 + -1 moreThey came over about a week or less after we called. Trimmed all the trees we needed and they made some suggestions which we accepted. They cleaned up everything really well. I'd definitely recommend them. They did a nice job.

Description of Work: Things went very well. Had a number of people in that did not want to trim this very large honey locust because of its location to a power line and & house and its sudden orange/tan discoloration of several branches last 2 yrs. A few turned downed the job or referred it to another party to handle the job. Dakins' carefully worked around the tree and power line, using his truck & lift, dissecting it by sections. |Also trimmed out a very large Silver Maple that had large branches growing towards some large pines and a shed. |Total cost $675.00 |Owner teaching a younger crew expert business. |Crew manager directed his crew on what branches to take in what order and the crew cleaned up the area, efficiently and left us a few logs for camp fires. Thank you so much for your hard work and great job!

Description of Work: Dakins removed three trees, including the stumps. The also trimmed several large branches of my neighbor's Spruce that was trying to take over part of my front yard. We will be calling them again in 2016 to remove part of a Maple tree that is coming very close to our house. Should have done it last year, but we like trees! | |Dakins also looked at two trees that looked a little "shopworn". They advised the problem wasn't a contagion, but was most likely caused by the drought a couple of years ago. | |Nice people who will work with you!

 + -1 moreWe were referred to Dakins by a family member who had a tree cut down. We had 4 large trees that we wanted removed, and they said they would come out for an estimate. Since it was not a pressing need, I left it alone and figured we were too far away when it had been 4 weeks and still no one had showed. The guy just showed up on a Sunday, and gave us a written estimate. It did not include stump removal, he said he did not do that. We decided to go with them, and they were very accommodating on scheduling dates to come out. He said it would take 2 days, and we preferred to have someone home due to the size and location of the trees. They did not show up until after 10 am the first workday, around 930 the 2nd. By then end of day 2, only half of the trees had been removed. It took about 10 days to have all of the debris removed. I believe that they cut the trees for 4 days and due to weather, could not come and take any of the wood. I feel like they underbid us, and we got an amazing deal. They quoted us about half of what another provider estimated.

 + -1 moreWe have used them a few times, both scheduled and emergency. They were willing to negotiate a convenient off-hours time for an estimate and did not pressure us for an immediate contract. When we did set up the job they were able to work around our schedule. In an emergency situation, (limb fell on our roof) they responded with a crew within a half hour. After one tree removal I asked what they would charge to haul off a brush pile and twenty dollars and ten minutes later it was gone. A definite bargain. We would use them again and have recommended them to others.
Description of Work: Tree removal - 30'. Brush removal. Emergency fallen limb removal. Tree health evaluation. Tree removal - 60'.
