just as we expected they would. They had the necessary equipment and expertise to remove a tree the size of this one. They cleaned up all the branches and scraps. We asked them to leave some of the wood for us, and they left several cords of useable wood cut into 16-inch long pieces. We also ended up with some mulch for our yard. All in all, we were very pleased and would do business with them again.

I first called a couple of years ago for an estimate on tree trimming. I talked to a lady,not very polite, and said they will call back with a time for estimate. A couple of weeks passed, heard nothing. I sent a couple Emails, but no response back. I had some one else do the work for me. I need some more trimming done, and thought I would give them another try. This time I just went to the web site and explained what I wanted done and to contact me by phone or Email. Again weeks have passed and no response. On their web site it says you will hear from us in 24 hours. I can understand if they are busy or don't want to do the work, but could at least let me know.

Called to have them come over for an estimate to clean up branches and grind five stumps. First thing out of the lady who answered the phone was, "You don't live in Big Bend, do you, because there's too many stones and rocks in that area". Proceeded to tell her what I needed and only received "uh-huh, yeah, uh-huh". A person did come out to look around. Over two weeks passed and I had to call to follow up on where an estimate was. Again, the same lady answered, and all I got was, "well that person has gone hunting, so there's not much we can do". I thanked her and told her I was going to choose someone else.

Nice job. Just Russ and one other guy. They cleaned everything up and only left a little-ish pile of dirt and shavings where the stump was. A few divots in the yard where the tree fell, but that's just what happens. They were kind enough to use their bucket lift to string a new rope up my flag pole while they were here. No extra charge. I really appreciated that.
