+ -1 moreTom repaired our clothes dryer, which was making a scraping sound when it turned. I called him in the afternoon, and he was there either that day or the next morning. He was on time and in and out quickly. He told me that the noise wasn't a serious problem, probably just the age of the dryer, and that it wouldn't affect performance. I asked him if he could do something about the noise, and he took care of it with grease. He was in and out quickly. $75 seemed a little steep for the amount of time he was here, but it's not out of keeping with what other repair folks charge.
Description of Work: Repaired loud noise coming from clothes dryer.

Description of Work: Tom came to my house and examined my broken wash machine. I bought it used for $140.00 dollars. He gave me an estimate for repairs and was honest that because of the nature of the repair and the age of the machine there would be a likely chance that the same malfunction would occur again after it was repaired. He only charged me for the service call. His information was helpful in determining that it would be better to buy a new machine, rather than to repair it.

+ -1 moreTom repaired our Frigidaire washing machine, coming over quickly, completing the work within the estimated time, and giving us helpful tips on how to keep the machine running at its best. The cost came in under his estimated amount and he was very professional, having many years' experience in the industry. The machine since has been running with no problems whatsoever.
Description of Work: Our Frigidaire washing machine had developed a problem. The machine was sometimes improperly loaded and had started failing to spin. At the end of the cycle, the machine would still be full of water. Tom took the machine apart and replaced the worn-out parts.
