Most insightful contractor I've ever worked with. Finished product surpass expectations.

The first time Chris worked for us, he was excellent. The second time when he did the bathroom work, his workmanship was just as good but his business dealings were lacking. He kept adding on to his original estimate, and he often called that he couldn't come when he had made arrangements to do work. Finally, he was suppose to return to complete the finishing details (put up towel bar etc.), but he never responded to our calls.

We believe that the project was more than Chris Hamilton was qualified for. Chris estimated the job would take 5-7 days. If Chris had worked full time on the room that might have been possible: it took 11 days. That would have been acceptable if the work had been completed expertly. The sink overlaps the toilet tank, the tile on the floor is crooked and the grout is cracking, and after almost a year of re-caulking and trouble-shooting, we established that the shower frame was installed inside out and upside down. The bathroom was completed and paid for in July. In October the electrician called saying they had not been paid: I faxed them Brew City's invoice showing I'd paid Chris for the electrical work (and it was $165 more than the electrician said they were owed). Chris called me after the electrician contacted him and I explained that he owed the electrician. Chris has not returned our calls asking for help or advice since. Last week we had to dismantle our entire shower frame and re-install it. It was obvious to us, when the unit was in pieces, that at some point Chris must have realized it wasn't installed right because there are several notches made, holes drilled in the metal, and hardware not belonging to the kit (and hardware missing) that indicate Chris was trying to force it together incorrectly rather than figure out how to do it right. When the project was done, we felt we were still on good terms and even considered having Chris back to do some work in our kitchen. The billing and the shower issues changed that: we would never use or recommend Chris again.
