We couldn't have been happier with the work done by Taagen plumbing. They saw to it that the pipes will no longer freeze, by rerouting them and also adding heat tape to the pipes as well as insulation. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the shower (which was a nice surprise). The sinks were put in and the toilets were gone over so that they are working. Then, when we had water start to come in in the living room after all the work was done, they were over to the house in about an hour and diagnosed what was wrong and fixed it promptly. It turned out that the drain was partially closed and when too much water went down too quickly it needed someplace to overflow. So, in that everything had seemed fine for about 5 days, it was just a problem waiting to show up under the right circumstances. All the guys were great and knew what they were doing. This is the first time that I can say that we now have plumbers that we can like and trust.

They did a great job. They showed up on time. They got the work done. They were very accommodating towards the errands that the electrician made. I’ll definitely use them again.

They are very good. They are prompt and very responsive. They are very punctual, too. Their prices are reasonable and fair. They do different kinds of work for us. Whenever we’ve called them, they have been really prompt. We’ve not had any problems with them. We do like them and we’d recommend them highly.

The project went very well. I'd worked with Taagen in the past and been quite pleased. They always arrive on time (a rarity among contractors) and are very professional and respectful of my time and my house. They needed to cut open part of a bedroom wall to get to the pipes and were careful to preserve as much as possible so that I could repair it fairly easily. The work was finished promptly and, so far, works like a charm. I was charged the amount of the estimate.

Taagen plumbers are top rate! Fair price for great work! They are a family run business and treat their customers with respect and honesty. We just moved and needed to have the laundry area re-plumbed. I explained the work I needed done over the phone and got a rough estimate. They showed up on time as expected. Due to a few surprises in our plumbing situation, they had to come back another day to finish up the work. They came back as promised and got everything working exactly as we wanted. Also, after the sump-pump was installed and we had our first hard rain, we experienced some rattling from the pipes in that area. Taagen came back and fixed the rattle for no extra charge. They take extra time to make sure everything is done well and that you are completely satisfied. Some plumbers try to sell you extra things or convince you that you need additional work done. Taagen is the opposite. If they can re-use something or if it is not in need of repair, they will let you know! I highly recommend Taagen as a trustworthy and highly reliable contractor.

Extremely punctual, worked hard, thorough, pleasant, explained everything in layperson's terms. Had amazingly responsive office management--VERY customer-friendly. No complaints [unless the bill has a surprize :>/ ]

Did a great job - punctual, gave us an estimate that was later lowered because he didn't replace all the pipes behind the tub, just the one with the leak, gave us a new faucet and showerhead. He did a great job cleaning up. Besides fixing a terrible leak, the heat and water pressure have both increased dramatically. We feel like we have a new bathroom! I'd highly recommend this company.

They are good. I like them. They are prompt and courteous when they come out. They are good at explaining what they have to do and what doesn't need to be done. I've used them twice.

The woman who answers their phone is a gem - straightforward, understanding, polite. The plumber arrived within the scheduled time, listened to my concerns and had both pipes clear in less than an hour. The drains had been slow for a while, had not responded to liquid plumber or other home remedies and I was worried that major work would be needed. It was a relief to have the problem resolved so efficiently.

The tub retails for $48 at home improvement stores, but would never fit in my car. I had the same job done in a house I owned in Columbus, OH two years ago and was charged about $115. The cost of the tub and a one-hour service call (it took about 20 minutes). Taagen gave me an estimate over the phone of $850. That was about an hour ago and I STILL haven't stopped laughing. I just ordered the $48 tub (w/ free shipping) online, and my father-in-law will swap it out for us when they're here for Thanksgiving. It would have been nice to get it done sooner, but at that price Taagen would also have to come over and do my laundry for six months!

Better water pressure! They were the least expensive quote I received despite their strong reputation.

Excellent! This company is VERY friendly and low-key, but neat, professional, clear communicators.

