The owner, Jeff Martens, called me after not selecting them for a new furnace/ac install. They never even came to my residence to give an estimate because I decided to go with another company. He called me and began to complain about how his time was wasted. Due to him being rude, I just hung up the phone. He then kept trying to call me, so I decided to answer again. An owner of a business should not be calling potential customers and acting in this manner. He was completely unprofessional and whining that we never gave his business a chance (and wasted his time), when in reality I was looking to obtain estimates and have my systems replaced. No service members time was wasted, as no one ended up coming to my residence, and an estimate takes no time at all, as I observed this from the other two companies. I would not recommend this company anyone and if I could give it zero stars, I would. Jeff thinks attempting to intimidate a customer is the best way to do business. Word of mouth travels, and I will be spreading this to anyone I can.

I had a new furnace iand duct work insalled 3 years ago. The installation was done well and the furnace works as expected. However, in the past year I have called on three separate occasions with questions regarding the furnace and ductwork. The person answering the phone always has the same response, she will check with a tech and return the call. I have not received a response for any of my questions. I was considering them for a plumbing project but will go elsewhere based on their unresponsiveness.

Very well! I had four contractors come in to provide a quote/estimate. Of the four one did not return an estimate. Martens was not the lowest estimate, but with two excellent references given to me my knowledgeable friends, I selected them. Right on time, went right to work, corrected some things as required, very good to talk with and they explained all they were doing, and how to run the systems when they were done. Very nice, clean installation. They did a very good job of cleaning up afterward. Definitely would hire them again for other work!

Appreciated the same day service. Technician was quick and efficient.

Service tech was very friendly and personable, but service performed not so much, I would never under any circumstance use Martens in the future, stick with Rozga or Gene Wagner. During install had a HUGE mess, water everywhere. In the not so distant future I will actually have to reinstall as the heater is facing the wrong direction. The overflow is facing a finished wall, 180 from the floor drain, if it were to release water it would flow toward the wall, not the floor drain. Overall really crappy looking install less than mediocre experience.

OK, I feel a company shows its true colors in adversity not success. When they replace our water heater they did a fine job and nothing went wrong. But they replaced our outside faucet and there was a leak in our fully finished basement for 3-5 days which ruined our drywall, insulation, and carpeting in a portion of our basement. At first Martins was very helpful and polite. They came out and replaced the part fairly quickly (about 1 Week). This was 3 months ago and they have now told us that it was a faulty part and they will do NOTHING for us. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. When I buy a Samsung TV from wal-mart and the TV doesn’t work guess where I go... NOT Samsung! I am very disappointed with this company and won’t use it again and I would recommend others to use with caution. We bought the part from them, if the part is faulty they should take responsibility for it, but they told us that we, “The Customer”, needs to go after the parts manufacturer. I paid over $300 to have them replace an $80 part so that there are no leaks. This should have been checked before putting it in. This should have been fixed for us by now. As I said to start, a company to me, shows its true colors when things go wrong. You can use this company and if everything goes right great, just know when something goes wrong they do not help.

VERY professional, VERY competent. One man was in charge of the job and he was there every day there was work done. He had other help some days. Martens also contracted to remove the asbestos from my old furnace; a separate outfit did that; they were done in less than a day. (Their work was also very professional.) I was impressed with how hard the Martens men worked, and with their knowledgeable expertise. They had a gas furnace, a humidifier, a wood burner, new thermostats, and a good deal of sheet metal to install--All was done competently. They also un-wired my old furnace and mostly removed that, also the old oil tank--I broke up the cast iron myself. The whole job was not cheap, but OTOH I had a lot done and a lot of new product. The new heating system worked great over this past winter. I am very pleased, once again, to recommend Martens Plumbing & Heating, Inc. of Mukwonago.

The short answer is, "It went great!" Note that I rated price an "A" not because they are cheap, but because they provide good value. I have lived in rural East Troy for about 30 years. In that time we have used Martens Plumbing and Heating to : - replace a water heater - replace a well pump - install a new water softener - replace a well tank - move a gas fired clothes drier - replace another water heater - replace a furnace - replace a central air conditioning system - replace a concrete laundry sink - do numerous odds and ends of miscellaneous plumbing The current owner is the third generation Martens that we've used. The work has all been 'top-drawer.' Of all those jobs, we had a couple of minor issues with one. Martens promptly solved the problems with a smile. I can't imagine why I would ever go to anyone else. I'm just remembering years ago when we had Martens come out to estimate replacing our furnace, and a toilet. They convinced me that neither job needed to be done! That furnace ran another 20 years, and the toilet still works just fine.

