While Dave was great communicating when onsite, we didn't hear about the delay in start (which affected other contractor start dates we already lined up) until we reached out to him to confirm. When they began framing, the frame was too short and not where our old patio had ended. Dave gladly moved it out, but told us that this is not where our old patio ended (which it was because we took before photos and measured). The lesson here is to always review the work as they are going, as if we didn't say anything, our patio would have been too short and our deck box would not have fit under the window where it was before. I will preface the rest of this feedback by saying that I'm a firm believer in leaving someone home the way you find it and that I'm a detail-oriented person by nature. I was disappointed at how ruined our grass was afterwords. At the beginning, they told us they would lay down boards so the impact on the grass from driving on it would be minimal, however, when they left, it looked like there were never even boards laid down and we now need to invest the money to fix the lawn on the entire side of our house. I was also disappointed in the border coloring. The woman was not friendly when I went out to confirm everything with her and it ended up very sloppy (drip marks in spots, pools of color in other spots). The coloring on the side of the stairs is also very sloppy and not even. Lastly, they drilled into our siding to brace the stair frame and never even told us. While I understand that it might have been necessary, it would have been great for them to tell us about it or caulk back up the holes when they were done. For this kind of money, I think the small details matter as much as the big ones and I was not impressed from that standpoint.

Excellent - despite anticipated weather delays, Dave and Tracy Turner and team did an exceptional job of moving the project forward as the weather permitted. Their communication of plans was exceptional. The work itself outstanding. The quality of the work from Day 1 is above reproach and we absolutely love the design. Both Dave and Tracy provided us with much needed input to design the perfect stamped concrete patio for our space! Couldn't be more pleased...

We started our stamped concrete project by obtaining two quotes. The two contractors we talked with outlined drastically different approaches on adding color to the concrete (Integral vs dry shake-on). One contractor swore that the integral method was superior (color is added to the concrete in the truck before pouring) while the other contractor maintained that the correct way to color concrete was to shake dry powder on the surface (allows for more color choices and hardens providing a stronger surface). At this point, we were confused as to how two reputable contractors provide such drastically different approaches on what seemed to be a straight forward project? We decided we need a third opinion and turned to Angie’s List. Focusing on companies with overwhelmingly positive reviews, we found Turner Concrete and decided they would be our third opinion. Dave Turner personally visited to quote and explained Turner’s approach. He outlined their experience and why he felt the dry shake on method was the preferred method of the two processes we had been introduced to. After meeting with David, we researched more online to get an objective take on the methods of adding color to concrete. Looking at websites of stamped concrete contractors nationwide, we found that contractors who specialize in stamped colored concrete always seemed to recommend the dry shake on method. The true specialists also had comments that closely mirrored what we heard from Dave Turner. Ultimately, we decided to use Turner Concrete. After informing Turner that we wanted them to do our project, Tracy (Dave’s wife) scheduled a date for the project and also came to our house to help us pick out a stamping pattern and to assist with choosing a color. Tracy was also very personable and was a great help showing us pictures of other projects that they had done. Leading up to the date of the project, we were very impressed Dave’s communications; he called several times so that we knew exactly what to expect and when his team would be onsite. The first day, the team of 4 (including Dave), showed up on time and went to work. They were very professional and worked in an efficient manner framing out the project. The second day, they returned and poured/stamped the concrete. Immediately, we were happy with the outcome, but we felt thought the color was lighter and not as vibrant as we expected. Dave told us that the project would look very different after it was sealed. About 10 days later (concrete had to cure), Tracy returned to add additional contrasting color (think of grout between tiles) and to seal the concrete. It was at this time that the color “popped” and went from looking light and chalky to being the exact end product we expected! We plan on having Turner back to complete a patio in back of our home in the future. Well done! Thanks to Dave, Tracy and the rest of the team!

Dave was great to work with. He answered calls and emails quickly. The work began when promised, His wife returned to color the concrete, and she also came when promised. She even helped me pick out the colors to use. The patio looks fantastic!

