+ -1 moreThe stove flue was improperly mounted to the roof and the following winter snow and ice falling from the roof caused the flue to collapse and water to damage our home. Fireside Hearth and Home was unresponsive to the damage, calling it an 'act of God'. The replacement stove, installed by another builder, included an ice dam on the roof which is required in our area (it was not installed by Fireside Hearth and Home). Furthermore, Fireside Hearth and Home continued to maintain the damage was an 'act of God' and would not reimburse us, forcing us to go to court with their insurance.
Description of Work: Fireside Hearth and Home installed a wood stove to our home.
