Description of Work: Jim agreed to do some preliminary drawings with an architect for an indoor pool addition that we were looking to build. We hit some hiccups on communications as Jim ran into a family situation that distractedhis attention. After working through that, Jim made up for prior gaps & resolved all issues very respectfully.

+ -1 moreFirst of all, I want to say we were not in a hurry to get this done. Work on the bathroom was delayed by a month due to another big job Jim had involving window installation (that was delayed by weather). Usually I called Jim to see how things were going and when they could start working our our bathroom. When they began it was a professional job from start to finish - it took about a week as Jim stated at the beginning. They layed down cloth to cover our wood floors and carpeting. Plumbers, etc. came on the day and time they were due to complete their task. There was more dust than I expected (it was hard to limit the dust from tile removal since we had an open stair-way). We were very pleased with the work provided by Home Specialists. I never worked with a contractor before and Jim was very helpful with regards to explaining the steps in a bathroom remodel, answering my questions and laying out the costs.
Description of Work: We wanted to remodel/update our guest bathroom and master bath on second floor. We decided to do the guest bath first. Jim Farrell acts as the contractor and organized the work to be done. We had new floor tile installed, new toilet, made-to-order vanity, granite counter top & sink, new hardware, new plumbing fixtures for sink and shower/tub. I bought the hardware & mirror and painted the bathroom. We also kept the lighting fixture which was still relatively new.

replacement windows
+ -1 moreWe were very satisfied with the crew and the work completed. This was the second time we used Home Specialists for window replacement. They did quality, thorough work and made sure we satisfied with the job. The owner followed up immediately to check on the completed work as well.
Description of Work: Two bedroom windows, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, 1 laundry window and 1 dining room window replaced with Anderson high performance windows. HOME SPECIALISTS also replaced small bedroom deck, which they found to be pitched toward the house, sending water down the dining room window. There was no flashing placed around the window previously which was causing damage to the dining room window.
