They were great, the appointment was set for a two hour window, they arrived about 15 minutes into the window. He explained what he was going to try to do and was able to get his tool down the toliet and pulled out the paint thinner cover that was causing the issue. Only took about 15-20 minutes to fix and as he was leaving also looked at faucet I was having issues with. They send a bill in the mail and the price was very reasonable, we were very happy and would use them again in the future.

It went very well. Prompt, good communicator, hard worker. When I received the bill in the mail the next week, it was for the amount that I was quoted for having the kitchen pipe cleared. Would use again!

Joe was terrific and seemed very honest. Everything was very organized and professional and their estimate to put new pipes, shutoff and a new disposal in seemed really reasonable. I'm sure we'll use them for that as well as anything else we may need.

Excellent quick service, was able to get an extra task done within the first hour that I didn't mention on the phone when scheduling appt. Very reasonable pricing. Will be calling them again for another project.

Taagen Plumbing did a very nice job doing the work I needed done.

They got there when they said they would and proceeded to snake out our bathtub and sink drains. They finished wtithin an hour. They were very considerate and even cleaned out the tub and sink when they were done.

They did a great job. I was pleased with the work. They still have to come and install one more piece that they said just came in.

Matt showed up right on time, and was very polite. He took the time to analyze my 100 year old plumbing system so he would "start" in the most logical part of the system, and "end" the job in the correct spot. He snaked the entire 100 feet through the pipes in my basement in two spots, two time each, and explained what he was doing and why each time. He cleaned up perfectly, and was very neat during the process. (All things considered!!!) I learned quite a bit about my plumbing system in this 100 year old home I had just purchased that I would of never had a clue about. I will never again have a sewer cleaner out that isn't a plumber. In my old home in Waukesha, I probably hired 6 or 8 guys over the years. Taagen was the first "plumber" company I used, and was way better. I feel I got more for my money with them. I will be using them again when my tree roots grow back. I will use the chemical that they recommended in the meantime to keep them at bay.

Everything went great. The plumber was very nice and professional, he was very clean which is what I was most concerned about.

Not much to tell. The plumber arrived when he said he would, and quickly, efficiently, and professionally cleaned out the sewer line. He was pleasant and we jovially discussed the job. He finished up and cleaned up quickly.

I suddenly had water backing up through my sewer drains in the basement. I searched on the list for a plumber close by who had 24 hr service (I wanted someone who could respond right away so I didn't have to miss more work). I picked Taagen because they had good recent reviews. The price seemed reasonable so I had them come out. They were at my house within 30 minutes and had my problem fixed within an hour. They cleaned things up and gave me a good explanation of the problem and alternate remedies should it occur in the future. I would not hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

They were prompt and very professional. The plumber that worked on the house was friendly and took care to switch to indoor shoes while moving between the garage and the basement. The price was what I expected and did not seem high for roughly two-hours of work.

Very professional and helpful. Answered numerous questions I had about the plumbing in the house while he worked. I wasn't sure whether the extra time we spent talking would be added to the bill, or whether that was worth the value of the advice I was getting. In the end, the time Taagen charged for was more than fair, and I have a much clearer idea about some of the other work that might be done in the future. There was no sales pitch, just basic information about our home that I couldn't have figured out on my own, and wouldn't have trusted to a google search.

I felt the guy, who was a co-owner, took his time and did a thorough job cleaning tree roots out of the sewer. I was pleased with the care exhibited and I would be happy to use them again. I thought the price quoted on the phone was appropriate, though I havent gotten the final bill, I dont expect it to be more.

I have used Taagen several times before (putting in a hot water heater, adding an outside garden faucet, fixing a clog, etc), and have been pleased with their service and responsiveness. I intend to use them again. This time, they came on time, did a nice thorough job (they were not in a hurry, which is nice when doing the sewer cleaning job that has a fixed price). They snaked out the line more than once to be sure it was clear, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. Another of the brothers stopped by, and at the last minute decided to have him fix a toilet, which went fine as well. I like using this company, and supporting a family run business.

Overall, everything went very well. The plumber was able to solve an unusual problem for us.

The man cleaned the line from our house to the street. He pulled out some roots - not much - and cleaned up afterward. He listed a few options regarding additional work, which he let us know we didn't need. His price was the same as everyone else's - it seems standard.

