Bill's Land Survey Service

Bill is hands done one of the BEST people we have worked with. He is kind, patient, pleasant, respectful, calls/texts you back when he says he would (texting is best - he is BUSY!), makes time when he doesn’t have it, very professional, and when something isn’t being understood (I don’t know survey terminology and am not the best at explaining) he takes time to ask/answer ANY questions you have or clarification he needs (and doesn’t make you feel dumb for asking or not knowing). We’ve used his services 3 times now, and as long as he is in business, we will keep using him! Highly, highly recommended!!!

Bill did an excellent job finding and marking my property boundary for a fence. He was very thorough and even double checked to ensure accuracy. I would highly recommend him. He will be the one I contact if I need any further work done.

I found Bill on Angie's List and HE WAS GREAT! ...as opposed to other surveyors we have worked with recently. Bill was very responsive, highly professional and incredibly well-priced. I am not a relative or friend of Bill but he should be cloned. I have used Angie;s List since it was founded and Bill is one of the best service providers we have had the pleasure to know!

Of the three surveyors I contacted, Bill was the only one who seemed interested in the job. It can take him a few days (in one case almost a week) to respond, but he's fine with texting so there was no waiting around for a phone call or logging on to check e-mail. The quote was reasonable and clear, and his sense of when he could get the job in turned out to be pretty conservative: he'd said "the first couple of weeks in July" but he got to the property at the end of June and I had the survey maps in hand by July 5th. The work is old-school professional, as were all of our communications. I also thought the price was fair: the rate was reasonable, the hours made sense, he didn't bill me for putting in a rebar stake, and there was no trip charge. Overall I found working with Bill very easy once I figured out that he wasn't going to snap off a reply to every text the same day. (Other surveyors either didn't reply at all or strung me along and then said they didn't want the job.) I would definitely hire him again.

Bill originally quoted me back in fall 2017 right after I purchased my house. I wanted to install a fence right away but was unable to start the project until spring 2019. I asked Bill to update the quote and he said he would honor his 2017 quote. My property already had a plat with measurements to house, so didn't need that. I mainly needed the yard marked so that I know without guessing exactly where the property lines are. I was home when Bill started, but went out with my family after he started since he told us we do not need to be around for him to work. This was nice as we were wanting to celebrate my son's birthday and Bill's work did not interfere. When I came home Bill was finished and I was able to identify my property lines without issue. Bill is a one man team so when he is busy he may be difficult to schedule. Other than that he did very good work and was very much worth it.

Bill did an excellent job surveying the south side of my property. He was prompt, courteous and came back a second time when I asked to have an additional stake placed. I am very satisfied.

We used Bill back in 2013 when we bought our first home, he was prompt and did a great job. We just bought our second home and needed his services again, initially he wasn't able to make it out until the 28th of July but had an opening and came out the 21st of July. Again was prompt and did another great job.

Bill was very reasonable in pricing, EXTREAMILY PROFESSIONAL! very easy to work with. He sent us 3 wonderful copies of the Property Survey. We took it to the city inspector and are now on our way to getting the fence up :)

Bill was awesome at getting back to us quickly and giving us a quote. Also he was able to get out to the property in a timely. The work was great and the fence company had no problem finding the boundaries of the property that he marked.

I called them on the phone. I was told to email the information over. I did not get a response. After a week, I called and left a message. I never got a response. I called back again, today, and was not able to reach them.

Well. Bill did a nice job for a reasonable price. The price below included placing stakes in the ground as well as showing structures on the property.

Bill did a great job communicating scope of services offered, time line and final product. He uses GPS along with good old fashioned shovel. Found all of the old markers. Overall timeline from quotation to completion about 4 weeks.

Mr. Karpen was kind and professional. He did a wonderful job on the survey and I would highly recommend him to anyone who may need a survey completed.

Bill completed the survey we needed at a lower price than the other company I called. He was courteous and professional. The completed survey arrived about a week later than expected, which is understandable since this is a busy time of year.

Good, just took about 1.5 months in its entirety from start to finish. Markers are very easy to see and Bill was very thorough! Different price points, we chose the basic option.

Bill was very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He placed two new markers and uncovered the other two originals. He also provided us with three certified originals of the survey. His price was fair and we were very satisfied.

Great. Very pleased. Bill communicated clearly and was responsive. Spend probably six hours on site. Very detailed and thorough in his work, finding the proverbial "needle in a haystack" markers from a previous survey 10+ years prior. His survey plat was very detailed - exceeded my expectations. Price wise I expected $700-800, and Bill came in at $955, but I am very pleased with the results. Worth the additional spend.

Bill was outstanding He contacted us almost immediately and, in a short time, we had an agreeable proposal. Bill took care of the actual work on Friday, November 4, 2016. He was very professional, courteous and explained everything he was going in great detail. In our opinion, jis price was very reasonable.
