A large portion of our maple tree fell onto our fence and neighbor's gazebo. Mike returned my call promptly and arrived to inspect the tree first thing the next morning. The portion of the tree which fell was carefully removed so as not to further damage our neighbor's property. He advised us to remove the rest of the tree as it was unstable and completed most of this work the same day. The crew came back a few days later to finish and clean up. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with and the crew was very professional and careful to protect our house and garage throughout the process.

Mike is great to deal with, and did a great job. His quote was much less than the nearest quote. I would recommend to anyone.

Very friendly and professional. I asked for a copy of their liability insurance policy, which Mike mailed to me, although it took about 2 weeks. Once we set up the appointment to do the job, everything went smoothly. Completely removed the birches and nearly all of the Maple, leaving only the smaller Maple logs as I requested, cut into fireplace lengths. Very reasonable price and attention to detail.

Mike came to the property and provided an estimate on a handshake and returned with a crew to do the work as discussed. The area was cleaned up upon completion. He seemed experienced and knowledgeable about tree care. Friendly and easy to work with; flexible and accommodating in suggesting alternatives and in planning the work. A positive experience that has convinced me to call upon him again soon to do some additional work.

It went well. When we settled on a time for the work, they came and did a very good job.

I called and left a message for Mike Johnson, owner. He returned my call promptly and happened to be in the area and said he could swing by that day to do an estimate. He prepared the estimate on the spot. His price was competitive and I selected his service. Mike said he would be able to get to it the following week and he would call me with potential times. On Sunday night he called and asked if Monday was okay. I said sure, but I wouldn't be home. No problem with him. When I got home, the tree was gone, the mess was cleaned up and he used the wood shavings and sawdust to help fill up the hole where the stump was ground out. We are having a gas insert put into our fireplace and had no more use for our wood pile. Mike agreed to remove the wood pile at no extra cost.

Mike did a great job! He even raked the front yard after the trees were trimmed. And the price was fantastic--other companies were charging twice as much. The only slight drawback was that it took Mike a little while longer to get back to us--other companies responded more quickly and were willing to schedule work more quickly. However, given the quality of service and the price, we'd use Mike again in a second. Highly, highly recommended!!!

It went great. They came and pruned the tree on a day we were working and when I came home everything just looked the way it did before--except the tree of course! There were a few little shavings in the yard but on the whole it was very clean--the tree looks really nice. They were able to prune very high and over the house even though the tree was in our backyard with nowhere to back a truck into.

Original phone contact was not returned for several days since owner (Mike Johnson) was on vacation. Original date to visit site for estimate was not honored, and no phone communication received until several days later to reschedule. Final scheduling of the job was loose ("Wednesday or Thursday") with crew actually showing up on Friday. But final product and price were great, so worth the wait. Very professional equipment and approach (e.g., they lay plywood on the lawn before driving in the heavy cherry picker, clean up was excellent).

They were reasonable, and because some of the trees were hanging over in the neighbors property they were very respectful of that and nothing was damaged on either of our properties. They were also very quick and were able to get the whole job done in just 4 hours.

This company was prompt in getting me the estimate. They provided an estimate on tree and shrub trimming. He broke down the estimate by type of tree plus the shrubs. I chose to work on the shrubs myself, so I crossed that out on his estimate and let him know that I wanted the trees but not the shrubs trimmed which was no problem. We set up a date to have the work done, I think in about 7 to 10 days. There was some miscommunication in setting up that first date. I thought I had set it up for a Tuesday, but Mr, Johnson had it scheduled for the Wednesday of that week. When I contacted him he readily agreed to reschedule. I was not available the next Tuesday, so we set it for the Tuesday after (Tuesday is my day off). He arrived on time for the appointment. He had me walk with him around my yard to make sure he knew what I wanted done with the trees. I think he had a crew of 3 or 4 with him. They worked quickly and I think they were done in about two hours. As they were finishing up, we walked around the yard again, to check to see if everything was what I wanted. There was no problem with any of the work that was done. There was no damage to my yard or other plants.

I called Mike - he gave me a quote on Monday evening. After a few questions I accepted it on Wednesday evening and he did the job on Thursday. After checking with me that it was OK, he picked up the check on Friday. Everything was done exactly to specification. They cleaned up perfectly. I didn't get any other bids and this is the first time I've hired a tree service, so I can't say for sure whether the price was good, bad, or indifferent. But it seemed very fair to me.

Mike was very quick to respond to my call asking for advice and an estimate on a large silver maple. He was able to schedule around our schedule and come in the early evening to inspect our tree. He also inspected other trees on our property and made some very good suggestions that we decided to act on. When I asked about the invasive vines and bushes in the backyard he told me how I could kill them myself and save some money. He also gave me a very reasonable estimate for having him take care of them while they were here. The total job took 1.5 work days, and they were very conscientious and cleaned up our backyard very well. The price we paid was considerably less than any other estimate we obtained and the work done was excellent!

We were a little worried taking the lowest bid ($844 for two 40' trees, stump removal and cleanup), especially since the highest bid was more than twice that. Fortunately, we were very pleasantly surprised. Johnson Tree Care did a great job, completed the work quickly, and only asked for payment once we were satisfied with the work. They left about a face cord of firewood and took all the branches and large chunks away, and also left a lot of hardwood mulch for our garden. They also gave our neighbors a discount on tree removal since they had to drive across the neighboring lawn to do our trees. They put down boards so they don't damage the lawn, too, which was nice of them.

Awesome! We asked Mike to remove the tree and the stump and do cleanup. Not only did he do all this in a timely manner, he actually brought along a piece of sod and put sod in our front lawn where the tree had been, so the yard looked perfect, like the tree had never been there in the first place when he left! We were so impressed!

What I liked about Michael is the fact that when I called him for a bid in the beginning of the process he answered my phone calls promptly, was very enthusiastic about his work, and answered all my questions even though the mosquitoes were eating him alive. He gave me a very accurate estimate of when the work would be done and after they had done the work it was hard to tell they had even been there.(i.e. they did not rip up the lawn). Michael stuck to the penny on his bid.