Problem presented itself as a hose-bib that kept sounding like water was running whenever the faucet was turned on -- even if the nozzle on the hose was "shut off." We were time-pressured -- we were leaving the country in a couple of days. They came out early the day after we called. The man that came said it sounded like a leaking pipe due to freeze damage -- even though there was no evidence of water inside the wall where the pipe came from the house. There was no way to extract the bib from the outside. After determining that there was no way to access the pipe from the inside of the house without cutting a hole in the inside drywall, he measured very carefully and cut a hole (roughly 8"x10") in exactly the right spot, cut the pipe and then managed to pull the whole bib assembly out from the outside. Sure enough there was a tiny hole in the faucet's piping that was the source of the running water sound. Turns out it was right in the middle of an empty section of the concrete blocks and aimed down -- The inside wall was dry because the water was aimed at the dirt of the foundation, and we'd never left the water on long enough to create an overflow into the building itself. This had made it tough to diagnose or even to recognize as a busted pipe. In replacing the pipe, the hole in the concrete block wall had to be slightly enlarged to accommodate the new faucet. Then it was just a question of sealing up the hole and reconnecting the new faucet to the existing copper piping. The plumber explained exactly what he was doing and why, very courteous. He was also very careful not to track up the rugs with dirt from outside while he was working inside the house. He offered to patch the drywall, but I volunteered to do that by myself. He cleaned up after himself, and only billed me for the cost of the faucet and a few connecting fittings (at uninflated prices) and an hour of work -- even though he had actually spent a little more than that in actual time. Overall, I was very impressed and appreciative. Taagen had scheduled the appointment very quickly, they showed up right when they said they would, diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly, made sure the job was done right the first time, and charged a very reasonable amount for what they did. I recommend them highly.

I felt that I was satisfied overall when the work was originally completed. Taagen did a good job to work with my schedule so that I could have running water in my new house as soon as possible after the closing date. At the time, I was confused by the fact that someone had taken the old lav. fixtures and scrap parts. I did not yet know whether or not the faucet was in working condition and the scrap parts were set aside for myself and I did not know why someone would reach inside a closed toilet tank to remove them. However, when I addressed this matter Taagen gave me a credit to purchase a new lav. faucet. Now, 6 months later, I called Taagen to come out and repair the toilet seal because I notice water seeping out at the base of the toilet. This is where the problem occurred: Julius Taagen told me conflicting stories as to why the toilet is not sealed properly and that he won't stand behind the warranty. He accused the person who laid the new floor of not installing a new subfloor. Later, in a follow-up conversation, he referred to the handyman (who happens to be a personal friend who was helping me) as a hack. Not only did he insult and slander my friend, he insulted me by lying to me because I saw that the old floor was ripped out and I saw the new subfloor with my own eyes. In the final conversation, as I tried to explain that these stories were inaccurate, Julius Taagen refused to listen, raising his voice, and cutting me off as I spoke. When I pointed out that I expected a more professional approach, his next response was to say," Find yourself another plumber." and hang up on me. I can't believe that after being highly recommended, Julius Taagen could treat someone with such disrespect. I simply can't understand why I received such treatment when the problem was a simple one that could have been resolved in very little time. Such a horrible experience over a simple job- resealing a toilet.

They were really easy to talk to. They were really reasonable on prices. They are also very personable people. They were really easy to schedule an appointment with as well.

Excellent service, but the final bill ($225) was higher than the estimate ($170). The plumber did explain he had to do some extra work to make the faucet fit with existing siding, but he did not indicate that would contribute to a higher bill price.

All in all they were good. They explained everything they were doing and I thought their price was competitive. I am very satisfied with the work. They were also prompt.

The person who answers the phone is always friendly, courteous and professional. Taagen's business really seems to have expanded over the past few years, but she still remembers us when we call. We have had each of the three (I think that there are just three!) brothers out to perform work, and we have always been satisfied. The guys are punctual, easy to talk to, neat and professional. Their rates are also on the reasonable side. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them. The only time that they weren't able to help us was with the replacement of a water pressure tank that is part of our well water system. They let us know on the phone that they didn't do that, and recommended somebody else.

Quickly returned my call. Friendly, helpful, and gave an estimate on the phone of $250-270.00. Made an appointment for 3 days later. They said "8 sharp" and they meant it. Courteous and efficient at doing the work.

Simple job, but they were extremely professional and handled it just as if was a larger job. Explained what might need to be done in phone call and arrived were on time and left nothing a clean work area.