Dave was a great communicator - he heard from him daily to give updates on scheduling and what to expect each day. The job was done in a timely manner. Overall a super experience!

Turner Concrete did an excellent job overall. They took great care in protecting my existing concrete driveway as well as my deck and three season room floor adjacent to the new patio. They placed plywood over my lawn for the path of the skidsteer that was used to haul the gravel and concrete from the road to the new patio site in our backyard. This prevented any significant damage to my lawn. The site was cleaned every night before they left. They placed rebar at all of the key areas prevent future cracks and tied all of the concrete into any adjacent concrete placed previously. I was kept informed on their schedule and any impacts that were caused by the weather. The work was completed within the timeframe provided when the estimate was given.

The project went as smoothly as possible given the rainy weather pattern we were in!!! The first phase, tearing out, forming, pouring, coloring and stamping went off without a hitch. Dave is very hands-on and was there every day leading his crew. He's very meticulous about the quality of the workmanship and we often overheard him guiding his less experienced crew members and double checking their work! The second phase took a bit longer due to incessant rain...no fault of Dave's or the company's!!! Once there was a break in the pattern, he came out and finished the acid washing. The last phase, Tracey coloring the grout and staining a few "stones" took place immediately. She is so helpful prior to the commencement of the project, offering advice on color and pattern with her great sense of style. Both Dave and Tracey were friendly, professional, highly skilled and wonderful to work with. They were both excellent at communicating with us throughout the entire process. While Turner Concrete may not be the cheapest estimate you get, as my husband says, quality workmanship is it's own bargain! If we ever need more colored, stamped concrete, we'd seek them out immediately.

Had a little damage done to my driveway as a result of the owner hauling too large of a slab of concrete with his skid loader, it was obvious when the rear of the skid loader would not stay down due to too much weight on the front, he proceeded anyway down a steep driveway. I can overlook this issue as being a little careless. The real issue was with the finish color. Per Turner Concrete, this job was scheduled to be done in 4 phases. Phase 1 - remove existing concrete & prep area, phase 2 - pour concrete /stamp / color first half and power wash, phase 3 - repeat for second half, phase 4 - acid wash, final coloring and seal finish. The problem arose after the acid wash was completed on the entire job. I noticed the uniform color of the first half did not match the second half, there were large blotches of much lighter color, 2 to 3 shades lighter than the first half. My first impression was that David Turner the owner, noticed it as well after he had done the acid wash and would fix the big color difference. When Turner concrete called to schedule the final color process, I discussed the color difference between the first and second stamped jobs. Since I was going out of town on the day Turner Concrete scheduled the final color phase, I wanted to put off the final color so I could be on site for the finish/ final color. I was given a flat out NO! The owners wife does all the final color work, so I let her know that I did not like the color difference between the first and second half stamped concrete and I was very specific. She said she would bring with her some of the original color to take care of the much lighter areas where the color was washed out and to trust her, that she would take care of it. When I returned home, I immediately noticed that No color was added, nothing had changed. When I received a follow up call from the owners wife requesting my level of satisfaction on the finish, I was honest, and expressed my disappointment with the finish, big blotches (not subtle) of much lighter color that did not match the first half stamping ( which I was very happy with). I remember, David the owner stated when the first half was complete, that the remaining half would look the same, and I was happy with that. The owners wife said she would have David come out to meet with me and look at the finish color. Several days went by, when I received a call from the owners wife, she informed me that David would not be coming to look at job and since she was in the area, she would stop by that day to look at the finish color / discuss. Upon arrival, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the color difference between the first and second half of stamped concrete. The response was, " it's perfect, it's beautiful, this is what it is supposed to look like". When I disagreed, she got defensive, and started being critical of me, stating things like, " if I wanted everything to look the same or perfect, I should have gone with tile or individual pavers". She would not discuss why no color was added per our phone conversation. She did finally concede that the disparity in the color may be a result of the concrete or the sun. The final outcome, the owner David Turner, who was on the job during the stamping, color and acid wash, never called or stopped by. No one from Turner Concrete offered any options, solutions or indicated in any way if anything at all could be done one way or another. All I received after the 1 on site visit / discussion with the owners wife, was a bill in the mail for the final $340.00 balance remaining (after $9740. previously paid), followed up by a certified letter threatening a lien on my property if payment is not made. Something went wrong in the coloring process or acid wash, but Turner Concrete refuses to acknowledge that as a possibility, because according to the owners wife their process is perfect. From my recent experience, their customer service was terrible during the final stage, anything but perfect! Would not delay, even though I had waited 5 days beyond the 10 day curing process for them to finish work, they said they would add base color, then did not, the owner did not come to the job to see color issues / meet with me, owners wife was rude and was being critical of me when I did not agree with her color assessment, and finally, they started the lien process if I delay payment of the remaining $340.00, total job $10,080. What a way to handle a customer that is dissatisfied? What is really interesting, is why Turner Concrete does not have the customer courtesy to explain why the additional color was not added, and what if anything can be done at this stage? This is a minimum customer expectation that they failed to meet! Job started 4/19/17 finish phase 5/26/17

