He's supposed to be the best contractor around and he messed the whole thing absolutely. He did such a bad job, he should never even be a contractor. He wouldn't listen to everything I said. When I told him what to do, he glared at me and it was nasty. I showed him how to start the job. He messed it up so badly now I have to do it myself. It was a complex structure but he said he could do it so we let him do it and the result was horrendous. He walked away and said that it's gonna fall down when I told him he's not doing what I want. Then his worker yelled at me, "It's gonna fall down." I studied his work and this will fall down, what are they up to? So I called the engineer and he said it's gonna fall down so I have to tear all his work down and redo everything he messed up with my work. He would not even listen to an informed opinion. He's good at some things but I don't care about that. He's a terrible builder and the worst builder I've ever seen. If you expect a house will stand up, don't hire him. As an experienced contractor, I do know something about construction. Don't expect communication, anything, from this fellow. He's a danger, he's gonna go out and mess people's house out. He likes to do construction but he's a total amateur at it. I'm getting elderly so I want a bathroom downstairs. I wanted it built on the addition. He wanted to take our study and put a bathroom in there and I didn't want that. He's been coming over here and he's been selling his idea to us and that's not what you do. Our profession as contractors is that we are there to serve what the customer wants and that's a sign of a good architect. They don't give you something you don't want and try to shove it down you. That's my experience with him. I swear that there's no personal animosity here. It's based upon that I want the public to know you better watch out when you hire this guy. Hire him by the contract and make sure you know what he's gonna offer. Do not pay upfront.
