Description of Work: Provider sent us a message and I called him as his message stated. I left my # and he still didn't call back. He sent a text instead stating that he denied my job. I called him again and he still didn't pick up. I asked why he denied a job we never had a chance to discuss and he told me he's just too busy. I did give him a timeframe of when I wanted the work done, but let him know I wasn't in a rush. He basically told me he's too busy. Very un-professional.

Description of Work: I had a simple enough problem that needed fixing: Five years ago we had minor water seepage in our finished basement (an office, full bath, and pantry) and had the bottom 3 ft of drywall replaced. The drywall guys removed all the trim molding, doors, and bathroom cabinets (all of which had no damage) and put it off to the side. It all sat incomplete until last September when I decided to take advantage of Angie's Big Deal for general contractor work for a day ($339). | |Nick from High Quality Contracting came out and I talked about what needed to be done. We decided that all the trim (other than a few pieces which had some water damage) was reusable but would needed to be sanded and stained/varnished. The walls were still half painted/half replaced drywall and all rooms would have to be painted. I told Nick I would take care of the trim sanding/staining and the painting and I would contact him to set up a time for High Quality Contracting to come out and finish the rest. | |Of course nothing goes as you plan and due to illness and then a death in the family, I had to keep asking Nick to hold off as I wasn't getting the sanding/staining/painting work done. Nick was more than accommodating and told me whenever I'm ready to let him know... that they could fit me in in-between jobs or if weather alters other jobs. Man, that was such a relief. | |When I was finally ready for High Quality Contracting (in February 2014), they fit me in shortly after contacting them. The whole crew were great bunch of guys and anytime they had a question or wanted my opinion they didn't hesitate to ask me which made the whole process more personal... not just get in/get out. To me it was a minor job yet they made me feel like it was a big deal to them to get everything just right. They did a great job. I would not hesitate to use them again. | |Thanks Nick.

Description of Work: Enclosed an addition and put the windows in. Great to work with and did a great job. Very professional and had a great crew.

Description of Work: The owner came to our home, went up on the roof, and inspected it for any potential problems since winter was on the way. What a winter it was! |He also inspected our chimney & placed fresh tar around to seal out the weather. We were very happy with his service.

Description of Work: It was a Big Deal for $99 for Roof Winterization Tune-Up Including Sealing .

Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $339.00 for a general contractor for a day. He did a lot of caulking work for me. They did do the original work very good. He took a picture of the kitchen faucet and he was going to follow up with me and he did not as it needs replaced.

Description of Work: Nick and team replaced split deck boards. All work was done on time and within budget. Very professional. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Performed framing in our bathroom. Was efficient, and very accomidating to my schedule. Will use them again for other projects.

Description of Work: Nick Wegner told me he could not do the Big Deal because my roof has an extremely steep pitch and it would require him to attach boards to stand on which would increase the time it took to do the job and increase the danger to whoever did the work. Upon examining the steepness I agreed with him and you returned my money. Since I had a small leak in my entranceway I asked Nick if he could try to locate the problem. He agreed and charged me nothing for the service. He found some shoddy workmanship done by those who roofed the house ( chimney caps and roofing gaps ) and I asked if he could fix them and he said he would try and if any problems cropped up during the winter he would be glad to come back. We are very satisfied with his work.

Description of Work: High Quality removed the existing roofing on our 20-year old two story home and replaced it along with removing the existing gutters and installing new seamless gutters and downspouts. The job was done in one to two days and we were very pleased with Nick and his crew. We are working with the company to replace our storm and patio doors and have no hesitation in contracting with them again.