One plumber arrived on time, when he saw the scope of the job was bigger than expected he called in & they sent another plumber to help. Second plumber was a bit more experienced and was able to tackle a job the other plumber had difficulty with. All jobs were completed well and in a timely matter. There was a small problem that the first plumber had and a lack of communication to us about it. However, in working with Tom & Julius from Taagen the issue was easily resolved and we are very happy with their work. Of special note is that the overall service was excellent and communicaiton and efforts by Taagen to resove the smal issue was extraordinary. We would hire them again. The B grade for professionalism applies only to the first plumber and the small issue he did not communicate to us. All other personal were excellent.

Whether it was a remodel/upgrade or a repair, they have been great

The experience started off good with a phone call to Taagen asking them for a quote/estimate for a toilet and pedestal sink install- I was quoted one hour for the job per a receptionist. I thought that sounded very reasonable since I know what the job entails. Then a guy named Joe came out to do the install and didn't like the toilet or faucet we wanted to use (said it was old, I told him that my husband basically rebuilt the inside of the toilet and we were unable to find a toilet that fit without hitting the door. We have a very small 1920's bathroom) He said that he had one in the shop that he would bring out when they do the install. He wanted my husband to put some 2x6's behind the drywall in order to mount the pedestal properly and wanted us to finish the wall before he did the job. So, here is where the problem lies. When I called to reschedule, the receptionist couldn't get me in for a WEEK and said that the job would take 4 hours. After I questioned the fact that this would take four hours, she said that the son of the owner, Tom would call me back. Well, they don't return phone calls until 5:30 and if you miss their phone call, good luck, because you have to wait until the next day at 5:30 to talk to them again. To make the long story short, I canceled my apt for the 4 hour install and Tom left me a message saying that he was then going to charge me $125 (permit fee, when the permit was only $55!!!), a hour service call (when the plumber who came out to do the work refused to do the job), and a restocking fee for the toilet which I never ordered!! What a joke!! Seriously, these guys are as crooked as you can get. I told him that I would NEVER order a toilet that I did not see with my own eyes that the door closes properly and I inquired about the permit fee and he said that the extra $65 is for all the extra work---give me a break. In the end, I told him I would find someone to do the job in one hour (which I did, Martin's Plumbing, give them your business not these crooks!) because that is what you should be able to do the job in - one hour. I don't know if they thought because I was a woman they could take advantage of me, but I am not a fool. I told them if they don't honor the one hour time slot (which they didn't) I would take my business elsewhere and just pay for the $55 permit fee, and that is what ended up happening. I am happy the whole ordeal is over and I was able to get the job done properly by a MASTER plumber that didn't charge me $400 for the job.

I had a very good experience with Taagen Plumbing. The lady I spoke with was understanding of my urgent situation. She promptly called back with an estimate and fit me in to there schedule that day. The best part was when I saw how quickly the plumber did the job. I felt he really respected my pocket book. He did a great job, he gave me a run down of what he did, replacement parts that we replaced and cleaned up under the sink. I received the bill and it was right in line with what they estimated. I will go with them again!

A kid clogged our toilet with too many moist wipes, and we had company coming for the weekend. Other plumbers I called charge a huge premium for coming Fri or Sat, as well as a same-day premium and a high trip charge. An independent plumber I know who was not available referred me to Taagen. They were fantastic! They were at my house on a Friday afternoon within 20 minutes. The charge for same-day service is just $25, not $100 like with other companies. And they charge $100 to come and work for an hour, less than other prices I was quoted. Then they charge by the hour in 15-minute increments. I called about the toilet, but he got that fixed in less than an hour, so I asked him to clear our sink drains as well, which he cheerfully did.

They were responsive, professional and reliable.

These guys rock. I called on a Friday afternoon, desperate to get my only bathtub back in service. They were able to come out the same afternoon. They were clean and respectful, and FAST! They looked at my problem in the basement, and quickly returned with the necessary stuff to fix that too. I would use them again in a heartbeat! Everything was perfect, and I thought the bill was very reasonable!

The toilet in our bathroom was 25 years old and had been giving us occasional trouble. We contacted Taagen about replacing it. They spent lots of time working with us to find a toilet that would fit the space. We ended up selecting a model they regularly stock so they were able to come out quickly and perform the replacement. This is the third time we've used Taagen and we have been very pleased with their work, their attitude and their value each time.
