Description of Work: I have used Water Tech the last two years to close my in-ground pool. They are priced well and have preformed all services they advertised. I will continue to use Water Tech in the future for pool closing services.

I should have known this was not going to go well right away. I am emailed John asking for pricing and scheduling for a pool opening and bi weekly maintenance. He did my closing last year. He quoted me $250 for the opening and $100 a month plus chemicals for the maintenance. Sounded good I said let me know when he can open it. No response for a week when I follow up he says he already told me next Friday (5/29). OK no harm no foul sounds good. Next Friday rolls around and my father is there when he opens it and he informs him that the pool looks terrible and I did not close the pool late enough (10/9) and I opened it to late. Never mind he never said when I scheduled the closing last year that I should wait. Fine again. So I get a paypal invoice for 305.50 not 250. Ok I figure it looked bad it needed extra chemicals no big deal lesson learned for next time. I paid the invoice immediately. I go home that night to check out the pool and it still looks awful there is a ton of dirt at the bottom and the the water is murky. Again not overly concerned yet I figured the robot needed some time and the chemicals might take a day or so to clear up the water. Now Monday comes around my robot got clogged up because according to the repair place I was trying to suck up way to much dirt and large debris. I email John now concerned at most annoyed he said it was bad but it should be fine and there must be something wrong with my system. He says he will be out the next day (6/3). All day goes by and I email and call him around 5 thinking that he is running late. Nope completely blew me off. Did not give me a heads up that he will not be coming out nor did he call to apologize for not showing up. Instead I get an email saying he was stuck in Illinois yesterday and I am on his list for tomorrow and if that does not work for me he understands if I hire someone else to finish. Now I am upset. I can understand that the pool was worse than expected even though he made it sound like I should have expected it given how late I closed and opened the pool. I kinda thought it was weird that I should have known the pool was going to look bad because I had him open and close the pool late but he did not know it when he was quoting me and he was doing all of the work. I was not upset knowing that there was going to be another trip charge and more chemicals needed. Fine it is was it is. What bothers me the most is after all of this he blows me off and does not even show or call to reschedule. When he does contact me he informs me that he has bigger issues and I should contact someone else. then goes on to read me his resume, years of experience and how he is busy training people internationally. Since this I have called a few companies and they all said John has a history of doing this. It also turns out that my neighbors had the EXACT thing happen and it took him a month to get it right. On advice from my neighbor I called a company The Mosquito and Pool Guys last night and they were out at my house this morning and the pool looks GREAT! They also treated my back yard for mosquitoes. They informed me that he did not vacuum or scrub enough also did not use enough chemicals. So far I can not ask for better service. I do not mind paying for service I just ask that a company should do everything they say they will. If you say your going to open a pool open it. If things go wrong and it costs more fine. If you say you are going to come out come out. In Wisconsin there isn't much time to waste when it comes to summer. Some of my favorites from John: and quot;Yes, I did say I was going to come back, but I am stuck in Illinois dealing with bigger issues. All service disclaimers are on my website.and quot; and quot;I train pool builders across the country on how to properly install pool equipment, and I represent an international manufacturer. Thanks for all of your support I hope someone takes money from you in the future.and quot;

Response from Water Tech, LLC
While it is true I rescheduled a return service trip (extra charge, additional invoice) due to workload, it is also true that [member name removed] disputed his entire bill through Paypal (even though the service was complete). So now he will get a refund on all the additional chemicals in the water and the service provided. He has continued to harass me through voicemail and email, and he is getting free service and chemicals. He also accused me of stealing parts he never had on his pool. He knows that he is not just in disputing his bill, admitted to knowing that he would have to pay an additional invoice. I continually asked for him to stop the harassing emails, yet he continued to personally attack and insult me. Speaks to his character

My hot tub pump was leaking and I found Water tech on the internet. I sent them an email and John Lecher called me. He was responsive and upfront. I would recommend him to anyone who needs Spa service.
