The crew did a great job

WOW! We could not be more impressed. Taylor Hilliard and Matt Dunwiddie of Hilliard Concrete and Excavating dug and installed our window well, and cut an egress opening into our foundation in 3 hours this morning! They did a beautiful, clean cut, worked incredibly efficiently, and were super nice guys to boot. Very professional -- and we found them on Craigslist. We strained our brain trying to think of other jobs we could hire them for in the future, because they were such a pleasure to work with! These two specialize in cutting egress windows, though, on weekend mornings (during the week I believe they do the mainstream work of Hilliard Concrete; foundations etc), so it may be the last we'll see of them -- we urge anyone who needs an egress window to give them a call, though! We did have another egress window installed last year (see separate review for O'Neil Mudjacking) and there is NO comparison. Erin O'Neil was cagey, dishonest, unprofessional, sloppy, and took several days to do the same work. We did have the contractor install the window last time (which still doesn't work). Taylor and Matt prefer not to do the installation and specialize in the excavation. It worked perfectly for us because my hub wanted to do this work himself which I dreaded... he completely agrees with me that having Taylor and Matt out was hands-down the best decision (between paying $4,000+ for complete installation or doing the entire dangerous and heavy excavation and installation job ourselves). Taylor and Matt had all the right equipment and tons of experience. They were confident, efficient, and matter-of-fact. Their cut was gorgeous (Erin's foundation cut was jagged and choppy and not level; required shimming of the window which he did not do properly when he installed it so it jams). Unlike Erin, Taylor and Matt also cleaned up after themselves. Hire these guys! You will be pleased.
