+ 0 moreMatt is very knowledgeable and was great to work with and the inspection was very reasonably priced compared to what other structural engineers charge. He was very responsive to phone calls and emails and showed up to our appointment right on time. He was very thorough and took the time to explain things to me while he was performing the inspection. He took tons of measurements and provided me with an opinion as to what caused the issue, and several recommendations to mitigate future problems.
Description of Work: Structural evaluation of cracking in my block foundation walls with report.

+ -1 moreOur experience with Ed was terrific, and we would recommend him highly. He was incredibly thorough in both his inspection and written report but what we found to be particularly valuable was his verbal review of the inspection results. He was so patient in explaining his inspection findings and his concerns, taking care to insure that we understood them each. His findings have been invaluable in guiding us in prioritizing our subsequent repair work and, in fact, the estimates from specialists which we have since gotten on various issues have confirmed his findings. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Ed completed a very thorough home inspection for our 1920 Milwaukee duplex. We bought this deteriorating 1920 Milwaukee duplex in 1990, and being young and this our first home, we hired contractors having no choice but to trust. We recently got re-energized and began undertaking many more improvements. We sought this inspection in order to review prior work and to take stock of needed improvements. He spent many hours thoroughly assessing our site, grounds and condition of house exterior as well as some of the recent work done: roofing, grading for drainage, new garage. The interior inspection was complete: all systems - plumbing, electric, heating and cooling. He also reviewed the structure, basement, and crawl spaces and all rooms with including the much-remodeled bathrooms and kitchens. Also, much time was spent reviewing the condition of our remodeled third floor bonus room. Ed not only wrote detailed report but also spent time going over it with us.