Communication was great from start to finish. The crew was timely, professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. The project took multiple days, and it didn't disrupt our lives at all.

It went great. They were very professional and charged me fairly for the work.They also kept me on top of when they'd come out .

Not well. With the call backs and new parts needing replacement, can understand why so costly. Initially, 2 guys were there for about 5 hours tops. Didn't mind paying for 2 plumbers though. Would have taken me days to do what they did. Just costly.

This was the second service company that we had to review the situation. The first company said we needed to run a new electrical line to the air conditioning unit. We didn't feel that was accurate so called Marten's for assistance. The technician arrived timely and worked through the situation. The outcome was that two wire had been crossed in the electrical panel accidently during some recent work. This was realigned and everything worked as expected. He then did a thorough review of the system.

Whoever did the plumbing in my kitchen area did a crappy job. Within the first month of moving in water would leak out of the left side of the sink called the contractor in charge of building my house and it took them 3 weeks to send the plumber out to fix it. No issues occurred after they fix it but it shouldn't take that long to come out to fix it. About a few weeks ago the same thing was happening on the right side of the sink. Keep in mind my house is just a little over 3 yrs old. I called Martens on Friday told them what was going on and they had someone out on Monday the following week. The plumber was very professional and even noticed another spot where it was leaking that I had not noticed before. All in all the visit took about 40 minutes and he extended the piping on the right side of the sink and put new putty around the drainage trap on the right sink.

Called after hours because I wanted to solve problem as fast as possible. Talked to Jim. He was extremely professional on the phone. He arrived Saturday morning on time, was extremely professional and personable. Problem was resolved quickly and the work was top quality. Would 100% use them again for ANY plumbing needs.

From the initial quote until completion everything was handled professionally. Very happy with service and staff involved!!!

Our furnace would not run. I turned off the power to the furnace, turned it back on and the furnace ran OK for several days. Then the problem occurred again. I called Martens and they came out right away but could find no definitive issue. A few weeks later the problem occurred again. Martens came back, ran more diagnostics, discovered the issue and corrected it. Both service people were prompt, courteous, explained what they were doing, what they found (or not) and cleaned up the area when they were done.

They charged me again for another service call when first service accomplished nothing. Then asked for a price to replace system. They sent me a quote in the mail and never followed up personally, so I went with another company for AC and furnace replacement

Went very well. Swiftly and professionally done. I'm quite satisfied; will continue to call on Martens Plumbing and Heating whenever there is something with my pipes or furnace I want fixed.

The company's owner, Jeff Martens tested my water for minerals and hardness before making a recommendation for a new, metered water softener. The unit was installed one week after I contacted them. The two gentlemen from the company who did the install were wonderful: they did a great job with the overall install, but more importantly, they took the time to walk me through the instructions for the use of the unit. They delivered salt and filled the unit and they cleaned up and removed all of the old parts. I have a modern new unit and they left my basement neat and clean. I appreciated their professionalism and customer service as well as the fine job they did.

We were very happy with their service. We had some other company here two years ago and they suggested we get a new air conditioner. These guys at Martens know their stuff. It's nice to have a company you can rely on. They also came the same day that we called as my husband was off of work that day. A great company.

DID VERY GOOD WORK. GAVE AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE. WE WERE SOMEWHAT SURPRISED THAT WE HAD TO COME UP WITH SOME OF THE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS HE ENCOUNTERED WHILE INSTALLING.

THE WORKERS WERE HARDWORKING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. MR. MARTENS HIMSELF PUT IN THE NEW WELL PUMP FOR ME; HE WAS ALSO HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL. IN ALL CASES, THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS WERE BROUGHT TO THE JOB--NO RUNNING BACK TO THE SHOP FOR THIS OR THAT. I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR HEATING DIVISION BUT EXPECT THAT IT WOULD BE SIMILAR IN PROFESSIONALISM. I HAVE ALSO GONE TO MARTEN''S SHOP IN MUKWONAGO FOR AN ODD PART NOW AND THEN (I HAVE AN OLDER HOUSE SO EVERYTHING IS ODD). THEY HAVE HAD IT, OR KNOWN A USABLE WORK-AROUND, EVERY TIME.