David with Turner concrete was great. He was punctual, he explained the process thoroughly and was extremely accommodating. I met with a number of different companies and settled on Turner for a variety of reasons. We needed them to bust out the existing patio and then give us a couple weeks to run a trench under for electrical to an out building. They accommodated no problem. They showed up when they said they'd be there, they did the work, made no mess and didn't mess up the yard anymore than necessary. We are very pleased with the patio he put in for us.

Turner gave us some great design options and started and finished the work when they said they would. Our patio looks fantastic, and we couldn't be happier! In fact, we are planning to have them come out again this year to add another patio section.

Dave Turner and his crew are masters of their trade. Grade A work from a team of true professionals. From the first shovel of excavation to the last drop of sealer at the end, these guys are meticulous about their work. And it shows! I am currently looking for more stamped concrete projects to do around the yard! If you are looking for the best stamped concrete contractor in the area, give Dave a call. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent job. Many steps involved over a certain amount of time. The craftsmanship and knowledge of this job was second to none.

Turner Concrete was not the cheapest by any means but they are clearly the best. They had the largest selection of patterns and colors. The crew was extremely professional (and the owner was a part of the crew). The other owner personally came out to detail the pattern by painting each individual line and then professionally sealing the entire patio. We have recommended Turner Concrete to family, friends and neighbors.

Great, we are very pleased! Dave and his crew were punctual and friendly. Removed all the debris needed to pour the patio for us. Gave us updates everyday and let us know the next steps. Overall took about two weeks from start to finish, but now we have a great patio where we used to have a muddy pit and a jump from the backdoor.

Everything went very well. We had 3 stamped concrete companies (all from Angies list) come and give quotes. All did a commendable job and the pricing was fairly close. We picked Turner for both price and presentation. From there on, everything went like clockwork. Although they had a sizeable backlog, they hit their promised dates. The work was done quickly and professionally. Everything has been completed and the patio looks great. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Turner Concrete was very pleasant to work with. Owner Dave Turner was on site daily and was very prompt on start times. The crew all did a great job and pride in workmanship showed. We are very pleased with the resulting patio!

We experienced rain delays, but the owner and his wife kept us updated on the date change(s) and it wasn't a big problem. When they did come, the crew arrived early in the morning on time, and stayed on task. Our patio is absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be happier.

It went well, we had weather issues that caused delays, but obviously that wasn't Turners fault. At all times very cordial and nice to deal with. The only reason they didn't get an A for quality was for a few small things that other people didn't even notice, so I'd give them an A- or B+.

The preparation was complete, the job site was neat! They complete the project exactly to our specifications.
